Good morning & Happy November!

Did everyone enjoy the extra hour of sleep? Of course our dogs woke us up at 3:30...which was their usual 4:30 time. Ugh...so much for the extra hour.

Halloween was pretty much the same as always, we got about 70 kids. We turned the lights off at 7:45, they were still out there and we could have kept answering the door, but they start to get older and I don't like opening the door to a bunch of teens without costumes etc.

Valerie, that is great that your trip turned out well, and the weather cooperated. That is so great that you are going to build on land where you enjoy being. What town is your land close to? Would you have to rent a house or something to be there while you build?

Hi Lori, Josie, Lynda & Judy,

Have a great rest of the weekend!

HI Ladies,

I stayed away from weight training this week, but I did run yesterday and felt fine. No workout today, but plan on going spinning tomorrow.
I was going to go for a ride with my ALC training group, but I decided to give my back one more day.

I have a lot of things to do this week. I'm planning a birthday party for my dad next Saturday, he is turning 80. I will be having 60 guest coming over. I'm so blessed to still have both of my parents.

Lori, my DH has a Jaguar XK8 and Lynda, he did drive this car on cross country trip. I have the Jaguar XF which is a 4 door sedan and it is so comfortable. My DH will never admit that the car is uncomfortable even though I see him struggling to get in and our of it :)

Valerie, that piece of land sounds wonderful! Glad that you had a nice vacation.

Judy, I bought Body Beast at Walmart for $20 bucks. I only did a couple of the workouts and never went back. I found great information about the workouts on ashleysweeneyrd.com.

Deb, we only got 7 kids at our house last night :(. I just put the rest of the candy in the freezer.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Josie

Hi everyone--

This morning I did Drill Max (63:43).

Deb, I loved my extra hour of sleep. I hope you could get back in bed after the dogs awakened you. I wouldn't want teenagers showing up with no costumes either. We don't get anyone because of our location. Max doesn't have a comfortable perch in the refrigerated truck, so he stays home for the pickup.

Josie, I don't think a Jaguar of any kind would work around here during the winter unless they have 4-wheel drive, of course. Good idea putting that candy out of sight, out of mind.

Valerie, do you think you will build on that land? It sounds almost as though you would prefer living there to your current house. You must have really enjoyed the solitude and wildlife (as opposed to wild life).

Lori, my younger son is such a good mimic. He cracks me up when he does the Boston accent, mostly doing a riff of some kind on sports.

Judy, how was Halloween for you?

I went to see Bridge of Spies. Absolutely loved it. Hanks manages to carry off being noble and the common man at the same time (an insurance lawyer recruited to give a competent defense for a Russian spy, Abel, then later to negotiate a trade of Abel for the U-2 pilot, Francis Powers). The script by the Coen Bros. has its moments of dry humor and Spielberg, as usual, is absolute directorial mastery. No showing off, just straightforward, let the story unfold with no distractions. He deftly interweaves two narrative strands, and then a final third strand until the whole story comes together. Based on real people, real events. An A from me.

think it took us 12.5 hours to get back. we stopped to look at a campground we might use in the future, and it rained much of the way slowing things a little. cross eyed tired by the time we got home.

We both like Montana. Montana winters are a lot more harsh than we are (now) used to. here in western WA , everything is "developing" at breakneck pace and the traffic is awful. I used to love hiking here but unless you go a long long distance.... too much company these days. even late season and marginal weather ...still people everywhere. I love the gardening, and there is no gardening where we'd build. . so right now we will consider. we bought the land about 9 years ago but decided we could not build if we had only vacation time to oversee things. this trip was really nice, and we rented a house maybe a mile from our land to really get a 'feel" for it. not much happening in winter there, so we have time to contemplate what we will do.
http://bookings.mountain-home.com/Unit/Details/35321 this is the house we rented. it was way nicer than even the pictures. it's about 25 miles to north end of YNP.

Lynda thank you for the review. I love Tom Hanks. just read a review of a new movie with Robert redford playing dan rather that sounded good. can't think of the name.

ETA Truth is the RR movie.
I did Pedal power premix for 35 minutes and then core 1. tired today from the drive.

