Good morning fitness buddies....

Last night was BodyMax without UB. That was one fast workout! Becky - I did do it on an 8-inch step, and I was thinking the same thing, I'm crazy, especially as tired as I was but I got it done.

Today is the 30 minute run and a segment of CoreMax.

The Christmas party my employer give us every year is today at noon. I am hoping I don't eat myself silly. The food is always so good. They turn the hospital cafeteria into a winter wonderland with decorations, low lighting, candles and the food stations are unbelievable. There is always a huge ice sculpture with very large shrimp and just about any food you can possibly think of. Then there is the dessert fantasy room where every cheesecake know to man is in there along with tons of other desserts. All this is ALL YOU CAN EAT!!

Send vibes my way folks to keep it under control. I am just about back into my smallest pants after my vacation three and a half weeks ago. I still have a 1/2 inch to go on my hip and 1/2 on my thighs!! I HAVE TO REMEMBER THIS!
 
Good Morning Everyone!

30 minute run and abs on the rotation today. I'm gonna do the run but maybe skip the abs. I did abs yesterday (with bodymax) and also the day before....so I think I'll add them on tomorrow instead.

Jane, good luck today at the party! I think you should take me along to "help" you stay away from the food.}( :p Okay, maybe I wouldn't be much help. I would probably allow myself a little bit of a slip since this only comes around once a year, but wouldn't want to completely lose it!

Yesterday I baked cookies- mexican wedding cakes , gingersnaps & made pb fudge and more buckeyes. I am proud to say I didn't taste a thing. Today..........MORE BAKING!!

Hi again, Jane I hope you will have a great party, Becky those cookies- mexican wedding cakes , gingersnaps... sound delicious :9 :9 . I have just finished Mix it Up. I have sweated buckets and the muscles are burning. I loove my Slim Series workouts.I've found that for fat loss, the best results I've personally gotten have been from a mix of the "Slim Training" rotation with a pure cardio workout.I am another fan of slim series. I have just ordered Slim in 6 Burn it Up and Keep it Up and am hoping that I like that as much.When I will order the new TJ workouts I will order Keep it Up too. Have a great day everyone.

Yesterday was Circuit Max (with spinning for cardio) and a Baptiste beginner yoga DVD. Today will be just cardio (spinning) short abs and light stretch.

Jane- The party sounds really swanky for a hospital cafeteria! My hosptial never did such a thing when I worked! My DH does a very nice party for his staff (a private medical practice) too. They usually do chocolate fondue for dessert with about a million cookies that are just decadent!

Hey Judy, believe it or not there is a fondue station in the dessert room with cookies, huge strawberries, etc.. among all the other goodies. It is just overwhelming! I have been with this hospital for eight years and this is something they have done for a long time before I went to work there. It is very very nice. They also have a breakfast session and a dinner session to make sure they cover all shifts.

I am going to need all of my willpower today and I am wearing a pair of my pants that I am "almost" back into but are not indecent:)

Hopefully the snugness of the pants on my butt will deter me from going off the deep end!

Yesterday was LL, PUB down only and KPC's kicking and punching combos for a little cardio.

Today is cardio, legs and abs. I'll probably do step for cardio, and maybe some ME for legs and then a ctx ab section....

My 30 min. run is complete and I am skipping abs today.

I've been shopping already and now onto more wrapping and baking!

I did combo one of RS this morning on a 6" step (had done it on 4" only until now!) and am now about to do ME lower body and abs and then will do another 30 mins of step afterwards if time allows...

Hi fit friends,

I will be doing cardio at the rec ctr today. It is so cold here and I am having a hard time making myself workout in the morning in the very cold basement.

Mariangeles-I too am liking the slim series. I definitely need to add solid cardio workouts to them as well.

Wendy, fantastic workout!!! I'd say you ought to be pretty fried!

I did fabulous at the Christmas party, took a small portion of everything that I wanted and when I got to the dessert room, I took a small sliver of two cheesecakes, brownie cheesecake and turtle cheesecake, combined it was about a 1/4 of a regular slice, I had one small piece of chocolate candy, four strawberries and two cherries dipped in chocolate fondue.

I am so relieved and I feel so good, not sick and ready to crawl in the bed and die!! There is something to be said about restraint. Well it has been about an hour and a half since I ate, so I am suited up for the 34 degrees outside and going to get my run in before the rain gets here.

Thanks Jane and great work at the party!!! I can tend to lack self-restraint when it comes to parties and a room full of food!}( Good for you for being able to hold back! Right on!:7

We are in the middle of a snowstorm (ohio) and they are predicting 7" of snow tonight!

I baked all day again. Today I made snickerdoodles, gooey butter cookies, white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, and a chocolate cookie with a rolo in the middle. I didn't even taste a cookie but did just eat a couple rolos that didn't get put into a cookie.
That's not too bad though. :p

I am waiting for DH to get home from work and he's late, and the roads are horrible. (and I'm a worrywort) also my dd is at a dr. appointment, so I hope she gets home safely soon, so I can stop pacing!
 
Becky, I know what you mean about being nervous until everybody gets home. DH is up in Louisville, KY and he just called and asked me to get the weather for there on the Weatherbug. Snow, ice and 17 degrees!! He is not a happy camper. I told him to be careful and I'll worry until he is out of that mess.

The rolo cookies sound wonderful!!! What in the world are you going to do with all those cookies!!?? LOL!!

I just finished my run, 40 minute run with a 10 minute power walk to warm up and cool down, now off to do CoreMax #2 and then to feed the horses and then I have an hour and a half to work to make off for getting off early today. I could let it slide but I don't want it to eat into my OT and we are soooo far behind. My poor supervisor, who I dearly love, is having stroke after stroke about the work load. I hate it when she is stressed.
