today was back up & allie's webvideo shoulder's and lower body. love it. g/kids this weekend, so most likely no workout. i will consider this a rest week i guess, since i only officially worked out twice.
see y'all next week probably

Good morning all,

I took today off, will be meeting my friend for lunch. Hope to drag myself into the basement to do a Cardio Coach treadmill workout.

Garance, slipcovers are hard to make, I had a woman locally who would do them and very reasonable, but she was so busy you could wait 6 months for them to be done. I have 3 sets for my sofa. I really like the KCM workouts, I think it's because of the terrible eating I have been doing. I know what it does to me, however I am having trouble getting back on the plan faithfully. Summer food around here is too tempting!

Valerie, where are you going on your trip?

Cathy, good you got some rain, I wish it would stop around here. Thunder storms for 2 days in a row, yesterday we had flood watches all over here.

Joan, let us know how you are doing.

Hi to the vacationing Josie!

Take care,

Now I'm not sure we're going for 5 days. one place we were going is having a mt bike race this weekend . Luckily I came across a notice so we need to rethink where to go and now the forecast doesn't look bad here for the day. so maybe I can spend hours cooking and loading and organizing and we won't even go until monday. DH acts like it's no big deal getting all this stuff ready and then not going.

Did not get anything yesterday but yoga. she does work us pretty well but I need to do weights today and some cardio.

Talked to my brother this week. he's having health problems related to diabetes. both he and my sister have type 2 and his is not well controlled. he's one of those people who just does what he wants, eats what he likes, and then seems surprised and unhappy with the outcome. I've always had to watch calories/ exercise since I was 10 or 12. so it's part of my day. but it does explain to some degree how hard I have to work and how easily I gain weight and don't lose. there's some metabolic thing at work here. and it's genetic.

Josie, have a good vacation!
Joan, hope your testing is going OK.
Deb, hope you get that workout in. If you keep a couple sessions a week you won't lose ground and it helps balance out restaurant lunches.
Lynda, I put the cave art movie on my netflix queue. not available yet.
Cathy, you want rain, come vacation here. we are so sick of it we'll happily share.

I did end up doing CC #1R, pretty good, and I feel a lot more energetic now. I was going to run the dishwasher, reached under the sink to get the soap, and low and behold, a whole bunch of water down there. Ugh. One of the pipes is disconnected (again), cheap plastic junk that is used now. This has happened before. I tried to put it back but it looks like it may be stripped. DH will just love this when he gets home tonight. It may mean a replacement, not just twist it back on.

Valerie, sorry to hear about your brother, it seems a lot of people I know with diabetes are the same way, almost in denial.

Anyway, going to meet my friend for breakfast, then maybe beat the weekend and get some stuff done around here...who knows? LOL.

Strong work Deb.. sometimes I don't want to work out, but after I do anyway I feel so much better.
I hear you on the DW issues. cheap plastic junk. I will probably be buying a new DW soon , not just a connection. a replacement pump was costly, plus a service call will be half the price of a new unit.

brother possibly in denial??? he is totally and completely immersed in denial. swimming in it. he likes chocolate, cookies, and bakery. fast food. won't eat a vegetable. won't check his blood sugar. he's had a couple serious infections, neuropathy in his feet with a lot of pain. he may have had a heart attack (not verified) and had a spell last week where the entire right side of his body didn't work. he is at high risk for lower extremity amputations among other things. didn't want to take a baby coated aspirin for even a few days. I'm not sure how old he is... 52 ? it is a disaster waiting to happen... he's the main caregiver for our mother. she would not be able to stay in her home without his support. and my sister is even worse than he is! sometimes I want to unplug the phone and forget I have a family.

Hi Deb, Joan, Cathy, and Valerie--

This morning I did Fat Burning Fusion (46 min.).

Good for you, Deb! I agree with Valerie--I always feel better after I work out. I also wish this rainy weather would finally leave. It feels very cool for late June, too--really has been in the 60s struggling to hit 70. DH is convinced global warming is responsible for all of the extremes. I actually am pretty good at making slipcovers if the shape of the furniture is not too difficult. But this loveseat has a curved outside, with little pleats.

Valerie, it sounds like you will have to develop some kind of plan for upcoming potential disasters. I had to move my mom here from Minnesota when it became clear that my older sister just could not let go of old issues with her and be helpful, even though she was a lot closer and had a lot more money. It was actually rather good for my mom because she could go to all of my sons' athletic events--Little League, basketball, soccer. She loved it. Her only grandchildren. Too bad you cannot see Cave of Forgotten Dreams in 3-D as I did--spectacular.

Off to Jacob's Pillow tomorrow for Keigwin and Company. Hope the weather is okay.

Hi to Cathy and Joan!

Off to get ready for agility class, then we go to see the puppies! HouseMax and the usual around here the rest of the weekend. A birthday dinner for my SIL tomorrow nght.

It rained again last night of course, and only 64 degrees....

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Take care,

the cave movie is playing in seattle but it's about a 50 mile drive and then the typical big city aggravations with parking etc. so I'll make do here. 3D would be nice though.

Got ambitious and did 10 bike, 30 treadmill, and the first disk of meso 3. Have not lost any strength & did previous weight. even thought I could have pushed a little higher but I'm nervous about barbell presses past weight I know I can do. will try when DH is here to spot me. it's been weeks since I did heavy weight but I did do high reps and total body a couple times.

My weight is finally down by 2.2 lbs from my previous low. I didn't want to weigh after the disaster month of may but have been watching my food closely and was hoping to stay the same so this was good news.

Deb, it's like 55 or something here. rained several times yesterday but some time when the sun was out too so decent.