There was a story today from the seattle times about Amazon "reviews" of a book written by the mother of one of the children killed in the Newtown school massacre. Apparently the gun nuts have launched an attack on her because of the "Newtown shooting hoax" . I was wondering if this was a story that has run geographically closer to the shooting that haven't seen before? She's being attacked online with negative reviews of her book and amazon is not restricting comments who actually read the book. the article talked about other attacks on industries and Amazon's refusal to intervene.
I'm a long way from Connecticut so I'm wondering if the "hoax" of the shooting is a story that's been around? I can insert a link to the story if anyone would like to see it. It is upsetting to read people don't believe anything unless the bodies are on their own front porch.
will do a workout today, not sure exactly what. just sitting all day yesterday.... I sit on a rolled up jacket in the car to change position or I get a backache. I don't understand why seats with your butt sunk way down are considered comfortable.

Good evening ladies!

Yesterday I did Live Upper Express followed by a SB lower target. Today I did not workout. My DS came by and helped my DH with the leaves. Very nice of him. We let him have our weight bench so he took that today. We hardly ever used it anyways (I just use my step). So once he took this out I had the urge to rearrange the workout room. Was really tired when done so I called it a day! I have a gastro appt in the morning which will allow me to have a long workout.

No extra hour of sleep for me either. Woke up at 4:30 and that was it for me, been up ever since. Perhaps tomorrow I'll sleep in a bit.

Deb...no trick or treaters here at all! Over the years as the children have grown caused it to slow down. I did not even buy any candy. As far as Halloween itself I agree there seems to be a surge lately. Everyone was excited about it this year. I leave Friday morning for DC and staying at a Marriott Courtyard. I am going for my cousin's son's burial. Not sure if I mentioned here. He was in Afghanistan and was injured. Came home and between the injury, PTS and all the pills the VA put him on he died of an accidental overdose in June. Was so very sad. Friday he will be put to rest in Arlington National. I'll be traveling with another cousin and we will be sharing the room to split costs. We come home on Sunday.

Judy...great price on Body Beast. I have heard really good things about this program. Yeah!!! You are just about there on STS!!! Awesome job!!!

Lynda...great review on the movie. I read it to my husband and we both want to see it. We really like Tom Hanks. Funny about your son. The Boston accent is harder to pull of than most think. Some actors can really nail it and some try hard but just do not get there.

Valerie...wow! The view is beautiful!! The house is very nice too!!! I can see why you would want to build in that area. Long ride to and from though. Now that you are both retired, I would imagine your trips there once you build would be longer. Then the ride would not be so bad. Will you permanently live there? Looks like right up your alley.

Josie..your cars sound really nice. I agree with Lynda about 4 wheel drive! Very nice of you to throw your dad a bday party. 60 people is a good size one too. Is it a surprise party? I remember when you did a few of the Body Beast workouts. Good thinking putting the candy in the freezer. Everyone at the office seems to bring it in so we will have a candy overload the next couple of weeks!

Have a great night all!

Good morning,

Yesterday I did KCM's Your Best Body ( workout #1). I think I will stick with KCM weight workouts until the ICE ones get here. Nice, short, and to the point. The dog club party was good, I ate too much though. The costumes were really cute.

Josie, good idea to skip the weight workouts while your back is not right. I can't imagine going across the country in a sports car. The time we drove to Provincetown, we had a small Datsun, no A/C..I look back on that now and can't believe we did it, but at the time it was fun. Will you be having the birthday party at your house? 60 people is a lot to plan for! Did you not like Body Beast?

Lynda, thanks for the movie review..that sounds like a good one. Was it "Academy Award" worthy?

Valerie, that house looks great, and a far cry from renting a cabin...LOL. That is my idea of camping. :). I guess you having the house there would be similar to all the people that live here 1/2 of the year and the other half in Florida. Most rent houses or condos there though....this way they don't have to worry about maintenance while they are her for the summer. Usually they rent the same one year after year which is nice. You really have to have someone here during the winter to check on your house, with the cold temps ...pipes ok, furnace still running...etc.

Judy, how was your weekend?

Lori, so sorry about your cousin...that is sad. you can come and re-arrange my workout room? I won't give up anything, that is the problem. I have a weight bench with squat rack that takes up so much room, and I haven't used it for years, but I keep thinking I may want to one day so it stays.

Maybe the track this morning or a treadmill workout, hopefully it will be warm today, and I can finally get the yard finished...then class tonight...not much else going on here...

Take care,

Good morning ladies,

I will be going to spin class today. My back feel a lot better, but I will tell Karina to go easy on me tomorrow and to give me a good stretch at the end of the workout.

Valerie, that is such a nice house and the views are amazing.

