Yesterday I did a 45 minute Peloton Outdoor walk. We've been having beautiful weather and it looks like it will be nice for most of the coming week too.

Carolyn-Great job with your yoga/mobility work.

Hi to Cathy, Valerie & Diane Sue

I got back last night. The drives to Derek's once I was out of Fort Worth went very smoothly. And I'll see how much it cost me in tolls, but I swung around OK City this time instead of going through it. Overall the trip went really well and I had a very enjoyable time. This morning Chester had an early vet appointment, but I did STS2 Mat Yoga when I got up and then ICE To the Mat when I got back home. Still have a few things to deal with, but spent several hours last night sorting things back out to their places and doing laundry.

Judy it was nice to come home to open windows yesterday after living in air conditioning and no open windows for 2 weeks. I'm definitely an open windows person.

This morning I did LiTE Cardio Party, 39 minutes, 244 calories burned, average heart rate 127, and maximum heart rate 161.

Judy, good job with the Peloton outdoor walk. Enjoy that nice weather. Our weather is mild but very humid.

Cathy, great job with STS 2 Mat Yoga and ICE To the Mat. It’s good that your drive went smoothly.

Hello to Valerie and Diane Sue.

I had an appointment this morning and didn’t get to work out. It didn’t take as long as I expected, but I had already missed my workout window of time.

Hello to all and have a wonderful day.

I have missed posting a lot. we've been busy, mostly hiking but on nice ride in the park. weather is lovely, cold at night and pleasantly warm during the day we are not seeing as many animals as we usually do. bison and elk seem scarce and usually late may and early june is ideal time to see lots. bison calve in april and may and we have not seen a single baby. elk look healthy but weve only seen a very few. it was a mild winter and no one has answered why there are so few around. weve seen more pronghorns than usual and saw several with newborns today. the moms stashed the babies in the sagebrush and then tried to tempt us away by coming close. we would never try to approach a newborn intentionally. anyway, its been a really nice trip so far and we arent sure how many more days we will stay. probably 2-3.

Today I did JS 30 Minute Fat Blaster, 30 minutes, 171 calories burned, average heart rate 119, and maximum heart rate 158.

Valerie, I’m glad that you were able to check in and to know that you’re having a wonderful trip. It sounds like it’s been very enjoyable.

Hello to Judy, Cathy, and Diane Sue.

Monday I did a 20-minute Peloton Outdoor Walk-Run and 30 minutes of stretching and PT work. Yesterday I did a 30-minute Peloton Power Zone ride and 35 minutes of easier riding watching YouTube. After that I did a 30-minute Restorative Yoga class. Today I did a 30-minute Peloton Outdoor Walk.

Cathy-Great job with STS2 Mat Yoga and ICE To the Mat. It’s definitely open windows weather here too. It feels nice to be able to do that after the long winter we had.

Carolyn- Great job with LiTE Cardio Party and JS 30 Minute Fat Blaster.

Valerie-I’m glad you are having a nice trip. Great job with the hiking and the ride.

Hi to Diane Sue

we did a mt bike this morning after the hard hike yesterday so are heading back Thursday. we would need to take a rest day anyway and weather is too hot this weekend so its time. the ride this morning was lovely but kinda hard. we didnt do it last year because of DH's knee surgery so its been 2 years. meanwhile the state has cleaned up some big problems on the road. a fault line had slipped leaving a weird ledge that bikes had to be lifted up over and that blocked other vehicles, , and a steam had washed out part of the road. it was all fixed. this is a 4 WD road/trail. its in better shape now than ive ever seen it. there's a historic cabin back there that Sam Peckinpah ( movie director, Wild Bunch) used to use that is still there. most people just use it as hunting access. anyway its a fun ride and pretty. we might take 2 days to get back to avoid commute traffic. especially awful in a big camper vehicle.

Yesterday I did Live Metabolic Med Ball and today I went and walked at the zoo. Tomorrow is shopping and I have two appointments. Going to try and leave early enough to get to WF at 8:00, and then a quick in and out at TJ's before my first appointment. It'll make the rest of the day much easier.

Derek did another TV segment while I was there: https://www.kxnet.com/studio701/zoo-news/dall-sheep-debut-dakota-zoo-introduces-new-lamb/ He did two last year, but now the day they do it is one of his "weekend" days. It was Memorial Day that Monday, so he got asked to do it.

Nick got accepted to DesMoines University yesterday, so he's accepting that and he'll drop the one that he had accepted previously. He's still holding out a bit for Central MI which is driving me nuts, but It's his decision.

