Good morning,

Well He DId IT Again!!! Got his second leg towards his title...We all thought he performed better yesterday than Friday but his score was a lot lower...a new provisional judge ( means that they are still being watched by the AKC rep and not a "full fledged judge yet) was scoring everyone really tough. He made it though and that's what counts.

I will bbl ...gotta do the "poop" walk...or John will be a basket case going in the ring...that's an automatice disqualification...

Take care....

Hi Deb and any later posters--

This morning I did disk 28 (65 min.) for Chest and Back.

I'm rooting for little K! So today could bring home a title? a trophy? a medal? a certificate? Does Keegan "know" his performance is significant?

I think I beat the cold with megadoses of cold-eeze, or at least this morning I did not wake up with the scratchy throat I had yesterday that is usually the prelude to a cold for me. Crossing my fingers.

Hope everyone else has had a great weekend!

Hi ladies,

Congratulations Keegan.

Elliot has a drippy nose so I think I will take an Airborne to get my extra vit. I don't need a cold either.

Elliot came at noon for her sleepover. She immediately got into her pj's. I don't know what she expected but she was very busy until 9pm when we both fell asleep. I just woke up so unless I get wo in now there was no wo this weekend. Dh drove over to see his mother but at least he is off tomorrow so he will have time with Elliot.

Monday

Good Morning,

I did not get up this morning, until Kelsey started wandering around the room and jumped at the side of the bed. That is her way to tell me she has to go outside. I am very tired right now.

Keegan did qualify yesterday so he got his first Obedience title, a "CD" or Companion Dog title. It's amazing for a dog that is not yet 2 years old to do it in 3 tries. We were walking through the breed ring stuff and I bought him a toy which he carried around in his mouth. Everyone thought he looked so proud of himself...he just was happy to get the toy.

Garance, that Cold-ese stuff must really work. I think I might pick up some for when the next cold hits. I found the Murad for $55 including shipping....I usually try to get it for under $50, unless you really need it now...if so, let me know and I will get the $55 one..or I will stay on the hunt!!.

Joan, you sound tired. Maybe you should get some Cold-ese right away so you don;t get Elliot's cold. You certainly don;t need one at this time of year.

Hi to Cathy, Josie & Valerie, hope you had a good weekend.

Hi Deb, Josie, Joan, Cathy, and Valerie--

This morning I did Step Moves (44 min.). More fun than last time. I have almost nailed it.

Congrats go to SMART DOG KEEGAN! So he does know when he has put in a great performance. I'll take the 55 dollar essential-C Deb and send you a check pronto. It's a lot better than the 90 dollars they charge at their site. I still have your address. Have you started your bathroom renovation yet?

Yep, the Cold-eeze lozenges really do work if you start them within 24 hours of a suspected onset of the good old rhino virus. I like the lemon ones best.

Started watching 24 last night. Looks good. I think we will be going to see Avatar this week. There's a new theater with 3-D and Dolby sound and I want to take advantage of it.

Joan, I hope your mil is feeling a bit better and yes, I do recommend the Cold-eeze. It's the zinc that works.

Hi to Josie, Cathy, and Valerie!

Hi ladies,

I took the airborne because that's what I had but I did notice it didn't have zinc.

Another day with no wo but I just haven't had time.

Mil is not doing well. She didn't have bladder infection. Blood in urine is because of blood thinner. After her stroke in Nov. the doctor didn't think she would recover. Since then he has gotten her blood so thin so she wouldn't have another stroke. She must be bleeding internally. They gave her a transfusion today but she didn't seem any better-very weak.

Tuesday

Good Morning,

I slept in until 5:00 again. For some reason right now I have no interest in doing any exercise.... I need to have a good talk with myself.

Garance, check your private messages...I got the Murad. I wish I liked Cathe's step routines. I cannot get her choreography.

Joan, keeping your MIL in my prayers.

Hi to Josie, Cathy and Valerie.

