Happy June!

Just getting us started for the week. A workout planned, not sure which one just yet.

Will be back later to read yesterday's posts.

Good afternoon ladies!

Beautiful day here in New England. This morning I did Cathe's live class from Thursday and it was awesome. It was a cardio and weight circut. I followed it up with the bonus barre from LL&A and LLB.

Since I went into the office yesterday today is house max and going to attempt to use the power washer for our stone patio while DH is mowning the lawn.

Afterwards it's a movie and margarita on the patio. This pretty much sums up my day!

Oh....i will also be preordering Cathe's new DVD's!

Have a great day all!!!

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did RK with 1 lb. gloves (55:16).

I agree with you Lori, this is a beautiful day. I will most likely try to catch up with the weeds in my gardens.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone!

Hi

The day just go away from me..did some yard work, then some shopping/errands, and more stuff around here. I never did get a workout in. My knee has been bothering me and with agility class Friday night and again yesterday, it is really sore. Probably a good thing not to aggravate it.

Lori, your day sounds lovely! we have been having beautiful weather here too. I got my pre-order in...I was on line and realized it was close to 2:00 pm so I just went on right at 2:00...I may have been the first order..which is strange for me. I usually forget and order on the 2nd day after reading the posts about it.

Lynda, do you do any weed preventative things? We don't like to use any of the chemicals because of the dogs, who are known to jus lie in the flower garden right on the mulch. I have done the layers of newspaper thing, but that doesn't do too well.

Josie, I'm sure you are either in the air or at the airport..have a great ride!

Valerie, you are very lucky to be able to do some impact, but smart to limit it like you do. I can't believe that they even vandalize cars on hiking/biking trails! Sheesh!..

Judy, I hope you are seeing the end of the house clean out at your FIL's place... and are able to enjoy some of the weekend.

Have a nice "rest of the day" !

Deb-we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. We think that the house will be empty in 2 more weeks, but the worst of it (basement and garage) is finally done. For DH the worst part is done, because he was having to do most of the physical labor in tearing down and deconstructing the basement. FIL had built numerous makeshift walls, shelves, a desk and a work bench in the basement. Unfortunately they all had water damage and had to be demolished.

Good morning,

Well it's back to reality today...ugh...I hate Mondays. At least it is a short week for me. I am off Friday and Monday, for the upcoming agility trial this weekend.

Lori, I can see that having both the "on Demand" service and the actual DVD's would not make sense..do you get the premixes with the "On Demand" service?

Judy, is the plan to put the house up for sale once you are done?

Hi to Lynda, Valerie, and the Riding Josie!

Work, then late class tonight. Not much new going on here...

Take care,

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did GG, the premix without the ball (55:40). Also took Max for a 3 mile walk last night after dinner.

Beautiful weather here today. Deb, I'm afraid of the chemicals too, so I do a lot of weeding. I have been trying to do about 45 minutes in the late afternoon, when the sun is on the other side of the house. Yes, by all means take care of your knees.

Judy, that sounds like a horrible task. "Deconstruction" has now become part of the general vocabulary? It started with Jacques Derrida, one of the least comprehensible theorists I have ever, ever read.

Wow, Lori, last night's GOT episode was really good. After spending most of my time recently reading history and poetry, I found a great trilogy I bet you would like: Hugh Howey's Wool, Dust, and Shift. If you liked the Hunger Games books, or Justin Cronin's The Passage and The Twelve, you will like this series. Fascinating post-apocalyptic world he has created.

Looking forward to some pics Josie.

Hi to Valerie!

Good evening ladies!

Slept in this morning. Usual sleepless Sunday night. Was going to workout when I got home but DS was visiting so workout can wait.

Judy...you guys have been working so hard with all the cleaning out. I agree it sounds like a horrible task. Once done do you plan on selling? I think Deb mentioned this. I am with you on not keeping the demand service. Still undecided whether I will cancel or not. Eventually everything is going this way anyways. I ordered the downloads because I love using the workout blender. Even if she stops selling dvds hoping she still offers the workout blender.

Lynda...so I go and look those books up and I already have the Wool one that was a free book in October 2012. I have taken a break form the presidents and have been reading the Myrtle Clover mysteries. There are five. They are cute but nothing fantastic. I am on the last book then will read Andrew Jackson. After that I'll start the Wool books. I have been really looking for a great trilogy so thank you for mentioning this. I have not watched GOT but DS said it was great! With only two episodes left I have a feeling how it will end. :)

Deb....vacations always go by so quickly. Really hoping Cathe offers a modifier with this series. If you read all the posts people are really asking for this. Some of her followers (like us) have been with her forever and need it. As much as I love high impact every now and then I need to tone it down a bit.

Valerie....have a great trip!!!

Josie...thinking of you!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

This morning I did STS Squat Rack legs and one of the Core Max workouts.
I did a short run yesterday morning, since it was so nice out! I've decided that my longest run this summer will be 5k. I am almost sure that I won't get injured if I only run 3 miles, up to 3 times a week. We'll see how that goes..

Deb & Lori-yes, they are going to put the house up for sale as soon as it is cleaned out and some repairs are done.

Lynda-I think DH starting using the term deconstruction because FIL had constructed numerous rooms in his basement, using shelving units/walls and they were in such bad shape that they had to be demolished, broken down, and carried upstairs in pieces. It was like a maze, with little paths going in and out of the rooms, and so much junk and expired groceries that he had stored down there. We found cans of food that had expired in the 90's. DH actually had to get a disposable safety suit and shoe covers when he went into a crawl space to pull junk out and we were all wearing gloves, goggles and disposable respirators because of all the mold and dust. I will be very happy when this is over with and I know DH will be even happier.

Hi to Valerie & Josie!

