Valerie, that’s too bad about your husband’s need for extensive dental work.

Hello to Diane Sue and Judy.

Carolyn-Great job with P30 Perfect Pump Upper Body, Cardio Quick Fix and KCM’s Power Splits, workout two lower body. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family this week.

Shannon-Great job with the X10 premix and your own yoga routine.

Cathy-Great job with Live Metabolic Mix Up, Live Standing Weight Plates, Restorative Yoga and IMAX 4.

Valerie-I’m sorry about your husband’s dental problems. I hope the work goes smoothly and that he recovers quickly.

Hi to Diane Sue

Good morning, ladies, and Happy Friday the 13th! :) Yesterday I did Perfect Pump, Lower and Upper combined premix, followed by RWH Core #2 (no equipment). I didn’t stretch afterwards, and I should have. I have a bad habit of not stretching after weights, but I will cool down after cardio.

I think Mother Nature conspires against me. It was raining lightly when I took Sara out first thing this morning. We got out into the yard and a downpour hit. Sara won’t take care of business in the rain, so we ran back in. Of course the poor little thing was soaked. Lo and behold, the downpour turned off like a faucet when we got inside.

Cathy – Good work with Imax 4. And good news that the zoo path will be open soon. I’m glad your dentist appointment went well. I have a fabulous hygienist, and I refuse to have another one. Once she was on vacation, and they reassigned me to another lady. She was AWFUL. I can’t even begin to describe the agony she caused me. I was shaking by the time it was over, and was still shaking when I pulled into the grocery store parking lot afterwards. That woman needs to be fired.

Valerie – I’m glad the root canal went okay, as well as something like that can go, right? Take good care of DH! We didn’t have AC in our autos or house when we lived in CA. And when we moved to Arkansas (1978), we drove clear across the desert without it. But let me tell you, we didn’t waste any time getting AC in Arkansas.

Carolyn – Great job with Cardio Quick Fix and Power Splits. I’m glad you and the family are having a nice time!

Judy – You’re killing it on the workouts. Great job! I’m back to thinking about getting a spin bike, or maybe a treadmill. I don’t know.

Hi to Diane.

I was awake for awhile during the night and reset my alarm and 40 minutes before it was to go off, Chester decided to come and stroll around meowing VERY loudly. So, I ended up doing Live Stretch and Flow which is 40 minutes and very thorough. First time I'd done it and definitely adding it

Valerie I'm glad the root canal went okay. Hopefully all the rest of what he needs does, too.

Shannon a bad hygienist was the final straw on the camels back for me at my old dentist. I was already fed up with the way their office behaved. I have my lower jaw numbed and the next day my mouth was so sore, something I'd never have happen before and I sweat the she chipped off part of the back of a front tooth between cleaning and flossing it, so then I needed a filling. I like my dentist, but the rest of the staff was awful after my old hygienist retired. My new dentist has a very small office with 5-6 people and they are all great!

DH and I have had a long standing disagreement on deleting things on our phones. we share an email address, so call records get deleted from one phone delete from both, even though different numbers. I want to keep some calls under recent calls to remember who called and when. he deletes everything as soon as possible. we have argued about this a lot! he might back off a little but pretty soon goes back to deleting everything. he does this with emails too, double deleting the trash, junk, removing any record of anything. it makes me furious. we dont get that many phone calls, its not like hundreds of things. if there were 10 recent calls listed, that would be a lot. yesterday he got a call on my phone. i handed it to him and went on with making dinner. now he cant remember who it was and what they wanted. he had deleted all records of whatever it was. now Im catching flak for "not being supportive" . i looked everywhere but although its easy to retrieve pictures and texts, it doesn't work with call records. in a way I'm hoping this teaches him a lesson. he was medicated a lot yesterday for the root canal so that can affect memory. its helpful to keep a limited record and I resent losing this. its a useful tool and its not available because hes all worried about it the record of a call taking up space.
so done with rant for the day.

didnt do much yesterday except garden work for a while in the afternoon.

cathy you are so right about the importance of the hygienist. unless you need something fixed, you spend more time with her than the dentist. they can make the experience pleasant or unpleasant. weve had mostly good experiences until now. the last dentist seemed to have a very fast staff turnover, and we were concerned about that too, and had planned to move to another place before all this happened.
my first cars didnt have AC but traffic was nothing like it is now either. i cant imagine a car without it now.

Today I did JS HiiT Walk for 30 minutes and 210 calories burned. Average heart rate 133 and maximum heart rate 159.

Judy, great job with the Peloton rides, Peloton core, restorative yoga, and upper/lower body strength.

Shannon, great job with Perfect Pump Upper and Lower Body premix.

Cathy, nice job with Live Stretch and Flow.

Hello to Valerie and Diane Sue.

Things have been busy. I was coughing really hard and felt something like a snap in my back and had a lot of pain. I called the doctor and they cancelled my follow up appointment and sent me for a thoracic and a lumbar mri to see if I fractured something else. I did that Wednesday. Today I read the results and doctors comments. I have not heard from his office though. I did not fracture anything and thoracic is and everything is fine. The report on the lumbar is not so good. No fractures there either. Just lots of degenerative stuff some saying severe, spinal stenosis, narrowing, spondylolisthesis. I think I need to look up all of those things. Pain is improving, but trying to sleep on my back and finding it comfortable is impossible. I think the costochondritis flared up and my ribs hurt again. Maybe partly from coughing. I still have not started the arthritis med. He said to wait a week or two after the procedure. (my arthritis dr said it)

Valerie, I remember some miserable trips across the US in cars without air. Then one we had an air unit in the front seat that would freeze up and not work. Flying down the road with the windows open. What a joy.
I need to get my husband an appointment with the dentist. They keep texting me reminding me he has not been in. Working with his work nights sleep days is difficult.

