Good morning, getting us started...

our first clear weather morning in ages but that makes it pretty cold. all those low clouds insulate us much of the time and keep temps milder. we're going to give a mt bike a try anyway. if its too cold, we'll bag the idea but its worth a try.

Good afternoon. Today is a rest day for me, so no workout to report. Valerie, thanks for starting the thread today.

Waving a big hello to everyone and hopefully you are having a nice day. Take care.

Hi Everyone,

Thursday I did Cathe Live #19, Total Body Sculpt and Friday I did Pedal Power. Yesterday I did Live #70 Strong Upper Body Express with 30 minutes of Yin Yoga in the evening and today I did Cycle Sweat Extreme Premix.

Carolyn-Nice job with Stacked Sets Lower Body. I hope you enjoy your rest day! I think I will take on later this week.

Cathy-Great workouts! I'm glad that I gave up my Fitbit when I did. It sounds like they aren't getting any better. I'm happy using the Apple Watch for most everything. Garmin is another option I will look if I want another watch tracking workouts. The Atria watch sounds nice.

Diane Sue-Great workouts yesterday! I bet you were sore after doing all that and then working outside.

Valerie-Nice job with the Perfect 30 Hiit workout! I hope you have a good ride if you get out today.

Hi to Deb & Lori!

I did Pyramid Pump Upper Body today and tacked on LITE extended stretch. I did all the same weights as Cathe, but it got really iffy with triceps and biceps. I stuck it out though.

Valerie I hope you were able to get your ride in today.

Judy great job on the workouts!

I'm back.... we got in the ride. 1 hr 40 min. had to twist DH's arm on this one since it was 35-37 to start, but once we got there and moving, it was fine. too many people but all walking or running. no other bikes. biking gets less popular as it cools due to wind chill. you need to dress right for both strenuous uphill followed by long cold downhill over and over. the wind chill can be seriously unpleasant.
I need to hit costco this afternoon but will wait until later. at this store, crowds drop off after 2:30. I'd rather avoid the jam up. by going in mid afternoon window, I usually do.
wow... we are all doing really well with some good workouts.

Hi all,

Everyone is doing great with workouts! Yesterday I did Perfect Pump Total Body Express, 34 minutes, 179 calories. I like this one for a quick total body workout, but it is a little strange. The warm up is the one for upper body, no so lower body warm up exercises. It's like its a shorter version of the upper body workout, with a few lower body exercises tacked on at the end.

Not too much going on here. We (western NY) are teetering on a possible complete shut down (like in March) if our numbers don't improve. It is causing a lot of stress everywhere you go and with anyone you talk to.

I hope everyone is doing well. Stay safe.

Good morning. Today I did Perfect HiiT Low Impact, Pyramid HiiT Bonus, and the Extended Stretch. That was 48 minutes and 277 calories burned. My average heart rate was 123 and maximum heart rate was 150. This was my first time doing the Pyramid Bonus, but I really liked it.

Judy, great job with Live Total Body Sculpt, Pedal Power, Live Strong Upper Body Express, Yin Yoga, and Cycle Sweat Extreme.

Cathy, nice job with Pyramid Pump Upper Body and LiTE Extended Stretch. I like that stretch since it’s a little longer than the P30 Extended Stretch. The new smart watch that you ordered looks good. I hope it works better for you.

Deb, great job with Perfect Pump Total Body Express. I’m sorry to hear that your area may be headed for another shutdown. This year has been so hard on everyone.

Valerie, it’s great that you were able to ride yesterday. That was a cold start!

Hello to Diane Sue and Lori.

Carolyn, DH thought it was too cold. it turned out it wasn't. we never felt cold except very briefly, the first 5 minutes. ride starts with a half mile gradual uphill, so you warm up very quickly. the flat spot we stop at is in the sun. we do a clothing adjust there if needed, then continue. this route has a couple big hills, the biggest one close to the end. the impulse would be bundle up in a puffy jacket but you will be sweating at the half mile mark, and sweating leads to getting chilled. our speed goes from 2 mph uphill to 15 to 20 mph down. the goal is clothing you are warm in, but not sweating. you adjust temp by unzipping or hoodie up /down, taking off gloves, taking off shell jacket. DH takes down his hood, I unzip a shirt layer. If my ears are cold, I'm cold. I keep hoodie up most of the time. I wear light gloves the whole time, he wears heavy ones and takes them off. the goal is the same.... be comfortable.

I will look at the pyramid bonus, haven't looked at that yet. I like pyramid pump that Cathy just did, so I will probably like it. I didnt look at the PP total body express yet either. so many choices cathe gives us!

Deb I hope you don't go to a total shut down again but thanksgiving in general will ( I'm afraid) turn into a superspreader event. Im sure we will all be spending Xmas/NYE alone. and then we have to consider all the reality deniers who act like Covid is imaginary. How likely will those people agree to vaccinate when its available? this is my opinion but I don't think a vaccine will be as beneficial as experts think, thanks to noncompliance.
Judy how long is cycle sweat extreme? I've never done an indoor cycle longer than 50 min. I cant imagine much longer.

