Traildoggie
Cathlete
Back from a serious hike yesterday. 8 miles, up into loads of snow. saw a mountain goat, close but saw without binoculars. also a junco nest with eggs in it, and several grouse. a really nasty ugly trail that goes to a nice place. I wore new boots and got a bit sore. same model as my old ones, but new is a little stiffer and I have sore feet.
Lynda, top of the lake was ok-good, not a favorite. I likely had subtitles on and didn't notice language issues other than odd expressions. I like Elizabeth moss although she does some dumb things in this sometimes. some things didn't make a lot of sense so I tried not to over-think it. holly hunter was enigmatic and didn't make much sense to me. they do clarify some things toward the end but not to the point of making total sense. west wing I'd like to watch again. Hope max's paw heals up quickly.
Lori hope dh's "paw" heals quickly too. no drivimg for a month is a hard pill to swallow. I also think they give you a "close to max " number of days... so you will be pleasantly surprised to be ready sooner. much harder to tell you 3 weeks, have you not ready, and then be told it's another week or two.
we're giving another go at streaming, bought an ipad, appleTV this morning and will see how it goes. we have 2 weeks to decide. the ipad looks lovely, much easier to handle and use than the laptop. we are thinking of getting a plain TV with a dvd to use in our camper rather than the laptop. it will run off the inverter using very little charge. so we are trying a variety of new things. the camper is in the shop for a week because of a leak around the skylight. re-calking didn't fix it so it needs to get a seal replaced.
I am not getting thread notifications lately for some reason. anyone else having problems?
Josie I will have to practice a LOT before I can ride a 100 mile day. legs and (now) the butt could take it, but my wrists and hands get so numb! still limiting our around 30 miles. if I can cure that, maybe I'd consider.
we are getting our house painted shortly to add to the chaos.
