Good morning,

Colder and colder.....I guess we can't stop winter from coming. Let's hope this one is milder than last year. This month last year ( nicknamed "Snowvember" around by the media here) we had 7 feet of snow dumped on us...in a couple of days. People are still doing roof repairs.

Valerie, there must have been a "jinx" in the air when you mentioned printers not working etc. I spent 3 hours on Friday fooling around with my printer, that for some reason, was in an "error status" that I could not fix, and then it went offline ( it's a wireless printer)....drove me crazy. I ended up calling the HP support line, which is free since its still under warranty. They accessed my PC remotely and fixed it. Had to re-install all the software etc. I don't think I would get another wireless printer...they are very touchy.

Judy, I am sure you made good use of that rest time...even with the active rest weeks, you are always good about doing some type of exercise. :). RWHIIT is a good in between series. I like the rotations that Cathe made for it. I am in a slump right now...all these DVD's and I don't feel like doing any of them....

Lynda, I am almost done with season 1 of Fargo....wow..., you mentioned it was pretty violent...yep,,,that's for sure, I am not sure if Season 2 is available at the library, will need to check.

Hi to Josie, and Lori,

Hope everyone is having a good weekend,

Take care,

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday was a rest day. I spent some time previewing Body Beast. I can't really give a review without actually doing some of the workouts but to be honest, I was a little disappointed. I thought the instructor, Sagi, was a little irritating. I guess I am just used to Cathe's pleasant & encouraging personality and I don't like instructors that yell and act like drill sergeants. I thought Sagi was too loud and in your face and I expected him to start cursing at any moment. If all the Beach Body workouts are like this, I think I will stick with Cathe, KCM & Suzanne Bowen. I will try the workouts and maybe that will change my opinion.

Deb-I get in workout slumps too. Sometimes taking a break for a few days helps.
We have a wireless HP printer too and they are touchy. We have to reinstall drivers and software often.

Hi to Valerie, Lynda, Josie & Lori,

I'll check in again later.

Judy

I've had good luck with HP. at the time we wanted to print pictures but never worked well, so I moved it to my office and have used it ever since. the ink cartridges are expensive. I found a source for refilled ones that seem to work. tried the Costco service and those didn't work at all. not sure what manufacturers do to block refilled ones. DH's printer is wireless and it's been good, although just now it wouldn't print the workout sheets, so you never know when there will be a glitch.

I agree Judy ... approach of the instructor has a lot to do with how I respond. I don't like to be shouted at, scolded, ridiculed. when I was looking at things for cousin, I thought KCM was appealing. If I need a change from cathe, I'd look at her. I have too many DVD's as it is.

I did Pedal Power yesterday, a 40 min premix and then core 2. a good workout. I have trouble getting thru a full hour of spin. mostly posture related . core 2 (from x train) was harder for me than core 1. about 2 million crunches. I skipped a couple moves but am not sore today so will shoot for it all next time. full sit ups are easier than endless crunches. Deb when I can't get motivated I do a core and/or a weight workout, especially bi's/tris. easier for me than cardio and I get something useful accomplished without much sweat.

Deb, we thought Fargo season 2 was available so re-watched season 1 thinking they'd be linked. when we clicked on season 2 it was NOT available although it was listed to look like it was. season 1 was violent. still enjoyed it.

Hi everyone--

This morning I did Drill Max (63:00).

Deb, the hotel was in a town about 50 miles west of Mpls called Cokato. Mostly farming community at the time, but now I suspect it's more a bedroom community for commuters to the Twin Cities. The hotel was torn down a long time ago. I doubt season 2, which just started a month ago, would already be out on DVD. You can buy episodes as the come out on Amazon, though. It is IMO as good as season 1, which is a blessing, given what happened to season 2 of True Detective (what a friggin' mess that was!). See if your library has A Place to Call Home. Kind of soapy, but I have been enjoying it.

A chill in the air today, but it's supposed to get into the mid-50s later in the week.

Judy, congrats are definitely in order for finishing STS. Sounds like you made good use of the rest periods in meso 3. I think the only Beach Body workout series I owned was Brazil Butt Lift. I enjoyed Alejandro and the series as a whole for about 6 mos, and then I sold it. Those Brazilian women all looked intimidatingly like Gisele Bundchen--long, lean, and chiseled. I wouldn't want to be yelled at either. That's why I never was even tempted by Jillian Michaels. Tanya on P 57 also drove me a bit crazy. She doesn't yell, but her commentary is irritating.