Deb, when you are young you don't feel any pain :). The party is at my house and it's mostly family and I'm use to having that many people over. I will probably have around 45-50 for Thanksgiving too. I only did a couple of the Body Beast workouts and just never got hooked on it like I did with Insanity.

Lori, It is not a surprise party, but I have a few surprises that will happen during the party :).

Hi to Judy and Garance!

Josie

Hi everyone--

This morning I did LLA (48:33). Haven't done this one in awhile. It feels intermediate compared to DM yesterday, but it gets the job done.

Lori, that is so sad. I'm sure the service at Arlington will be moving and honor him with ceremony.

Deb, I definitely think Hanks's performance is Oscar worthy. But like his performance in "Captain Phillips" it is naturalistic, not ACTING, and for that reason, he will probably be nominated but lose to someone like Eddie Redmayne last year for his meticulous portrayal of Stephen Hawking. I also think Spielberg will get nominated, and maybe the production designer and the Coen Brothers. Probably Matt Damon for "The Martian" as well as Ridley Scott and the production designer. Mars looks pretty spectacular.

Gosh, Josie, I can't imagine doing Thanksgiving for that many people. I assume (hope?) that everyone brings something. If I had a party that big, I would probably hire a caterer so I could enjoy my guests and not be nervous. You must be a great cook.

Valerie, that looks like a gorgeous place to build. "Truth" is about that story Dan Rather did on George W. Bush getting out of any Viet Nam flying and just serving in the National Guard because his father pulled some strings. Rather's story was apparently based on false documents and he was fired from CBS along with his producer, who will be played by Cate Blanchett. It will probably be perceived as an attack on Republicans by a well-known supporter of liberal causes (Redford) and alternatively, as a defense of a free press. Even its title--"Truth"--is so laden with political implications, it will probably be controversial. I haven't heard about the "Sandy Hook hoax" but I have come to believe that "denial" is not just a psychological defense anymore, but a ruling principle in public discourse these days.

Hi to Judy!

Hi Everyone,

We had a good weekend. We spent most of Saturday in Ann Arbor at a stamp show and then shopping. Yesterday I did STS disc 34, Chest & Back and today I did a 1 hour Spinerval. I was wrong about us not having an Indian Summer. It's in the 70's and sunny today and that is supposed to continue until Thursday.
We've never had trick or treaters here on Halloween. Like Lori, we don't even buy candy.

Deb-Wow, 70 is a lot of trick or treaters to have. I wouldn't like teenagers showing up either. That's kind of weird.

Lori-I'm so sorry about your cousin's son. That is very sad. Thoughts and prayers to your family.

Valerie-I've always wanted to visit Montana. The place where you stayed looks beautiful!

Josie-Thanks so much for the website! I found some good information on Body Beast and I'm really glad I ordered it now. I'm hoping I can get DH interested in it too.

Lynda-Drill Max is one I haven't tried yet. It sounds challenging! I should put it on my Cathe to do list.

Judy

Good evening ladies!

This morning I did Live Fitness Fusion followed up with some standing abs. Total workout time came in at just about an hour. Was up at 3:30am this morning. My DH gets up this early every Monday. Last night he was having alarm issues so I needed to set my phone alarm to make sure he woke up. Then of course once I was awake I was done in. So instead of gaining an hour the past 2 days I have been loosing an hour!!! What the heck??? No lunch workout as I did not arrive at work until 11am due to my appt.

Thank you for your kind words about my cousin's son. It really is so very sad. He was a chef at a hotel in DC and left to join the army because he felt he needed to. What happened is heartbreaking. He did not deserve this. I am thrilled his wish to be buried at Arlington is happening.

Deb...you always do well with KCM. Seems like you really click with her. I bet the dogs all looked adorable!!! That's a lot of trick or treaters! My dogs would be barking all night long. I still have the squat rack and kind of moved it to the utility room. Think we are going to give this to DS also. Since my shoulder issues I do not lift with a barbell any longer and really do not miss it at all. I loved my squat rack and bench but it really has been collecting dust. By removing these it freed up so much space. Some day I will do STS again but only dumbbells will be used and I will skip Meso 1 and no squat rack workouts - plyo only!

Judy...been a while since I have done Drill Max too. I remember liking it but also remember it is soooo long. Her live version is good and I have done this a couple of times. Tough but not as long!

