Hi Deb, Linny, Josie, and Joan--
This morning I did Kelly C-M's 30 minutes of weights for bis, tris, and shoulders plus 2 miles with Leslie (60 min. total).
Deb, I have watched House a few times and really like it. I just haven't been keeping up with it this year. The Christmas walk is an annual tradition, where all of the merchants stay open on Saturday night and have specials for Christmas shopping. They close down the main street and there are street musicians singing and playing Christmas songs. There's also a big fundraiser where the merchants donate items to a raffle and people buy entries and browse through the offerings in one of the college's gyms. One year we won a 50 dollar certificate for a really good local restaurant. Another year a basket with wine and cheese. It's also just fun to run into friends and catch up with their news if you haven't seen them in awhile.
Josie, so sorry the east coast college didn't work out for your daughter. The first years I have been teaching this year seem to have really bonded and have become very close friends.
Joan, that room sounds fantastic, even if the water is cold in the winter. We have a big addition, too, and it's great for parties, but this year we decided it was too much work and expense. I'm a little sad--but also feel some relief about the decision.
Good luck, Linny, on your party!
Back to my papers! The late ones are trickling in.