Take care.

good morning all.
did 35 on the treadmillafter a 15 min bike warm up, and then took DH in for his colonoscopy. the preparation is worse than the procedure itself. I don't know how anyone would ever, EVER willingly eat jello after going thru this. I disliked jello before but now I absolutely detest it. He had a zero fiber diet on saturday.. UGH... and sunday was liquids only, and noon was the earliest he could schedule the test monday. a long stretch without any real food. A terrible process. DH has a bad family hx and they found two small polyps. no big deal if they're found and removed.

today will be yoga, hair cut and color. then shopping. will get in a repeat of disk 9 I think this afternoon.

I've never tried cold-eeze but I take zinc lozenges if I feel a cold coming. they taste awful. does cold-eeze tast OK?

Deb, I do something even if I don't want to, because I dread working my way back up from a period of inactivity. especially leg workouts. I get so sore if I don't do them regularly.

whoops, gotta go, more later

Hi Deb, Josie, Joan, Cathy, and Valerie--

This morning I did disk 30 for sh, bis, tris (64 min.). Meso 3 is slightly irritating because of the long rests. I know it's supposed to be good for me, but . ....

Deb, I sent a pm to you on my e-mail address. You know the mantra: JUST DO IT! I have problems getting up in the morning as well because it's still dark and I'd just as soon roll over and cover my head, but then I know I will feel terrible later if I don't get up and get going. That's the talk I give myself almost every morning.

Valerie--the Cold-eeze lozenges come in several flavors and are much better than the straight zinc lozenges which used to make me somewhat nauseated.

Joan, so sorry about your mil. How is your DH handling this? You sound burdened with family troubles.

Hi to Josie and Cathy!

Hi Deb, Garance, Josie, Valerie and Cathy

Deb Have you ever tried working out in afternoon/evening?

I don't remember if I told you I got a Wii system for Christmas. I bought the balance board with Wii fitness games and it included the Jillian 2009 game. I just spent 45 minutes trying out the different exercises. From all the comments on the other forums I thought they might be worthless. Actually some of them were fun. I'm sure they won't replace weight lifting but it did use quite a few calories. I'm hoping to use it when I only have 10-15 minutes between clients.

Garance I think Dh finally realized how bad his mother is. He wasn't that worried when he thought it was just another bladder infection but even then I wasn't sure how much more her body can take.

Joan

excuse me for having to get off suddenly before. It got later than I realized, had to get Dh's lunch /breakfast and get to yoga& somehow time got away from me.

Joan, sorry to hear your MIL is doing poorly. My FIL is dwindling too, with dementia and parkinson's and a few dozen other things, as is my aunt with losing her vision, hearing, bladder control. I don't have any words of wisdom except to be as sure as you can about what her wishes are for treatment in the future and to respect her wishes. I went thru this with my father years ago and it was difficult but finally we had to say "enough". my mother is still fairly healthy at 90 but I'm dreading that I may need to go thru it again with her.

Deb, I agree with Garance, try a workout at a different time of day or a totally different workout. anything to change things up a little. I sometimes exercise just because I dread the DOMS that I know will follow if I don't do something regularly.

garance, I'll pick up some cold-eeze. they can't taste any worse than the zinc lozenges. Gaack, they're bad.

Some extra errands popped up today, but will still try to get in disk #9, repeat though it is.

Hump Day

Good Morning,

Ended up on the couch last night due to DH's snoring. I did sleep well once I got back to sleep. It snowed a bit last night, we probably have an inch or two on the ground. Makes for ugly driving.

Valerie, I hear you on the preparation for a colonoscopy...ugh....not sure about the jello, I never ate jello during prep. Just drank the awful stuff mixed with something, like ginger ale....I can't even stand the smell of ginger ale anymore.

Garance, I am going to try to talk myself into getting back into it...it would be nice if I had the time to get up, relax a bit, have some coffee, then do the workout. I know when I get back into it I usually don't mind getting up.