Cathy, nice work on I Max 4 before shopping. That reminds me I have my teeth cleaning and check coming up next month. I think it makes a difference in feel when you go to a warmer state than where you live. I have a friend that moved from Wisconsin to Scottsdale Arizona and it took her some time to adjust. Other friends from Wisconsin always about froze me to death sitting in their house when visiting. They kept it cold.

Shannon, good for you figuring out your own yoga routine. I rather like the ones that have a bit more movement as long as I am not spending it on my hands for long periods. I will be glad when I can get some good stretching in and stuff. I feel like I have been over working the sit up straight as I can no twisting or movement. I told my husband I am probably tightening up everything trying not to move too much.

Carolyn, I hope you are having a nice time with your daughter and her family.

Good morning, ladies. I had to break my rule about no computers on weekends for a little personal stuff, so I decided to hop on the forum and say hi. Yesterday my schedule said I was supposed to do Ilaria’s Bodystrikes 3. I made it through the warmup and decided I just couldn’t handle it. I was already bored silly with it. So I switched to Low Impact Sweat. Much better. I suspect I am going to take the Bodystrikes workouts out of my rotation.

Cathy – Good old Chester, huh? But I’m glad you found a new, good stretch routine. See, Chester did you a favor, LOL.

Valerie – I suspect I’m much like your DH when it comes to phones. I wipe my messages, etc. clean on a regular basis. Is there any way you can get separate accounts so he won’t mess up your phone? It’s really not fair that you can’t maintain yours the way you want to.

Carolyn – Good work with JS HiiT Walk.

Diane – Your poor back! My dad has tons of problems with his back, including stenosis. It’s a narrowing of the spaces in the vertebrae, and it is painful and limits movement. I just googled spondylolisthesis, and it doesn’t sound good at all. I’m so very sorry you have so many degenerative problems with your back. When you talk to your doctor, you might ask him if some sort of a brace will help you to prevent twisting and stuff, so you don’t tense up so much. Maybe there is one that will offer support, but that isn’t super-stiff like the one my mom wore.

Hello, to Judy.

Okay, I’m outta here. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Just finished Live Metabolic Mania. A few variations to moves in that one that I haven't seen before. The sun has finally shown up. It was one of those dreary cloudy days yesterday. Nick is taking the MCAT today. Hopefully it all goes well and he gets a good enough score so he can start applying to med schools.

Valerie what your husband does with the data would drive me nuts. Have you never found a way to separate your phone numbers from doing that. DH now uses what was originally our joint email account, but I've had my own for years that he can't access. And on the desktop, which I rarely use, he uses Chrome and I use Safari, so if I want to use it, my stuff is available.

Diane Sue the situation with your back sounds like it's so frustrating for you. There's always the do I do this and will it help or hinder and with multiple things going on with it, it's so much more challenging.

I agree its easy to get too much clutter . texts to each phone work and stay separate. ive read about the problem but have not found a solution except splitting email into two addresses. .
any incoming call to either phone shows up in the "recent call" list as do VMs. junk I delete immediately but sometimes I keep a reminder to follow up or as a record of when i talked to someone. (safari on phones and Edge on desktops)
he never remembered who it was he talked to. a record of the call would have been useful. I want to keep a record of when i last talked to my sister. i would not keep her lengthy vms. haven't heard from her in 6 weeks but not sure because the call record is gone. I get aggressive about it and then he goes back to the old playbook as soon as I dont make a big deal out of it.
we had a disagreement about check deposits/withdrawals on email. he was deleting them before I saw them. i do the checkbooks. its kinda necessary to records those things! or notice if something doesnt happen when it should. he is leaving those alone now. small victory. its this bizarre compulsion to "clean things up" and "save space".

cathy good luck to your son on the MCAT. and yes, it drives me nuts!!

diane sue im sorry your back is giving you such grief. getting old is not fun. i forgot if i suggested this before. the Salon pas lidocaine patches. i use a few a week. they help a lot. you can put one on at night to help discomfort while you sleep too. have a velcro back brace that is "preventive" for me. . i use it to prevent problems. like if Im out working in the garden all afternoon, if I wear the brace it keeps me from getting as sore and tired. it helps lumbar not sure about helping further up the spine in the thoracic area. everything is connected so a lumbar support might still be helpful. . it doesnt cure or fix anything, but it helps support my low back. OTC one thru Amazon. i hope you dont need surgery because thats a hard choice. . it was tough but it keeps my vertebra in place. im not stiff and have good ROM, easily touch the ground with hands flat, but i dont do fast twisting movements anymore.

we rode trail this morning, 15 miles. terrible what happened in Minnesota.

Today is my rest day. It was wonderful to see my daughter and her family alt it was a very short visit. My 16 year old granddaughter is leaving to spend the summer with her other grandmother in Rhode Island and work at a restaurant on the beach there. She did the same last summer.

Diane Sue, I’m sorry that you are having such pain.

Shannon, nice job with Low Impact Sweat.

Cathy, nice work with Live Metabolic Mania. I hope that Nick does well on the MCAT.

Valerie, nice job with the ride. Those shootings in Minnesota are just awful.