Valerie, it sounds like your sister does have some companionship from her pets, which is so important. Isolation is really terrible as people get older. I can't remember if I did core 2 that much.

Farmer's Market dinner tonight. DH is bringing his ever-popular and famous sausages--hot, sweet, and bratwurst. No cooking for me, tra la!

Hi to Lori and Josie!

Have extra time today.
I thought I'd done a different "Core 2" workout from X-train. Only way to check would be to load, disk by disk, and compare. I was surprised and realized I'd never seen it before. I've done core 1 many times, it's gotten fairly easy so time to change it up. maybe there are more than 2 core workouts in x-train.

Lynda, she gets long well with cats and dogs, just not successful with people. she does fine for a while , then oversteps and drives people crazy. not new behavior. I can limit contact so can be more tolerant. even our mother complains about her talking endlessly about nothing. her son ended contact with her a year or two ago, and her daughter lives out of state and also keeps contact to a minimum. if she had a computer she could contact them via fb. I don't want to buy her a system and then try to teach her how to use it over the phone. plus pay for her internet access. Not going to happen.
Enjoy dinner out . I did not get Gisele Bundchen genes either.

'Morning all,

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I did KCM's Body Shop and Lots of HouseMax for me yesterday, land John spent a lot of time raking leaves. We have a large maple tree in the yard and it is now starting to shed it's leaves. The whole yard was covered.

Judy, I saw the clips of Body Beast, and I feel the same, not need for all that yelling etc, but I think I could get over that if the workouts were good. Tony Horton is a little annoying in the P90 workouts, but eventually I tuned him out and just followed the routine.

Valerie, funny you mentioned the ink cartridges and how expensive they are....we reversed our research this time when we bought this printer...first we looked at the type of printer, then looked at the cost of the cartridges. These are the least expensive ones we have ever purchased, and they are the actual real HP cartridges, available at Best Buy where we bought the printer. I used to get so angry when a printer was $100 and the cartridge refills were $65! So Fargo season 2 isn't available on Netflix either? Mmmm...I guess I have a long wait for the library to get the DVD's...lol...You can see the list of workouts in Xtrain here right? Or maybe on the spreadsheet I sent you it may show the different ones that are mixed in with the other workouts? Your sister should look into going to the local library...a nice outing and all the books are free, and the big plus is no storage afterwards. :)

Lynda, I requested A Place to Call Home from the library...the first 2 disks of season 1 should be there in a day or so. Agree...couldn't stand listening to Jillian Michaels either....I got one of her workouts, and sold it on Ebay after doing it once.

Hi to Lori & Josie,

Woke up kind of dizzy today, maybe sinus...not sure if I want to go to the track, plus it's only in the 30's right now...we had some frost overnight.

Take care,

Deb, when we bought this printer, cartridges weren't costly, in a double pack at Costco. Costco stopped carrying it years ago. Around the same time I bought a plain copy machine. the same thing happened. after a few years, the cartridges skyrocketed in price. the copier was $100, replacement "cartridge" went up to more than $100. Yeah, right! I could buy a whole new copier for less than a replacement cartridge?
I tried a couple of refill services. the current one works pricing is OK.
sister can only walk to places now, library is too far. not being able to drive is a real killer. she gets someone to take her to a book sale every year, and she can get lots of books for a $1 or less.

I'm pretty sure the workout was core 2. You'd have to play it to see if there's more than one version. I ended up taking the day off yesterday. later today I'll stick in a couple disks and compare. Maybe I'm mixing up a core workout from another series, as I've done Flex train and Cardiosupersets recently, along with X-train workouts.
We were initially ticked off about Fargo, as we watched it again to make a transition to season 2 after it showed up on Hulu. when we clicked on season 2, it was just a teaser, not the program. after seeing it twice, and the high death toll, I think we'll be Okay when season 2 finally shows up.
I used to get a cable channel FitTV? I got to see several WAY too annoying people I KNOW I couldn't work out with! That was where I saw Cathe for the first time. Wow , this is a long time ago. the channel disappeared.

did yard work yesterday. it's been mild and the garlic is growing strongly. we plant it in late fall to harvest in july. I had to flame a bunch of weeds. we get winter weeds, just like summer weeds and they grow all year. some weeds grow all year round. picked a bunch of kale, I planted it in September and it also will grow all winter. I've never had either freeze out. lettuce doesn't in winter here.

Planned on mt biking today at the tree farm but so far it's wet and raining.