Joan, with my work schedule I never know when I am getting home and usually I am exhausted, I just want to get into a pair of sweats, eat something and crash. I always wondered what that Wii fit system was like. Prayers for your MIL..and to you and your DH. It is really hard to see your parents suffer.

Hi to Josie & Cathy,

Take care and stay warm!

Hi Ladies,

I'm back at work. I took the day off yesterday to attend my friend’s funeral. It was very emotional especially when they played Taps. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

I did my wo with Kevin plus 30 minutes of cardio. Today I will be spinning and 20 minutes on the elliptical plus abs. My ride on Saturday went well except for a couple of funny falls.
I'm still new on the road bike, the ALC training group is very helpful and they know their stuff. I know that I'm in good hands.

Joan, sorry to hear about your mil. I will keep her in my prayers.

Garance, I'm glad that you caught that cold in time. It took me 3 weeks to get back to normal from my Christmas cold.

Hi Cathy, are the grandkids keeping you busy?

Deb, I will need some more Avon. Please let me know if you can order it for me.
I will send you the link as to what I need and get your butt out of bed and move that booty!!!!!!

Hi Valerie!

Josie

Hi Deb, Josie, Joan, Cathy, and Valerie--

This morning I did Cardio Barre, the ultimate workout (55 min.). Don't think I like this twerp. He looks like a thug from the Sopranos. Maybe it's just that I find this workout pretty tough.

I am really depressed about the MA vote for Senator. Ugh--a Cosmo centerfold representing me?? Coakley is a Williams grad (she was a senior when I arrived and that's when this was a predominantly men's school), whip-smart and a really tough Attorney General who has been successful going after Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. She ran a poor campaign though and took too much for granted. Very sad. I guess we will go back to getting nothing done in Washington, but maybe that's what people want--no government services other than a big bloated defense supplied by military contractor fat cats. Blech!

End of rant.

Josie, glad to see you back! Taps almost always bring tears to my eyes. Are the rains coming down on you??

My recent colonscopy was really very easy. I took a lot of pills and drank a ton of water with them. Did not have to do that big drink that tasted so bad. I like Italian ices for my fast day.

More technology to learn here since we replaced Blackboard with a new system called Glow. I hate new computer stuff.

Boy, I guess you can tell I am cranky today.

Hi Garance,

Yes, the rain has been here since Sunday evening and it has not stopped. We need though.

Josie

i know i have asked this before, but i can never find the answer. sorry , but how do ya'll put the firm and tracies workouts in the workout calendar? it is hard because i don't know if they are true interval. maybe they are. what do ya'll think. i put the 2 i did today in as cardio & weights. SIM , of course , has the med ball w/cardio and i went pretty heavy on the lower body segments. well, thanks

so, had the grandkids fri-mon, so was worn out. then, had a bad attack of acid reflux monday nite, and thought i was gonna die. i was in bed most of the day yesterday, so today i doubled up. did SIM & JFbuns. now, i have a sore throat, feel like i'm gettin' sick.
my plan is to do dynamic strength and power if i can. i have not done it in a long time, cuz i hurt my back last time, so i'm gonna try, i think. will let you know how it goes. ok, now i am gonna go catch up on all the posts i've missed.

Thursday

Good Morning,

I think I am liking this sleeping in too much.

Cathy, that acid reflux sounds horrid, I went over to the Workout Manager and tried to add a workout that was not a Cathe one and could not figure it out either. Forget about asking in the Workout Manager Forum...no one ever reads that or responds anymore..

Josie, I am the same about Taps....I held it together really well at my Dad's service until they played taps and handed me the flag...then I lost it. Absolutely will get you the Avon stuff..just let me know exactly what you want. You can PM me or attach a link here..

Garance, I am going to ask for the pills next time I have to do the Colonoscopy...did you see my e-mail about the Murad for $41? I got one ..just because...Your other one is on it's way..

Joan, you were posting at 2:11 am my time...Yikes...get some rest girl!

Hi to Valerie!

Take care...