This morning I did Live High Energy Kickboxing. Loved this one and it is very aptly named. Fast paced and great music. 48 minutes. Then I did the Fit Split bonus abs. I'd never done that one and it was tough.

Valerie glad you got your ride in. I agree about the vaccine. I'm afraid that a good portion of people who do get it will decide that they have no reason to continue other protective measures and none of the vaccines are 100%. Until it's truly under control vaccines along won't suffice. Had a talk with Derek last night about the fact that he would NOT be meeting a college friend and traveling with her to the Detroit Zoo over break. The zoo itself is likely low risk given the setting and the temps keeping most people away, and masks are required, but riding for an hour and a half twice in a car with someone you don't live with is a deal breaker. He understands, but he isn't happy about it.

Deb we are back in shutdown here, though not quite as restrictive as March. K-8 kids can still be in school if they choose, while HS and college had to move online. It's going to get a lot worse because of the holidays.

Carolyn I keep forgetting about that Pyramid Bonus. Really need to tack it on to something.

Really... look at this situation and ask yourself, "what could possibly go wrong??" :oops:o_O we in WA aren't locked as tightly as spring, but our numbers are going up quickly and I expect we will be if its even possible anymore. thanksgiving was a good example of too many people too tired of restrictions to comply anymore. christmas will likely be worse. my opinion again.
we have someone lined up to do our outdoor wall project. its a big deal and expensive. way too much for DH and myself to do. this needs machines and expertise and a crew. we did retaining walls for our vegie garden but these are walls to replace older walls put in 30+ years ago. probably wont do it until Feb or later depending on weather and how wet things get.

no workout today. going hiking or skiing tomorrow.

This morning I did X Train Chest, Back, and Shoulders for 54 minutes and 244 calories burned. My average heart rate was 123 and maximum heart rate was 149.

Cathy, Live High Energy Kickboxing sounds like a fun workout. Nice job with that and Fit Split Abs. The Pyramid HiiT Bonus was just right for adding to Low Impact HiiT. I previewed it beforehand to see if I wanted to do that.

Hello to Valerie, Diane Sue, Deb, Judy, and Lori. Have a wonderful day everyone.

skied this morning, 2 hours. first ski of the year. snow was Ok,.... not great but it was beautiful out. blue sky clear. will get sunny and warmer today so snow will not hold up. we get freeze/ thaw conditions that makes snow crusty and nasty. xc skiing is a lot of work and it takes some acclimating to a new mode of exercise so we don't overdo the first couple times. you find all kinds of new muscles you forgot you had.

This morning I did Live Cardio Muscle Confusion. I’ve done that one before and it’s quite good. Definitely hits all areas.

Valerie while I’m glad you were able to go skiing, I’m not sad we haven’t had any noticeable snow yet. It’s very pretty for sure, but I need it to fall on days when I don’t have to go anywhere and the boys have appointments this month, as we have to squeeze everything in on breaks. The temps though have definitely dropped, so winter coats are now back.

Carolyn great job on the Xtrain Chest, Back and Shoulders!

I guess I forgot to post yesterday. Getting back into the virtual school again. Yesterday I did Coffey FIt Raw Heavy Bag and Legs which was boxing moves alternated with 3 sets of each lower body move done 12 reps. IT was a fun workout, 49 minutes, heart rate 113/166, 184 calories,, 2,276 steps, followed by Raw Cardio FInisher 13 minutes, heart rate 132/163, 74 calories, 1,330 steps. I ended with Step Boss extended lying stretch. Total time 72 minutes, 258 calories, 3,606 steps.
Today I started with Body Max 2 cardio premix and did 24 minutes before I stopped for zoom class, 98 calories, heart rate 102/131, 2335 steps. My Fitbit was doing lousy till near the end I moved it around. We did zoom and some school work and I hauled in Groceries from Whole Foods and I went back and did 4 Day Split Higher Intensity cardio only 33 minutes, 116/150 heart rate, 142 calories, 2,854 steps. I finished with Coffey Fit Raw Abs Finisher, 19 minutes, 43 calories, heart rate 102/134, 351 steps using 8# dumbbell.
Total time was 76 minutes, 283 calories, 5,540 steps Total.
Sunday was a rest day. I changed my arthritis appointment that I have for tomorrow to the end of the month when the grandchildren are out of school. I do still need to get the mammogram set up though. It is close to my house though and would not mean being gone very long.

Carolyn, I forgot about the Pyramid Hiit from Perfect 30. That would be a good one for me with all of these time constraints. Nice work with X Train Chest back and shoulders.

Judy, nice work on all of those workouts the last few days. I was sore after Saturday and sort of apprehensive about the boxing heavy bag yesterday, but it did not affect my shoulders too much. I was hurting along the front of my shoulders.

Cathy, nice work sticking with it on the weights with Pyramid Pump Upper Body. I have done Muscle Confusion, but I do not remember it all that much. I don't think I wrote that one down. The ones that I like a lot I put in the favorites.