Valerie Derek is thinking that his bison are not pregnant this year. It would be late for them, and honestly, I didn't think either of them looked pregnant. We didn't see any pronghorns in the national park, apparently they don't spend much time there, but we saw a few on the drive there. You've had some good hikes/rides and I hope you have smooth travels back to WA.

cathy there is a lot of construction going on to replace bridges and roads lost in the flooding years ago. not sure that explains anything for sure but been tough year. once thru was enough. we saw some bison, it was not the numbers we are used to seeing, and not a single calf. they arrive in April and may and are orange red in color so very obvious. . the elk were almost totally absent. our house usually has many hundred and there were none this year. very odd. we were only at one end of the park though but this was very different from usual. Hope the choices work out for Nick.

This morning I did P30 Perfect Pump Upper Body, 37 minutes, 114 calories burned, average heart rate 108, and maximum heart rate 133.

Judy, great job with the Peloton outdoor walk-runs, stretching, PT work, Peloton ride, and restorative yoga. It’s good that you’re able to get outside for your walks.

Cathy, great job with Live Metabolic Med Ball and walking at the zoo. It’s good that Derek is getting to do the television segments.

Valerie, nice job with the mountain biking. There is a lot of road work going on here too.

Hello to Diane Sue.

Today I did Ellen Barrett’s 15 Minute Quick Cardio, 15 minutes, 94 calories burned, average heart rate 129, maximum heart rate 160. Then I did STS 2.0 Chair Yoga for 21 minutes.

Apparently today is national donut day. They were giving away free samples from the in-store bakery when I stopped at the grocery store this morning. Fortunately for me I don’t like donuts! They did look good and they were fresh.

Waving hello to everyone. Have a great day.

Yesterday I had a crazy busy day and had to leave before 7:30 so no workout. This morning I did 4DS High Intensity Step and Restorative Yoga. Then I went to my parents. My sister is home for the weekend as there is a memorial for our great aunt tomorrow. We are trying to get our Dad to understand that he has to change POA's and give us more info about there finances etc in case something happens to him, but it's rough going. If something happens to him Mom has his POA and she is not at all competent to deal with anything. Ugh

We drove home yesterday and did it in one long day. its harder with the camper . traffic got very bad in the last section even though we delayed our leave time long enough to avoid the main rush hour. still some folks crashed and it backed everything ip and added an hour on to the already long day. I am so tired today!. we got all unloaded last night and i got Puss picked up this morning along with our held mail. no groceries yet. luckily we still have a good enough supply . I did my stretches twice and will do a third time shortly.

gosh Cathy thats a tough one to sort. clearly one of the kids should have POA for both of them. you dont want to be totally in the dark about making health care decisions or where the money and important papers are stored. From what you've said about your mother, no way can she be responsible. what if they are in a car accident and both are injured? it will be a lot simpler if someone has the legal authority to make decisions even if its arrived at by committee. even young perfectly healthy people can have bad sudden things happen. for older people the likelihood goes up.

i have not even seen a donut in decades. i used to love donuts but probably havent eaten one since 1975.

i am so tired i cant think straight today and am purposely not doing anything challenging.

Yesterday I did Live #596 Upper Body Power Sculpt Express. It was 36 minutes long and a nice combination of upper body and core work. Today I did a 20-minute Peloton Outdoor Walk and 20 minutes of PT work.

Cathy-Great job with Live Metabolic Med Ball, walking at the zoo and 4DS High Intensity Step and Restorative Yoga. Nice that Derek gets to do the TV segments again. That’s really tough dealing with POA issues with your parents.

Valerie-Great job with the mountain biking and stretches.

Carolyn-Great job with P30 Perfect Pump Upper Body, Ellen Barrett’s 15 Minute Quick Cardio and STS 2.0 Chair Yoga.

Hi to Diane Sue

This morning I did STS2 Body Parts Back and Biceps no repeats.

Valerie I'm glad you made it home safely. Other than going through Dallas/Fort Worth I had really good drives and I was very happy about that. Hopefully that streak continues when I go to help Nick move. Yesterday on I-94 coming back from my parents I had one of those annoying things where traffic comes to a standstill, bumper to bumper. After a couple miles we get back up to 60 and then slow down again. What was it? About 8 miles from where we first got stopped there was disabled semi, completely off the road, with a cop sitting behind it with its red lights on. So, everyone was slowing down thinking it was an accident.

Carolyn I haven't had a donut in a long time, and of that type of thing, donuts were never my first choice.