Josie...sounds like tons of work. You must really enjoy having that many people over and for Thanksgiving too! Wow! Good for you. You must have several ovens? How do you cook for that many? Nice that you have a few surprises up your sleeve. :)

Lynda...I remember Captain Phillps being really intense. Then the scene where he was so emotional. I was balling. I have not seen The Martian but hear it is really good. I think you were one of the people that said it was great. Hmmm I did not know that about Rather!

Hi to Valerie!

Good morning,

Yesterday I did Cathe's HIIT Low Impact workout, with Abs...really like this one. No dread factor. Indian Summer anyone? It was a beautiful day yesterday and should stay like this at least through tomorrow. Loving it. Also finally got the pots and all that stuff put away, all except what needs to go back into the garage. Will wait until John is around...he can assist with the heavy stuff.

Josie, glad your back is better...good to have Karina go light and a nice stretch afterwards! Thanks for that link for the Body Beast workouts...that is the same woman that does the 21 Day Fix workouts...I am really tempted to buy them, if ICE wasn't on it's way...

Lynda, LL& A....wow, and DM...blasts from the past. You mentioned going through your older workouts and that's something I should do too. I get in a rut and seem to reach for the same ones over and over.

Judy, that is a great price for what you get for BB....I still may get it...:).

Lori, too bad about not being able to take advantage of the extra hour....:(....That is so nice that your cousin's son will be able to be in Arlington. It is very moving just to see it. My bench/squat rack is now used as a catch all for lots of stuff....not sure where that would go if I got rid of it...I actually sold DM on Ebay...not a favorite of mine.

It's primary day today, so voting is on the "to do" list...otherwise a workout and I think a mani-pedi...

Take care,

Hi Ladies,

No run this morning, my friend was not feeling well so we are running tomorrow morning. Karina will be here at 10:30, my DH was already to workout yesterday, he forgot it was Monday :) He is really hooked now!

Lori, I only have one oven. I start baking my pies the weekend before Thanksgiving, then I chop everything I need for the side dishes. My DB#2 makes the turkey and I make the ham and all the side dishes and desserts. I also make a couple of cakes to celebrate my peanuts birthdays and my dads. I have been doing it for so many years that I have it down pack.

Garance, remember that I have 7 brothers one passed away 25 years ago, but if all the family shows up it is a big crowd. Every one helps me out by setting up or cleaning up after. They also help me by taking leftovers home :). My dad brings his own ice cooler with bags for his leftovers. He is so funny!

Deb, I'm also tempted to buy the 21 day fix. I may ask my DD to get it for me for Christmas along with some cycling gear.

Judy, glad that the web-site helped you. She did a great review of it.

Hi to Valerie!

Josie

Hi everyone--

This morning I did RWH ch, sh, tris with abs 1 (47:58).

Indian Summer here and so lovely! Also very unusual for November, the cruelest month IMO to disagree with T.S. Eliot.

Josie, it sounds like you are super well-organized as well as being a great cook!

Deb, I love those two low impact workouts too. I have been trying to change things up a bit while I wait for the ICE workouts.

Judy, what I like about DM is that it has a lot of variety.

Lori, wow, an hour of working out after getting up at 3:30. Girl, you have incredible stamina. I remember that scene from Captain Phillips too--as if he couldn't believe he had survived. Very moving. I'm with Deb on Arlington--I cried when I visited there as well. Did your cousin's son enlist after 911 like so many did?

Hi to Valerie!

http://www.seattletimes.com/business/amazon/amazon-reviews-hijacked-by-causes-conspiracies-rage/
a link to the Amazon/ Newton shooting story. I thought maybe was common knowledge ?? in the east, closer to the shooting. the story ran here sunday .... the action is taking place on the amazon web site and there are other examples of how their "review" system is being used for other than product reviews.

Josie that is an incredible number of people to feed. Wow. I stick to 6 or less but I have a very small family, few close by.

I have a bench and barbell rack cathe sold. I use the bench for dumbbell presses/fly's. I haven't used the barbell rack lately but DH does. I use the bench for dips, and as support for dumbbell rows. sit on it for curls etc. I'm surprised your benches don't get used more!. I park dumbbells on it too, in between uses, to keep the floor clear. I have a high step that doesn't get much use. never bought a "regular" step.

