Pentagenarians & Beyond: W/B 5/7

Hi Everyone,

Wednesday I did STS Meso 2 Legs. Yesterday and today I did indoor rides. I've been struggling with allergies this week. A couple of nights I only got about 4 hours of sleep. Hopefully I can get more rest this weekend.

Deb-that lipstick looks good. I might have to try it. I'm glad Keegan is better.

Diane Sue-Great workouts! Very impressive weights too! The clothing party sounds like fun.

Valerie-I agree, it is sobering to see how many of my classmates from high school have passed away. I keep in touch with a few of my old classmates on Facebook and we have lost several members of my graduating class in the past couple of years.

Hi to Lori, Carolyn & Caitlin!

Judy

Good morning,

No workout yesterday, I plan to start back tomorrow.

Valerie, good info on ticks, thanks for posting.

Diane Sue, did you find a nice shirt? I hope the eye exam went well. How you described the tick you found when you were young is how I imagine them....large and attached to the animal. The one we saw was almost as thin and flat as a pencil line. I am wondering if it was a tick at all.

Carolyn, funny how we are all different....I sold Imax 2 on Ebay, and did not get any of the others. Just not for me. I am not good at Cathe's step workouts.

Judy, hope your allergies are better now...and you get more sleep!

Agility class this morning with Kylee....then we have a play to go to tonight.

Take care,

Good morning ladies...

Yesterday ended up being a rest day. Needed to leave earlier than I anticipated for work and then as soon as I came home we loaded up the car to head to Connecticut for Nicholas' graduation today. Was a fun night and we brought Nilla and GiGi. Nilla will not leave my side and GiGi is a nut and extremely excited to be around new people. It will be a very interesting couple of days. Won't be able to workout today either. Been a while since I did not workout 2 consecutive days.

We are staying at my exhusbands home and he has 2 dogs. He was telling me they just sprayed there yard for ticks and have had great success. He buys from home depot and he attaches to his hose. He gave me the brand name but for the life of me I can't remember. Will need to ask again.

Deb...rock chewing is terrible. I have heard of dogs swallowing a rock then end up having it surgically removed due to a blockage. I love Imax 2. It is my favorite of the 3! Yes we are all different! Glad Keegan is feeling better.

Judy and Diane Sue...I really feel for you with your allergies. You both still get in some great workouts. Amazing you do not let the allergies get the best of you.

Diane Sue...agree the arms portion is more shoulders. I do love those pullups though and hoping cathe has them thru out her new workouts. How did you like using the fit tower for it. Does it line up nicely with your rebounder? Mine worked great.

Valerie...when I used to ride outside long distance my hands would get numb. Was so very fustrating. Great mountain bike ride. You must really burn some calories.

Carolyn...May's rotation looks really great.

Hi to Caitlyn!

Judy, I can sympathize on the allergies and lack of sleep. I was disappointed when I woke up early this morning since I coughed all night and no alarms were going to be going off. My husband is probably enjoying some sleep now that I left the room. I feel exhausted from this last week and a half of dealing with allergies. I hope you can get it under control and get some rest.
I contemplated STS yesterday , but need to plan ahead and dig out or print up workout cards. I didn't want to take up the extra time.

Deb, I didn't find the type of blouse I had in mind. I picked up a couple of plain black and grey t shirts at Ross. I will check somewhere else later. Enjoy agility class today. The ticks I have fond are generally very flat and tiny. Hard to kill. That is why I said I used my fingernail on them before.

Lori, I have found that the Fit Tower works well with the rebounder. My rebounder is a bit shrter than yours so I generally end up using the bar that slides up and dow, I did a little more bouncing on the arm and ab workout than they did. That is a deceiving looking tough workout. Have fun with the graduation festvities:)

This morning I did the Terminator I Max Extreme workout, 75 minutes, 627 calories, followed by Ripped with Hiit abs 1, 10 minutes 44 calories. Total time 85 minutes, 671 calories. I got 12, 584 steps so far. There wont be many more. I am going to bed soon. My grandson came over today and mowed and he helped me finish painting my workout room and he hung some of my things back up and anchored my television back to the wall. I am glad it is finally done. I moved some things around and then cleaned the carpet. Gertie is not feeling well today. I got up and she had vomited in front of the door on the rug and a little in the hall leading to the bedroom. Then this afternoon she came upstairs, I think trying to get my attention when I was painting. I felt bad because I told her to go because I didn't want her getting paint on her. I gave her rice and chicken tonight I checked the yard and couldn't find any evidence of anything else she might have got into. I am not sure what is going on. She still acts okay and wanted to play.
