PERSONAL INFORMATION ON THE WEB

I've posted this before, but I feel the need to post again. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be extremely careful what information you make available about yourself & your family via internet public forums. There is a post on Ask Cathe by someone that put her first & last name, home phone number, the city & state that she lives in & that she has 3 small children in the post. This is EXTREMELY dangerous! I could give you details as to just how dangerous this is but that could possibly give some freak information he/she doesn't already have.

I cannot emphasize enough how dangerous this is! PLEASE DON'T POST PERSONAL INFORMTION SUCH AS THIS ON PUBLIC INTERNET FORUMS!!!! I don't want to read about you in the paper!

As a paralegal who works on violent crime prosecution matters, and who has worked on her fair share of stalking / harassment complaints, I have to second, third and fourth FitnessGoddess's warning. There are a lot of savvy, sophisticated sickos out there, and they're most of them pretty NetLiterate.