Deb, nice work on Perfect Pump mix. Interesting how it is set up.

Valerie, nice that you got in a ride and some skiing. Yes, some projects are near impossible to do on our own as we wouldn't have all of the equipment and probably manpower to do it.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I did Susan Chung-Rapidfire 3 and today I did Live Burn Sets Back, Chest & Shoulders.

Deb-I'm sorry things are getting bad there again. We are in a similar situation. I think we may have more things shut down here next week.

Valerie-Nice job with the skiing and riding. Cycle Sweat Extreme is 74 minutes. It was challenging and I was ready to be done. I probably wouldn't do the extreme cycle premixes too often. I agree about the holidays being super spreader events. I can't believe how many out of state license plates I saw last week. Lots of people were travelling.

Carolyn-Great job with X Train Chest, Back, and Shoulders. I really like the Pyramid bonus too.

Cathy-Great job with Live Cardio Muscle Confusion!

Diane Sue-Great workouts yesterday and today!

Hi to Lori!

Good morning. Today I did WS3 Cardio Step Jam for 32 minutes and 241 calories burned. My average heart rate was 135 and maximum heart rate was 162.

Valerie, that’s great that you were able to get in some XC skiing. That must be an intense workout.

Cathy, great job with Live Cardio Muscle Confusion. We are having some of that cold weather here, which is a bit early for us.

Diane Sue, I‘m glad to see that you posted since we had not heard from you this week. I was getting a little concerned. Great job with your workouts as usual.

Judy, I haven’t done a Susan Chung workout in ages! Nice job with that and Live Burn Sets Chest, Back, and Shoulders.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

I did Step Blast this morning. I was LOL'ing at myself because in the third combo I could not get the fast foot repeater. I've done this workout a number of times over the years, but my brain just went dead! Finally, I had to ignore what Cathe and my brain were saying and let my unconscious brain take over. By the time we did the finished combo I had it. I've had a few times over the years where I've had to just do a move on instinct, but directions and brain were not working together. Was really thrilled when I actually did the third blast with those 6 rounds that include plyo jacks, air jacks and a tuck jump. I've been avoiding the latter two. Finished off with Step Boss Ab Stacker.

Diane Sue glad you posted was hoping everything was okay! Great job on the workouts!

Judy nice job with the workouts!

Carolyn great workouts!

Decided to try a snowshoe this morning. picked an old road we never tried before to see if it would be worth walking. its up a road that gets snowmobiled in winter but we rightly figured there would not be too much snow there yet. had to park about half mile away fromt he road beginning road started out Ok, enough snow for snowshoes but after a while the "clear" road become more and more overgrown. very difficult to walk thru thousands of small alder trees with branches everywhere. they get caught on boots, snowshoes, pack. everything. we went maybe a mile and could see up ahead it wasn't going to improve. so bagged the idea. sometimes "nobody goes there" for good reason. so walked for 93 minutes with a pack and snowshoes, poles. a decent workout but no big scenery reward. cross that one off the list. snow will get deeper and maybe cover the brushy trees, but then we wont be able to drive anywhere near the road beginning.

carolyn xc skiing is a good workout but not usually like the events at the Olympics! you set your own pace and usually keep going for a couple hours. a great calorie burn. snowshoeing was weird on the WW app. I plugged in the time, medium intensity snowshoe. only 8 points. so plugged it into high intensity and it was 24 points. IMO it was somewhere in between but the disparity struck me as wrongly calculated. I could not get a low intensity snowshoe to come up at all.

Hi,

Monday I did Live Low Impact Cardio HIIT, 34 minutes, 248 calories. I was pretty surprised at the calorie count for this one. Yesterday I did Perfect Pump Upper Body, 32 minutes, 186 calories and got in 11, 950 steps. A rest day today.

Carolyn, nice job on Perfect Hiit and the Pyramid bonus, and XTrain, Chest, back, and shoulders. I have not seen that bonus yet. Not sure why it is labeled "Pyramid"?

Valerie, great that you are having someone else do the wall project. It sounds like a really big job. Agree, x-country skiing is one of the hardest to do. Snowshoeing is not much easier!

Cathy, nice job on High Energy Kickboxing., and Cardio Muscle Confusion. You seem to be enjoying the Live workouts. Agree on your thought about your son and the drive with the friend. What level of shutdown are you in? We are going by the color code system now, instead of Phases which we did in the spring/summer. We are in "Orange" status. Right now the only things closed here are restaurants, bars, gyms and any personal care businesses, hair dressers, barbers tatoo parlors etc. If we go to RED, everything will shut down. :( We are limiting our people in dog training classes to, no more than 10 people in the all at one time. We are not required to do this, but the board of directors thought it was a good idea.

Diane Sue, nice job on the KCM boxing, glad it did not affect your shoulders too much. I bet you are looking forward to that school break!

Judy, nice job with Rapid Fire 3 and the Burn Sets workout! I agree, if we don't go before, I think Christmas is going to put us over the limit, and January we will be shut down completely.

Hi to Lori,

Take care