I have Drill Max also and haven't used it in ages. I don't remember if it had pre mixes on it? I do remember it being long.

this state went to "all mail" voting years ago. I'd been doing it for decades since I used to travel so much. If you have the option, it's so convenient. Much easier to research the choices. I'm a much better informed voter now. with in-person voting, there always seemed to be something I hadn't researched and I'd end up skipping or guessing. I did my homework, voted and mailed it before we went on our last trip.

Lori lovely he gets his wish to be at Arlington.
You are relentlessly consistent in your workouts. wish I had the same drive.

Good evening ladies!

This morning I did RWH lower body circuit. And tonight was SB's Arms. No workout at lunch thank goodness! It is Month End at our company so everyone has been extremely busy. Hoping to workout at lunch tomorrow. I actually slept until 5:15am today! Yahoo!

Josie...I forgot you come from a large family. You all must have this down to a science. That is so wonderful. So darn cute that your Dad brings a cooler. How sweet. That is great your DH is really enjoying the workouts. My DH kind of stopped all together. He seems to be maintaining his weight loss but not working out at all.

Deb...I almost did the Low impact Hiit this morning! Perhaps I'll do this one in the morning. Been a while since I visited my DVD's. I like all her premixes she is showing for ICE. Seems like there is something for everyone. Hilarious about your bench and squat rack!

Lynda...yes you would think I would have been exhausted but after answering emails and several cups of coffee I was good to go. I bet that is why I was finally able to sleep this morning. I am loving this weather! He enlisted a few years after 9/11 but it did have a huge impact on his decision. One day he just quit his job and told his father he had enlisted in the Army.

Valerie...I work about 30 minutes from Newton. Not sure how I missed this story. The only thing with Amazon I have heard recently are all the fake reviews. I found our bench too high for me and felt more comfortable just using my step bench. I have 6 risers for each side but mostly only go as high as 4 or 5 when using as a bench and have the slanted rises when doing inclines. This works well for me. I would love to be able to mail in my votes! I have my moments with my workouts! :)

Judy...this is your final week with STS correct?

Today marks 50 years since my Dad passed. So hard to believe that much time has gone by. I came across a picture of him when he was about 14-15 years old that I posted as my profile picture for today on Facebook. My son looks so much like him it is unbelievable. More like him than my brothers do. Amazing how life can be. Warms my heart. :)

Lori I think that's why the story ran here.... because Amazon is "local" and Newtown is not ... fake reviews? I never realized that people could "mob" a book and review and make it about something else entirely. Newtown ( not sure if I have the spelling right) was my last hope for us (this country) doing something about guns, and when that failed, I lost hope. If no one can get motivated about shooting 6 yr olds in schoolrooms and their teachers, I don't see how anything will change. Oh well, just another day on the farm I guess..... so many more shootings since. It saddens me that nothing gets accomplished to improve. to have this woman be the victim of fake "reviews" and have amazon let it slide, I don't get that either.

Mail voting is terrific. I'm not sure it improves the turnout which is still pathetic ..... but it makes my votes more accurate. I love not having to drive there, stand in line, and then get confused because I forgot to research something.

We did a 26 mile road ride this afternoon when the weather cleared off. a bit cold but will get used to it. I use my bench like Cathe uses the step and risers. already had the bench and just worked it into the system.

Good morning,

The dogs got me up at 3:40 and I couldn't get back to sleep....ahhhh.....Indian Summer....love it!
Not much going on here...I did some clean up in the basement, washed the outside of the freezer, organized some shelves etc etc.

Josie, that is so great that your DH is working out like he is. I wish I could get John interested in some type of work out. What was it about Body Beast that you didn't like?

Lynda, the Ripped w/HIIT has to be one of my favorite Cathe series...though I think it's time to cull out some of the older ones again. I find that there are a lot of series I never even think about doing.

Valerie, that Amazon review hacking is horrible....but I can understand why Amazon feels they shouldn't remove them. .I think they should only let you review if you have purchased the book from them. They should be able to control it with that...not sure why they don't. There is a similar thing ( although not political or anything like that) that goes on once in a while over at Barnes & Noble....kids use the reviews to communicate with each other....it's really strange...you are reading a review and all of a sudden you find yourself in the middle of some conversation between what appears to be teenagers.

Lori, sleeping in until 5:15???? how lazy is that? :). With the workouts you do, I am amazed you can even get up. LOL I also like the premixes in ICE....but I think she has gone overboard to some degree...did you see the list for the Sweat one that was posted the other day? Too many choices for me...but I like that she has Timesaver ones. Fifty years since your Dad passed away....wow...You were very young...do you have memories of him? It was 41 years this past June for my Mom.

