Went to yoga yesterday morning. always a good strength workout.
later the 30 min step section from Cardio supersets.... a good workout. I think combined with the rest of cardio supersets, it would equal Afterburn. that kind of "step" I can do using a high step. few burpees in there. then I did the spin bike for 20 min. we are using bike shoes & clip- in pedals. I keep coming out of one clip, can see why I had so much trouble riding with them. my ankles are very flexible...I have too much sideways motion to stay clipped in. that's how you release yourself, move ankles sideways and I do it repeatedly while pedaling and can't seem to prevent it, especially on the left. I think the attachment can be adjusted so will look at that in the future.
Deb, I have serious hip flexors from all the biking, running, hiking. wall squats.. I don't like to go below 90 degrees flexion with weight. feels wrong to me. as long as my thighs don't go much below parallel I'll do them. to me, picking up the cups feels more like core/lower back. I don't notice it in my legs at all. I am short too, maybe that helps.
We could have Lowes do it, but then need to schedule it, someone (me) has to sit there and wait for them etc. If you're used to doing things yourself, it seems like a huge waste of time and money. It's like chopping down a tree.. easier to have someone else do it, but you get a great feeling of accomplishment if you do it yourself. but we don't do ALL trees ourselves. some are too complicated. I think we have the judgement to be sure we're not over our heads. we knew the connections were easy because we had a plumber do some work on the last water heater. we ALMOST had Lowes do it this time but once we got started one step led to another, and soon we were half way thru. trust me, the topic did come up.
Lynda hope the DW got fixed. I watched the repair guy take ours apart... the pump failed when it was quite new. it's easy for newer ones to get plugged up with small food debris. my old DW had an easy-to-reach strainer that could be emptied, but the new one.. needed to take it apart to get where debris was blocking. a little planned obsolescence by the manufacturer. the phosphate thing is an issue. I'm using Cascade brand and it works well.
