Pentagenarians & Beyond: November 9, 2025

I use the paper calendars for a lot of things i dont clutter a pocket calendar with. like the trash pick up schedule. they take recycle every other week unless there are weather interruptions or holidays and then the day and week might change. we need to get the containers ut early, usually the night before. Puss needs his flea meds and his worming meds. we have a private water system. it gets flushed periodically. cant use much water for a few hours so its a good thing to remember. i put workout records on them. I cant record all that on an electronic calendar. we always have several paper calendars around but they are slowly fading away, like phone booths,
 
Thursday I shopped and yesterday I went to South Bend to the zoo. Beautiful day for it! Sunny and 60. Had to get air in my tires before I went, and so I just headed down from Battle Creek, and that was an interesting drive. Curvy roads, that counties country roads are really bad, and even one dirt road that was being graded and the dirt pile was still in the middle. LOL After about an hour, I got to better roads. I took the toll road back to 69 on the way home. Took about $5 out of my EZ Pass account, but I rarely ever use it since Derek isn't here.

I happened to get a calendar last year, but hadn't been getting them every year for quite awhile. I just put them on the wall, and don't actually use them for anything. So, many things are going to digital now. I know they said with the last workouts that it was getting harder to do the DVD's, so we'll see if they do them beyond what's being put together now.
 
Today is my rest day. I went to the Farmer’s Market since the weather was mild.

Judy, great job with the Peloton ride, Peloton Upper Body, PT, stretching, and restorative yoga. Jessica’s chair stretch is a good one.

Cathy, I’m glad that you had a good trip to the South Bend Zoo. I would be surprised if Cathe does more DVDs after this series. Everyone seems to be selling all of their inventory.

This morning I did a 45-minute Peloton Full Body workout and this afternoon I did 10 minutes of Peloton Hip Mobility, 20 minutes of Yin Yoga and 20 minutes of Restorative Yoga.

Cathy- I’m glad you got to go to the zoo on such a nice day. I agree with Carolyn, I don’t think Cathe will be doing anymore DVDs after this series.

we did a park walk this morning, several miles and 1 hr 17 minutes. therapy later.

as much as i dislike it, dvds are getting phased out . we have a lot of them and use them often because what we want to watch is not necessarily available streaming. cant stream in our workout room. we are doing some Great Courses on dvd right now. they have switched to some kind of subscription plan now but i havent checked it out yet. we try to watch movies on saturday and sunday night but even with prime, netflix and apple, its hard to find a watchable movie. wow, there is some total crap. many times with very famous big name people but that doesnt necessarily improve movie quality.