Hi Judy!

Maybe a track workout today...then agility class with Kylee....

Take care,

Hi everyone--

This morning I did both of the RWH low impact hiit workouts together (50:08). I guess I was inspired by Deb to do these again, even though I feel like I have done them many weeks in a row. I didn't buy all of the RWH workouts--too much impact for me.

Valerie, at Amazon they do have a notation indicating that a buyer is verified. I know there is/was this one really crazy guy who kept giving every book 1 star, just to be a crank. I mostly rely on reviews in NYT or NYorker or EW or Vogue sometimes and not just the Amazon readers, who are frequently all over the place on even great books. It is disheartening to see how much people are willing to put up with in gun violence. Every few weeks, another massacre, and a steady every day death toll. There is a 60 minute premix on DM.

Lori, yesterday I spent some time thinking about two of my sisters, one whose birthday is on November 3. She would have been 73 (she died age 44 from a massive brain hemorrhage). My other sister died on November 3, 1999 at the age of 70. My dad died when I was 2, so I really only have old photographs of him. Apparently he was quite a good dancer--the polka and waltz--and there are a few pictures of him in his dancing clothes. My mom met him at a dance hall, and since my grandmother was Missouri synod Lutheran and did not approve of dancing, she was very displeased for awhile with my mom.

Josie, that is great your DH has kept up with the workouts.

Judy, are you still enjoying Indian Summer? It's gorgeously warm here.

I get annoyed. I always read reviews of products before I buy. appliances, clothes, coffee machines, you name usually not books though. the cranks are usually obvious, and I ignore them. I was just shopping for shoe covers and men's bike pants. read all the reviews before deciding which to get, and it helped me decide what might be best. one crank here and there is not that big an issue, but this is pretty extreme. I suppose it would be censorship to eliminate bogus "reviews", but I think they could eliminate comments from people who have not bought the book. I don't know if other retailers limit comments? it's upsetting to see someone who has been through the horror of Newtown get attacked online by idiots.

I wish I had good memories of my father but he was a difficult unhappy man. I barely remember he and my mother exchanging a civil word. He would go silent and not speak to her for months at a time. many times from one holiday to the next, like he'd get mad about something at Easter and not say a word until Thanksgiving. makes for unpleasant memories. I didn't feel bad when he passed. It took two to tango, my mother was part of the problem too, but in a different way. everyone has passed at a ripe old age, except for a cousin who committed suicide.

Josie, congrats to your DH for keeping up workouts. Deb, I think my efforts with cousin fell on deaf ears. too bad you can't get John to do something with you. My DH is a reliable exerciser, and nags me if he thinks I'm not doing enough.

We hiked today, about 6 miles 4.5 hours. it's winter in the mountains now, snow and ice, and clouds instead of the sun that was predicted. One hike we did in Yellowstone last week was also 6 miles in snow. we saw all kinds of tracks...... deer, elk, coyotes, weasels, rabbits, squirrels but here we saw only squirrel tracks. Big difference.

I haven't looked at the ICE workouts but I do like premixes. many times I'll do a timesaver rather than skipping a workout all together. I SHOULD of course always do the full workout. I need to re-look at some of the older workouts that are gathering dust, DM is one of them.

Good evening ladies!

This morning I also did both RWH Low Impact workouts. I really like these two together and do not know why I do not do them more often. No lunch workout. Still all very busy. And no workout tonight and I am ok with this.

Deb...lol! I actually felt like I slepted in. I was 4 when he passed. He was sick for a year and yet I have a dozen or so nice memories of him healthy so that shows you how far back my memory goes. I too like the RWH series when I do them!

Lynda...November 3rd will always be etched in our hearts. You certainly have had your share of pain. I am so sorry for your losses. 44 is so young. Very sad. My younger brother was just over a year when my Dad passed and like you has no memory. I feel so blessed to remember what I do. Most do not at 3 years. Beautiful here again today!

Valerie...look who is talking about being relentless with my workouts. I could never keep up with you and Judy biking or you hiking!!! Very cool to see all those prints. I have only been to Yellowstone once back in 1984. Loved it!

Spoke with my cousin that I am traveling with to DC and on Saturday we have decided we would like to visit the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial. I am told the Jefferson Memorial is beautiful at night so we will do this at night. Not sure what else we can fit in one day so thinking this may be it.

Hi to Josie and Judy!
