Pentagenarians & Beyond: March 15, 2026

Wednesday I did a 30-minute treadmill walk and a 20-minute Peloton Full Body Strength workout. Yesterday I did a 10-minute row, 45 minutes of very light Peloton rides and 15 minutes of stretching. Today I walked outside for about 30 minutes.

Diane Sue-Great job with Cathe Live #478 Low Impact Hiit with Active Recovery, Elevated Balance Fusion and Senior Shape Mobility Stretch. I agree about the floor work, it is hard on my wrists and I try to minimize it.

Carolyn-Great job with KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix, workout one, LMR 2 Elevated Lower Body, no high step and LMR 2 Low Impact Cardio Fusion.

Cathy-Great job with STS 2 Upper Body 2, One set premix and the combo of the LMR2 Hiit and Cardio Fusion workouts. That sounds like a good combo. We got up to 70 today. It was wonderful!

Valerie-Great job with your therapy work, stacked upper body, treadmill work and spinning.
 
Carolyn, nice work on Wednesday's KCM Cardio Quick Fix, yesterday's LMR Elevated Lower Body no high step, and today's LMR 2 Elevated Low Impact Cardio Fusion. I am having a hard time dealing with hands and my left knee right now. Moving so fast on those floor moves just do not work with my knees or wrists. All of the burpees in the kickboxing had to be doing the squat option.

Cathy, good job on STS 2 Upper Body 2 one set premix, and LMR2 Hiit and Cardio fusion favorite moves followed by the core work at the end. My legs are sore, but I think it is from climbing the hill multiple times and then climbing up and down stairs a lot. We were near 90 today. a few days ago it was freezing. The pool guy came out to open the pool up.

Valerie, nice work on stacked sets upper body and therapy and today's 20 minute treadmill hill climb and 20 minutes on the spin bike. I keep the overhead presses lower weights. On PHA when Cathe does Arnold press I just did overhead press. It did not feel right in my shoulder doing Arnold press.

This morning I did STS 2 Chair Yoga. I was feeling very tight and the yoga helped.

Valerie, great job with spinning and walking on the treadmill.

Judy, good job with walking on the treadmill, Peloton Strength, rowing, Peloton rides, stretching, and walking outside.

Diane, I totally understand about movements that hurt your hand and knee. Modifying and working around them is the way to go.

Today I did IMAX 4 combos with the Blizzard Blasts from Low Impact Sweat. Then I went to my parents.

Carolyn I never use a band on the floor like Cathe does from cardio moves. I've never really seen the point, as I don't think it's necessary.

Valerie fortunately none of ours are into eating anything off the floor that they find.

Wow Diane Sue you are able to open pools already. Though I know that Nick is back up in the 90's, too. 96 there today. That's WAY too hot.

Judy great that you got outside to enjoy the nice weather! We had the windows open a bit, too, though it's cooled off to do that today.
 
we were able to do our park walk this morning. first dry morning in a while, though the trail was very muddy. tomorrow will probably be dry too. maybe a ride depending on whether its too cold in the morning. forecast says 36 too cold to ride happily.

its just the way things are as you get older. body parts can hurt and you just need to work around them,, most of the time it will go away by itself. not as fast as you want, but eventually.