Judy

Good morning,

So tired, I woke up at 2:00 am and could not get back to sleep. It's going to be a long day. We skipped class last night, I had some type of allergic reaction or something yesterday, started sneezing, then itchy eyes, runny nose, I thought I was coming down with a horrific head cold. After dinner, started to read a book, and by 9:00 it was completely gone. Not sure what it was but I hope it doesn't come back.

Lynda, so do you use just mulch to try to keep the weeds down?

Lori, will need to go check out those mysteries that you mentioned. Mystery, & suspense are my favorites. I also would like Cathe to "break down" and put a modifier in her workouts. I think that is one of KCM's selling points. How is the fireplace pit ( is that what they call it?) coming along?

Judy, that sounds like a horrific job, bet you and your DH will be so relieved when it is over. Keeping it to a 5K run is a great plan to prevent injuries.

Josie, not sure if you are checking in here, but did you send pictures to Lynda yesterday?

Not much else going on here...it's raining, but we needed it.

Take care,

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did Jazzercise Hiit (47:00).

Deb, I don't like mulch, so I just keep hammering away at the weeds. I cleaned up a row of peonies yesterday, and will not put down fertilizer until after they have bloomed. Everything is so late this year.

Judy, I agree with Deb--horrific. Your FIL must have become a hoarder. Will you have the whole house fumigated before putting it up for sale? How did you like the STS?

Lori, Wool is hard to put down. Really good, and a compelling heroine.

Josie, if you are sending pics, please make it clear they are from you. IT signaled yesterday that I should preview before opening a file I received, and also said the preview may not show everything--and it did not. It looked like a little film. Was this from you? Not taking any chances.

Good evening ladies,

This morning was ruthless fast slow burn and tonight was cardio leg blast plus took chester for 1.5 mile walk.

Judy...that sounds terrible going thru that. I like STS squat rack a lot. I have been thinking about a STS rotation but starting with Meso 2. I loved STS so do not know why I have not done a second round yet.

Lynda...my friend shares my kindle account and he is also excited about Wool. We decided to start it next. I will wait on Jackson. Still have not seen GOT. Not sure when I will fit it in. Leaving for Florida on Friday and will be home Sunday and I know I will be too tired to watch Sunday's so I will be 2 weeks behind! I have HBO GO so perhaps I can stream one of the episodes.

Deb...stinks with your sleepless night. I know exactly how you feel! I have not started the fire pit yet. I plan to in a couple of weeks. I have my shopping list all ready and know exactly what I need. I am very excited about this project. I would like it all done by July 4th.

Josie...can't wait for pictures. Been thinking of you!

Valerie....hope this trip is going well!

Here are pictures from Josie's ride!

Hi Deb, Josie, Valerie, Lori, and Judy--

This morning I did Burn Sets bis and tris with core 1 (47:40).

Josie, I did, unfortunately, delete your little video before opening it at the advice of IT here at Williams. Your message to me showed up on my IPad this morning, very strange. Not in mail, just the first thing on the screen even before I opened the screen up. If you send it again, I will take a look. I LOVE your purple outfit--Pam's favorite color, and looks great on you. You rock!

Deb, thanks for posting the pics.

We were out of power for about 3 hours last night. A lot of thunder, lightning and about 1 1/2 inches of rain--which we really do need.

Graduation this weekend, so the town will be taken over by parents and relatives and honorees. I am not going to it, though.

Good evening ladies!

This morning was Ruthless wicked lower body and tonight was a workout blender of different sections of flextrain, LLA and gym style. Wrapped it up with LLA bonus barre. Was about 50 minutes start to finish. Great leg workout!

Josie...Great pictures! Loved the purple outfit. Hooe the weather has been kind to you. Looking forward to hearing all about it! Deb thanks for posting

Lynda...we have had some rain but not tons and certainly know thunder storms. Was suppose to rain today but it never did. Felt like it much just never did. Tomorrow will be a different story.

Ho to Judy and Valerie!

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I did a 45 minute Spinerval in the morning and a core workout after work. This morning I did Muscle Max.

Deb-It sounds like you had an allergy attack. The pollen count has been high here and between that and the mold/dust in FIL's house, I've been fighting allergies too. I'm using Nasacort and that has really helped.

Lynda-Sounds like you had a pretty bad storm there. We've been lucky this week, nothing too bad.
FIL was a hoarder and we are realizing that it was worse than we thought. We are going to have to do more work to get the house in saleable condition. The roof and chimney have to be replaced at the minimum. SIL is also hiring professional cleaners to come in after the house is empty.

Lori-I really like STS Squat Rack Legs. Not sure if I want to do an STS rotation yet, but I'm thinking of adding in one or 2 STS workouts every week for now.

Josie-Awesome photos! Hope you are having a great ride!

Hi to Valerie!

Judy

Good morning,

I am off of work after today, can't wait. I have Keegan entered tomorrow and Saturday in our agility trial, wish me luck. He has not been cooperating in class, it is pretty embarrassing.

Lynda, losing power is so rare that when it happens, it feels strange. We lost it about 2 months ago, same thing, about 3 hours. We had no idea why though. I think a transformer blew or something.

Judy, Hope you get your FIL house in order before summer ends so you have some relaxing weekends! Thanks for the tip on the allergy med....it could have been an allergy attack, started in early am, got worse all day, then around 9:00 just completely disappeared. I don't think I am allergic to anything, but you never know. They put one of those car air freshener things in my car when I had the inside done last Saturday, but it didn't bother me all weekend so I didn't think it was that. I tossed it though just in case..

Lori, you do great with the workout blender! It would take me longer to put the workout together, than I would be spending on the workout itself LOL.

Take care,

I will keep posting pics when Josie sends them.
