Pentagenarians & Beyond: November 30, 2025

I didn’t get to work out today. Several things came up that interfered with my schedule.

Valerie, I hope PT can help you find a way to use the roller.

Nice workouts everybody. Take care.

This morning I did JS 15 Minute Calorie Burst, 15 minutes, 107 calories burned, 135 average heart rate, and 155 maximum heart rate. Then I did STS 2 Chair Yoga.

Hello to everyone and have a wonderful day.

did a 25 min spin last night. along with therapy today did therapy once and will walk the yard if it stays somewhat dry. the crew finished the main part of the deck project this morning. we changed the plan on the last section and need to wait for an order from Canada. hopefully no more animosity or tariffs will pop up. we decided to replace a section we had planned to leave as before when we looked closer at it.

Yesterday I did a 30 minute Peloton Ride and 30 minutes of Restorative Yoga. This morning I walked a little over 2 miles at the mall with my husband. This afternoon I did Boss Bands Total Body.

Valerie-Great job with the spins and pt sessions.

Carolyn-Great job with JS 15 Minute Calorie Burst and STS 2 Chair Yoga.

Hi to Diane Sue & Cathy

Yesterday, I did Caroline Jordan Osteoporosis abs and Osteoporosis Upper Body, 21 minutes, 68 calories. I then did LMR Total Body Timesaver upper and core skipping the core and a couple of moves because this has upper lower combos and my knee is bothering me. This was 40 minutes since I added some of Jessica Valant scoliosis work, I have downloaded. Total time spent was 61 minutes, 189 calories
Today I just did some of the mobility and stretch moves and some from the book I am reading. My husband got up early and we went for his eye appointment which took a long time, so I read more of the Built from broken book. I wish I had ordered the book rather than the Kindle edition. I may get the book although there is a link on the kindle one where you could put where purchased and my e mail and I got the worksheets downloads and saved the videos of all of the moves including the morning mobility segment all put together in an order which does not take very long to go through. There is a lot of good information. They explain common errors with moves and correct ways to do them. Hopefully I can get more work in tomorrow.

diane sue thanks for mentioning the name of that book again. i was going to ask you for it. i am going to look at it. more info cant hurt. i will look up the scoliosis one also. i cant get to them from our workout room but could from other places here. i walked for half an hour late today and did therapy work. the deck finished off today. there is a section that will be done in a month or so, when the materials arrive. we changed our plan a little and it still needs to be drier than it is right now to complete this part.

Left at a little after 8 yesterday and didn't get back until after 4. My job yesterday was to improve my Mom's mood. That's not hard, because all I have to do it walk in the door. Pretty much any company at all does that. Three days before they'd gone out and there were icy areas in and out of buildings and that freaked her out, so Thursday she was supposed to get her eye pressure checked, but they rescheduled because she was to upset about the ramp to go out. I went down yesterday, and after I left the kid who helps them with stuff came and got the sand out of my Dad's trunk and spread it for him. My Dad has already realized that they should be somewhere else while also going on about only having enough money for 4 years in Assisted Living, though note he's never actually gone and looked and got actual pricing anywhere. The day they rescheduled her appointment, he told her that was why they should be in assisted living, WOW apparently that was really not a good thing to say. True, but she's never going to agree and it really pushes her buttons.

No workout Thursday or Friday, but this morning I did the upper body premix of Boss Loops.

Valerie great that your deck is progressing.

Diane Sue it sounds like a really good book, I hope it helps you.

Hi Carolyn and Judy.

Today I did LMR Functional Lower Body. I skipped a few of the exercises that I didn’t want to do, but didn’t choose a premix. My time was 47 minutes with 158 calories burned, average heart rate 110, and maximum heart rate 146.

Valerie, nice job spinning, walking, and therapy work. Your deck project sounds wonderful.

Judy, great job with Peloton ride, Restorative Yoga, walking, and Boss Bands Total Body. The mall is great way to get out of the weather for your walk.

Diane Sue, great job with Caroline Jordan Osteoporosis workouts, LMR Total Body upper, and mobility and stretching from your book. That book sounds interesting. I like things that explain movements and reasoning behind what they recommend.

Cathy, I’m glad that you were able to visit your parents and cheer up your mom.

Have a nice day and try to stay warm!

Today I did 40 minutes of Peloton strength and mobility work.

Diane Sue-Great job with the Caroline Jordan Osteoporosis workouts, LMR Total Body Timesaver upper and core and the mobility & stretch moves from the book.

Valerie-Great job with your walking and therapy work.

Cathy-Great job with the upper body premix of Boss Loops. That’s good that you were able to cheer up your mom.

Carolyn-Great job with LMR Functional Lower Body. We have 2 malls close to us that open early for walkers and it’s nice going before the stores open.

DH and i mt biked the neighborhood late this morning. weather has been pretty dismal lately and is supposed to basically rain for the next week. there will be flooding. so it mostly stopped raining so we went for a mt bike ride for 40 minutes. turned out dry all afternoon. not the forecast but they've been spot on most of the time.

we are really happy with the deck. its nice to think we don't have to stain it regularly. the railings are black metal with a layer on top called a drink rail. so glad we did this. the upper deck wont be done for a while but this is the main area and by far the largest. real estate prices are crazy here and eventually we will have to downsize. we needed to improve the deck for that, and wanted to enjoy it ourselves for a few years.

Today I did The warm up mobility moves from the Book Built from Broken I have been going through. I downloaded the work sheets and saved the video clip moves. I didn't remember to turn on my Garmin for this. I then did CDorner Basic Step from 2 days ago 45 minutes, 273 calories, 4002 steps, heart rate 128/155. I followed with Jessica Valant Knee pain, Full Body Pilates for 17 minutes( I thought I started knee strength which was the video after pilates) stopped when I wondered how what I was doing helped knees, and went to the knee strength that was only about 12 minutes. The time spent for this was 39 minutes. Total time 84 minutes, 71 calories. Total time was 84 minutes, 344 calories.