Hi everyone--

This morning I did Jazzercise dance hiit (48:00).

I will be going to the dentist this afternoon. Not sure--but it feels like I may need a root canal. Ugh!

I read that the presale for ICE ends on November 30, which probably means we won't be getting this series until December. Just in time for the new year and any resolutions I guess.

Deb, it was pretty frosty here as well this morning, but now it has sunned up and feels great.

Dinner was poorly attended last night--probably because the hall in the Congregational Church wouldn't permit any beer or wine. All of DH's sausages disappeared. There were tons of desserts, but no salads, so it wasn't much of a meal for me, because I really stay away from dessert, especially at potlucks. I look around at the many overweight people and this intensifies my resolve. The people I enjoy talking to were absent too, so I was happy to leave early. One woman asked me why I was never there at the farmer's market, and I told her I cleaned house in the morning and went to Jacob's Pillow in the afternoons. So she says, "That must be really boring." I just told her I enjoy dance and walked away. Sometimes I really wonder why someone you have just met wants to start off by being insulting.

Valerie, your sister sounds like she must be lonely if she wants to talk people's ears off. Very sad that her own children are estranged.

Well, off to the dentist to see what's going on.

Good morning & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday I did a Cardio Coach workout on the treadmill...it's been a long time since I have done one of those. It did get into the 50's here yesterday, and sunny. I really nice fall day.

Valerie, can you watch Fargo on regular TV? I know it's on a cable station, but I don't think it's one of those premium ones that you have to pay extra for. I remember hearing about Fit TV but I never saw it....I think it was hit or miss around the cable company here....people wanted it but they never offered it.

Lynda, I hope your appointment went well and it was not a root canal. :( I guess waiting 6 months for a Cathe series is normal, we shouldn't expect anything shorter...although it would be nice. She had said "late fall". I would be happy if it does get here before January 1. That person that made that comment to you was pretty rude.

Hit to Josie, Judy & Lori,

A vet appointment for Kylee this morning, My favorite vet is selling his current practice and is now at another location, farther away and not a drive I would like in the winter....we'll see. She is still doing the licking, but not as much as before...I just want to make sure it's nothing serious.

Take care,

Deb, we watched Fargo streaming on Hulu. the set up looked like 2 seasons were available, but only the first. we saw Fargo first season before, think probably Netflix disk rental. I liked the movie too.

FitTV ...years ago on cable. It was the first place I saw Cathe. there was a weight lifting program with 2 men and 2 women, Rick and Kevin. I don't remember the womens names. The "Israeli stud muffin" Gilad was another. I didn't like his program. One with a blond lady who used to jump around like crazy. a Yoga program. I think the fitness programs were interspersed with other material, maybe cooking shows. they used to switch the times around a lot. One day, no warning, Fit TVprogramming was gone. I used to watch music channels too, but those disappeared too.
I need to watch something while I work , so I looked up Cathe and bought some disks. think I saw her on someone's talk show too, back when talk shows were plentiful. Programs got repeated a lot, so she might have been 4-6 times in a day, the same workout. times were not reliable, so you could tune in expecting Cathe and get Gilad. Much better to have the disk and play when you want.
Former programs[edit]
  • Total Body Sculpt with Gilad
  • Shimmy
  • Gilad's Bodies in Motion
  • Namaste Yoga
  • Power Hour
  • In Shape with Sharon Mann
  • Cathe Friedrich
  • All Star Workouts
  • Marilu Henner's Shape Up Your Life
  • Art of the Athlete
  • Blaine's Low Carb Kitchen
  • FitNation
  • Housecalls
  • Ultimate Goals
  • Diet Doctor
  • The Gym
  • No Opportunity Wasted
  • Reunion Story
  • Lyon in the Kitchen
  • Get Fresh with Sara Snow

Hope Kylee is OK and doesn't need anything further.

I did Flex Train again yesterday, after some yard work. I increased my weights to what I was using a year ago. a little shaky on a few moves but not bad. I'm really fine with the new series a ways off. after my long layoff, existing disks feel new to me. forgot to compare the Core 2 workouts.

Lynda, my sister has always driven people crazy. once she gets comfortable, she will blurt out things that are none of her business and alienate everyone in earshot. She is divorced. She means well but doesn't have a strong enough internal filter. says things that insult people or are abrasive and before she knows it, people want nothing to do with her. Her life is so small now that everything she talks about is boring.

ETA this was the program lineup at one time. you can look up the history on Wikipedia

Hi everyone--

This morning I did RWH ba, rear delts, bis (52:26).

