Personal Goal Checkin Tuesday......

Hey, sorry I haven't posted this thread since last Fri! We have been super busy. We have been painting our bathrooms (I really suck at painting, my poor husband and to go around after me with touchup paint, and he was busy let me tell you! He would yell my name, then scream, and then say "I love you, honey. Please don't paint again without me." He demonstrated incredible restraint because I made a HUGE mess). We are going to get our living room done this weekend. Hopefully we will have pictures for you!!!

I have been doing really well. I ate some dark chocolate with my sister yesterday, but other than that, I have nothing to report sugarwise. I did have a huge bucket of buttered popcorn on Saturday night during our first date in almost 2 months. It was goooooood. I did feel miserable afterwards, though. My tummy didn't like all that fat. Next time it will be unbuttered.

Have a good day everyone!

Missy

Hey Missy!

What colours are you painting your bathrooms? Did you decide to go ahead with the Martha Stewart colours for your living room, dining room, kitchen areas? What about the front hall?

I've not been doing so well with my eating.:( The weekend was awful. And Sunday I baked. Pineapple Upside-Down Cake. Oh my stars it was good.

What movie did you see on your date?:)

I am using "georgica beach" (mossy, beige color) in my dining room and living room and westport tan (mossy tan) for the main hall. I am using only one color for the kitchen/living/dining area because I think that you are right, it would definately be way too much. We painted the main bath a lemon lime (it is SOSOSOSO cool! I love the color) and bought a new shower curtain that is an ocean blue with frogs and lily pads on it with matching frog soap dispenser and trash can - it is now my favorite room of the house! Everytime DH, kids or I walk past we walk in just to look at it. Kinda goofy, I know but we love it :+. Our bathroom is a smoky blue. It is such an awesome and calming color! I can't wait to use my garden tub! the boys' room is going to be blue, of course, and Mariah's room will be a soft lilac when - I mean if - she ever cleans her room. She is a Linus from Peanuts, I swear it.

How are things with SO going? I am really sorry about your ex. I wish there was some law that allowed us to physically hurt people who drag the process out like that. I know it must be torture for you and I am really sorry that it is happening to you. Is he a good dad, at least? What else is going on in your life?

We saw Just Like Heaven. I read the book three years ago by Marc Levy, only it was called If Only It Were True. There were only a few minor differences, but overall I was really happy with the conversion to onscreen, especially since Reese Witherspoon was in it - I LOVE HER (and pretty much everything she is in)!!! Dan and I laughed so hard! I almost peed my pants once and Dan had a hard time catching his breath a few times. I really recommend it. :7

Mmmmmm, pineapple upside down sounds so good! I am going to bake 2 loafs of zuccini bread this week. I am starting next week and am pmsing bad, so I figure this is better than putting a gun to DH head and making him make snickerdoodles. }( Maybe putting a gun to his head would be more fun.....:+

Your colours sound beautiful. Bathrooms are awesome because they're small and you can play more in them than you would a larger room.

Things are great with my SO. My ex is just reinforcing all those reasons that I left him:) He's a good Dad and loves his little girl to pieces, so I cut him a tiny bit of slack for that. The rest of my life is pretty boring, just the way I like it:)

I can't remember the last time I went to the movies. Or rented a movie. Maybe SO and I should do that this weekend.:)

Oooooooooooh, I LOVE zucchini bread! And what the heck are snickerdoodles?

Missy,

I have been doing alot of painting too. I am a really messy painter. It is ridiculous with how much paint ends up on me. Your colors sound nice. I have got to repaint the ceiling. Hubby painted it in the dark! LOL! Kind of patchy. I don't even want to talk about my DD room. She just grabbed her posters off her wall one day and took the paint with it in spots.

Well lately I have been on a pringles high. Just nibbling on a chip here and there. DD comes home, and is like..."what happen to my chips" ? Well I can't eat alot at once because they will give me a belly ache, but I do find them tasty to eat them here and there and by the end of the day I might have ate about 8. So far I have had:

Oatmeal
Yogurt w/pecans
2 6oz steaks, sweet potatoe and slice of watermelon
pbj sandwich
protein shake

Oh, I almost forgot....3 pringles.
Charlotte~~

They are sugar cookies with a hint of tartar rolled in cinnamon and sugar. they are every dentists nightmare and guarantee a diabetic coma. They are delicious!

What is the last thing that you saw? There haven't been many good movies out lately. Other than Star Wars and Cinderella Man, we haven't been impressed with anything that has been out this summer. I can't wait for the Johnny Cash movie to come out in November. DH loves Johnny Cash and I love Joaquin Phoenix so we will both be happy!

Missy

The last grown up movie we saw? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... the last thing we saw was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but we wouldn't have gone to that without Sophie. I can't honestly remember the last movie we went to just the two of us.

Charlotte, don't you just love how everthing looks so clean and fresh after you paint!! What is it with daughters??? I thought that boys were the ones who were supposed to be sloppy and careless...:+

Missy

You guys gotta go out for a date! you deserve one and your need it! I think that is the only reason why we haven't killed each other yet. Even after eight years of marriage, we still go out on dates and throw popcorn on each other. :p we are going out this weekend too and I think that we will either go bowling or putt putting. I hate putt putt, but we have to do something that he is better than me at so he feels strong and manly! ;)

Missy

Oh, we go on dates, but not usually to movies. We mostly go out for dinner:) We haven't in a long while though. Things have been weird but I'm hopeful they are getting back to normal. Whatever normal is.:p

Howdy,

I've been good except one day over the weekend that DH took me out to dinner. I really haven't felt very hungary in the last couple of days with this cold. Yesterday I had oatmeal with apple and walnuts for breakfast and a plain burger at about 4:00 in the afternoon. At about 9:00pm I ate a piece of string cheese.

This morning I had oatmeal again, and for lunch I had a bowl of vegetable soup and half of a boiled ham sandwich. I'm going to make minestrone for dinner. I had 2 little squares of dark chocolate today as well. I've been drinking buckets of water and hot tea with lemon and honey.

I would love a big piece of Shelley's pineapple upside down cake, and a snickerdoodle would be great too.:)

Shelley, you and your SO must go out on a date. Most of the movies suck right now (but I would like to see the one Missy went to), so if you can't find a movie go do something else--I insist on it. ;)

The last movie DH and I went to a couple of weeks ago was something that depressed me and I can't remember what it was. I must have repressed the memory because it was so awful. LOL! I'm looking forward to Mansfield Park. It's supposed to be released sometime this fall and I just love all that Jane Austen stuff. Part of the movie was filmed on location at Burghley House in Stamford, England, and DH and I had a chance to tour it on vacation last fall. It's an amazing place. It was built in the mid 1500's by William Cecil Lord Burghley who served as Lord Treasurer under Elizabeth I.

Missy and Charlotte-- your paint jobs sound pretty. I hope you can get some pictures up soon.

Michele