The dentist suspects a cracked tooth, but before he puts a crown on it, he is sending me off to an endodontist to check on whether I need a root canal. So I won't get a firm diagnosis until my appointment next week. It doesn't really hurt. It is just tender/sore when I try to chew--so I chew on the other side.

This season of Fargo is on FX. Last night's episode was terrific, but I want to watch it again without all the commercials. FX is really bad on commercial overload.

I finished the Bate biography of Ted Hughes. Despite its length, it's so imbalanced because his widow has no part in it. She refused to let Bate quote from Hughes's papers and withdrew her approval of the project, so he had to paraphrase, and, of course, writes nothing about the 28 year marriage or her knowledge of, reaction to Hughes's multiple affairs. Bate also says at one point that his many infidelities were his way of being faithful to Plath. Sheesh--the excuses men make for each other. I practically threw the book up in the air when I read that. I am also reading a very good Elizabeth George mystery--A Banquet of Consequences. If you know about Lynley and Havers and Nkata, they are all at their best again in this one.

DH received a birthday card saying, "Either you love bacon or you're wrong." Barbara Havers wears a t-shirt that reads "on the 8th day, God created bacon." I will have to see if I can find one for DH. By the way, neither his bacon nor his sausages has the nitrites in the smoking process that are supposed to be carcinogenic according to the WHO.

Hi all!

Had an absolutely beautiful weekend. Never worked out but boy did we walk! We took a cab to an from the hotel then hotel to arlington. Other than that we walked and walked! Yesterday I did not workout. Needed to just take it easy. This morning I did her newest Live which was High Energy Kickboxing. I loved the actual workout but this was the first time I noticed the music was not as upbeat as I would have liked. Usually, I do not notice the music as I really focused on the workout. When I do this one again I'll play some music to pump it up a bit.

The service was on Friday and it was so emotional yet beautiful and amazing. Very proud his wish happened. Saturday it rain but this did not stop us from seeing the the memorials that were a must and on our list. Lincoln, Vietnam, WW2 and the Korean. We saw these and also went to the Ford Theater, which I enjoyed very much. I love Lincoln and seeing the memorial and theater was great. At the end of our day we tried to see the Holocaust Museum but ran out of time. There was a large school group ahead of us. I spent the day with the cousin I traveled with and we were all meeting up for dinner so we had to get back to get ready for dinner. We have decided the 2 of us will go back in the Spring to see what we could not get to. Really want to see Mount Vernon and Monticello.

Judy...congrats on STS! Great accomplishment! I remember those rest periods being soooooo long! I thing Meso 3 was my favorite of the 3. I have never done Body Beast but most seem to love it. It never interested me. I think I mentioned my brother gave it to me. Still sitting on the shelf where I put it a year ago!

Deb...we have a HP wireless and so far so good. We bought it so we can print from our Ipads and Iphones. So far no issues and we have had it for a few years now. So sorry that your Vet is selling the practice. I would hate ro have to look for a new one. Read that you were dizzy a few nights back. All good now?

Lynda...hope your tooth does not need a root canal. Have you had one yet? Sad to say I have had more than my fair share and of my teeth are crowns. You would never know it though. My dentist is expensive but my teeth look great. I am very happy with all the work I have had done the past few years. Wow I will not be reading that biography! Thanks for the review.

Valerie....that is so sad about your sister. :(. Fit TV must have been a huge hit. I have heard of people talking about it. We are behind on yard work. Going to try and take care of the rest this weekend. I hate yard work!

Did not workout at lunch so I may workout tonight when I get home. Thinking Barre is in order!

Hi to Josie!!!

Good morning,

The dogs got me up at 4:25....I was sleeping so nicely too. The nice thing about retirement is that when this happens, a nap can be fit into the day easily. :).

Valerie, good job on Flex Train. I need to dig this one out again. I remember some of those Fit TV programs....it was a nice channel, too bad it didn't last long. Kylee is doing well, no physical issues and I guess we just keep doing what we are doing and see if she stops the licking etc.

Lynda, I don't get the concept of " his many infidelities were his way of being faithful to Plath."....huh? I think that t-shirt would be a great gift for your DH. :p. Hope you do not need a root canal.

Lori, glad the trip went well. I think the Ford museum is my favorite of all the things I have seen in DC. Also the Holocaust museum is a must see....everyone should see that at least once. You're right, the wireless is great for printing with other devices, forgot about that so I guess I would get another if I had to replace this printer....

Hi to Judy & Josie,

Agility class tonight, that's it for me....

Take care,

Well, I start the day being "wrong".... I don't like bacon! someone else can have my share. Lynda, Happy birthday to your DH. my DH celebrates his birthday this Friday. He likes bacon but doesn't get it often. Hope your tooth issue can be resolved without a root canal.
Too funny, bunch of desserts and no salads? my main issue is that for get togethers like that all the salads will be mayonnaise based. I hate mayo. I never go expecting to eat much.

I had no idea you could print from an ipad or phone. No wonder tablets are so popular. I'm not even sure if DH's printer is wireless as it's next to his desktop in the same place as the wired printers were.

I didn't want to print that entire list from fitTV but it wouldn't edit down. I watched from the treadmill /elliptical. One of the celebrity chef's went to jail for killing his wife, don't remember which one. Calorie commando? He was on fitTV that's where I found Cathe. the jumping blond lady was Sharon Mann. I doubt fitTv was that popular. it disappeared abruptly, not replaced with anything similar.... at least that our local cable carried.

If I ever am in D.C I will make a point of visiting some of those places. I went with friends when I was in college and remember only vaguely. I didn't own a camera then. we were all too excited about traveling alone to actually remember most of what we went to see. dumb.

Rode our regular 26 mile road ride yesterday. did not get my clothes right and was too warm. it was 45, gray, breezy, and damp. trial and error. DH gets cold hands and feet. I get cold ears. earbands/hat make my helmet fit funny and makes sunglasses rub behind my ears badly. now trying a non bulky hoody. we can't dress the same and both be comfy.

Off to grocery shop. getting the car's snow tires put on this afternoon.
We bought a one-size-fits-all cover for our camper. need to make adjustments to tie it down better. it's loose and blows up like a parachute...so that's the project for today.

Hi everyone--

This morning I did RK with 1 lb. gloves (55:15).

Deb, Bate's logic on fidelity/ infidelity is that he was faithful to Plath for 7 years, but when he left Plath, it wasn't just for one woman, but for several, and even when he remarried he was never faithful to her. He actually was seeing another woman when he married the second time, and the day after the wedding he went to this other place he had and had sex with the other woman. Yes--the day after the wedding! So, the logic (if you can call it that) is that he was never faithful to any other woman than Plath for any significant period of time. He was having sex with another woman (not the woman he supposedly left Plath for who later killed herself and her child by Hughes) the night Plath killed herself, and he had specifically left his flat in Soho and went to a friend's house to have sex with this other woman without worrying about Plath calling him on the phone. It took a lot of time and calling around the following day to find him and give him the news, "your wife is dead." For several years, he was seeing 3 women, and he referred to them as A, B, and C. Assia, Brenda, and Carol. Which "bed, bride, and breast to fondle" should he choose to wed, he asks himself in his journal. His sister told him he shouldn't marry any of them if that's how he saw the problem. She was right.

Lori, I wouldn't want to go out to a fun dinner if the last place I visited was the Holocaust Museum. You need to go earlier in the day and give yourself some time to think before returning to "life as usual." It sounds like you had a wonderful little trip--so much to see and do in D.C. I won't find out about my tooth until next week. It isn't bothering me so much anymore, but I'm sure the endodontist will test it and see if it needs a root canal.

Valerie, it's not my husband's birthday. I just remembered the card when I read about Havers' T-shirt. It's my birthday on Sunday coming up. DH's customers love his bacon and he is always running out. I have a slice every now and then and I love my BLTs in the summer with good homegrown tomatoes.

Off to get some highlights this afternoon.

Hi to Judy and Josie!

Good evening ladies!

This morning I did RWH legs with the contrast training. Wow I am feeling it tonight. It has been a while since I have done this one. No other workout today and I am actually thankful. :). We have all been so busy at work so we promised each other to start next week. At lunch I went to Yankee Candle because I had a great coupon that was expiring today - Buy 2 get 2 free. Can't beat that! Every year around this time is when I stock up. Does everyone here know of Yankee Candle?

Valerie...I love Bacon!!!! It is so bad for you though. Recently we have made the switch to Turkey Bacon but not sure if we are liking it. School is still out on this one. We have an HP Photosmart and it has been great. Once it is set up to your wifi then you are good to go to print from your Ipad/Iphone. It's an all in one like most printers now a days and is a few years old. I am sure the newer ones are more compact then ours. Great ride yesterday!

Deb...oh how I would love to take a nap in the afternoons! Some day. We loved the Ford Theater and spent quite a bit of time there. Once you go thru the museum you end up in the theater where there is a historian there telling Lincoln stories and answering question. Gave me chills.

Lynda...agree about seeing the Holocaust right before dinner and glad we decided to pass. Next trip we will be sure to visit this one. Unbelievable Bate's logic. Wow is all I can say. Glad to hear you are not in discomfort with your tooth!

Hi to Josie and Judy!

Good morning,

Yesterday I did one of the R/HIIT low impact workouts with the bonus abs.

Valerie, I maybe eat a slice of bacon once or twice a year. I like it, and would definitely eat it more often but try to stay away from it, not because of all the hoopla that is going on now, just for the calorie/fat content. Not easy to tell if your printer is wireless, especially if it is in a contained cabinet etc. It will still have wired, just not one to the PC. The best thing about them is the printing from an iPad etc. Otherwise, they can be a pain and if your internet connection is down, no printing.

Lynda, Happy (early) Birthday! Doing anything special? I love my highlights but they sure do dry out my hair. Does this happen to you?

Lori, good job on that that leg workout...its a tough one. I only do the premix without the blasts. Yes, we have Yankee Candle stores here....they are wonderful and you had such a good deal!

Hi to Josie & Judy,

Car shopping today....John has been thinking about a new one so that is on our "to do" list for the day.

Take care,

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I did STS Total Body and a new yoga dvd, "Jill Miller Yoga Tune-Up, Lower Body Series". Today is a rest day.

We have a high wind warning all today and tonight. Hopefully we won't have any power outages.

Deb-Good luck with your car shopping! That is always fun!

Lori- I like bacon too. I've tried turkey bacon and didn't really like it. I've seen Yankee Candles, but haven't bought one. I usually get the small Glade candles at the grocery store.

Lynda-Happy Birthday, hope you have a great day on Sunday! Does your DH only sell bacon locally? I'd order from you if you sold online.

Valerie-Happy Birthday to your DH! I was amazed at how easy it is to print from my iPhone and iPad! Never any problems like when I print from a Windows PC.

Hi to Josie!

Judy

Hi Ladies,

I can't believe its already Thursday! I ran on Tuesday not workout on Wednesday and today I did bodypump. Karina is sick so no workouts with her this week. The party turned out great, everyone showed up and my dad was very happy. We passed a notebook around and everyone wrote a memory of him or something niece and he was very moved. My nieces daughters are in a folklorico group and they performed for him and the guests. It was beautiful!

Lori, sounds like you had a good time in DC even though it was for a sad occasion.

Valerie, I love bacon but don't eat it very often. My grandkids love it when I make bacon waffles for them.

Garance, happy early birthday! I love BLT's!

Deb, good luck shopping for a car. What are you getting?

Hi to Judy!

Josie

Judy, we also are getting a high wind and rain forecast today. rain the next few days. sounds like snow in the mountains and then rain right after, so flooding is likely. We have a pretty good chance of a power out later today. getting my cooking and baking done this morning. DH wants a pumpkin pie.

got chores / shopping done yesterday, and even got in a mini workout. I don't think I ever did the HIIT workout from the X-train series so did the warm up and most of round one exercises with hand weights, jumped on the treadmill uphill for 10 minutes, then most of a core 1 workout.
I need to look at HIIT closer. for some reason I never used that one ..maybe there's a reason. just too pressed for time yesterday to look.

We have turkey bacon sometimes, DH likes it. it's pretty tough, like jerky. he doesn't like hummus while I do. so for hiking lunches, he gets one, I get the other. he likes "real bacon" sometimes but gets it eating out. I don't eat red meat or sausage. won't waste calories on things I don't care for. we eat out often enough so he's not deprived!
I need to look at the ipad for printing. Can't think of anything on there I'd print, but to test it.

Lynda, happy birthday to you. Going out to dinner to celebrate? DH's is Friday so we will go to early dinner with cousin on sunday, the cousin I am trying to get to exercise. I think I'm wasting my breath. He likes to talk about his intentions but doesn't want to follow thru.

Deb, happy car shopping. what are you looking at? discussion on the radio yesterday about how many new cars are coming without spare tires now, not even the mini spares or the tire inflater stuff. Our truck came with an undersized spare so we replaced it with a full size one. sheesh. I do not understand how that is acceptable. I guess I've had too many flat tires, and never in convenient places.... if there is such a thing.
