Pentagenarians & Beyond: June 21, 2026

Today I did Jane Adams Gentle Yoga for 18 minutes. Yesterday was a rest day.

Cathy, great job with Live Ready Set Step and STS 2 Upper Body 1.

Judy, nice job with your Peloton rides, Arms & Light Weights, rowing, and restorative yoga.

Valerie, I’ve never had green papaya salad. I looked it up and it sounds like something I would like.

Yesterday later I did half of Stacked Upper Body after doing 3 sessions of stretches and ab work. this morning we rode a road ride, for about 25 miles. took us 2 hrs and 25 minutes. its one of few we ride these days. one of the difficult spots on the ride is across a large bridge over a big river. its being painted over the next 6 months. the traffic restrictions and redirection made it easier for biking. lovely out but I am pooped.

carolyn our friends are big travelers and WAY more adventurous eaters. I can be easily talked into trying new things, but DH takes work.! the salad was not hot at all but very tasty so somewhere they find papayas. Ive heard of this salad before but somehow papayas that used to be common are never seen in stores anymore, at least here. I dont eat red meat and not all seafood. asian food is a good match for me. i also love hot/spicy. I hope you get a chance to try the salad. the dessert was a half mango with sticky rice and coconut sauce. the rice was a pale blueish color (?) and was warm, with the cold mango. it was delicious. the temperature difference enhanced it. just right to split into 4 small servings. we didnt have spring rolls which I love but we definitely had plenty to eat.

This morning I did Jessica Smith’s Stride and Step, 31 minutes, 174 calories burned, average heart rate 115, and maximum heart rate 148.

Yesterday I did Restorative Yoga, the newest live Get Looped Lower Body, which I loved, and LMR2 Core. Today I did LMR2 Cardio Combo, two of the cardio’s put together and I pulled out the standing core work and put it all at the end, PP Upper Body and finished with Mat Yoga.

Valerie I like spring rolls. When we were at the Dallas Aquarium I had some that came with a peanut sauce and a ginger based sauce that were really good.
 
Yesterday I did 45 minutes of Yin Yoga. Today I did a 45-minute Peloton Ride and Live #598 Get Looped Lower Body.

Cathy-Great job with Restorative Yoga, Get Looped Lower Body, LMR Core 2, LMR 2 Cardio Combo, standing core work, PP Upper Body and Mat Yoga. I loved the Get Looped workout too. I will be doing this one regularly.

I didn’t get to work out today. A plumber was here to replace a toilet and some other work. I’m glad to have it completed.

Today I did KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix, workout one. That was 26 minutes, 155 calories burned, average heart rate 120, and maximum heart rate 156.

Yesterday was an active rest day. I did some PT work and got caught up on vacuuming and house cleaning. Today I did a 30-minute Peloton Ride and 10 minutes of rowing.

Today I did Strong and Sweaty Total Body Giant Sets, timesaver 5. That was 45 miles, 151 calories burned, average heart rate 110, and maximum heart rate 139.

Valerie, nice job with PT, stretching, and your regular ride for 15 miles.

we did our fairly regular park walk this morning for hour 20 minutes. one set of stretches and ab work so far with more later. its been very warm here but changed to normal cooler weather today and we next will get some rain. not complaining, gardens are dry and we need it.
 
Yesterday I walked at the zoo and went to my parents. Today I did IMAX 4, ICE Metbolic Total Body and P30 stretch. We’re starting to get warmer here after all our lovely 70ish temps. Not a fan. And I can see ahead to when I go help Nick move and it’s going to be 100 every day that week there. He moves in heat and Derek’s last two have been December in ND. They need to split the difference.
 
Today I did Live #350, Hip Hip Hooray It’s PHA! and a 10 minute Peloton Core workout.

Carolyn-Great job with Strong and Sweaty Total Body Giant Sets, timesaver 5. That is a series I need to revisit. I loved it when it first came out.

Valerie-Great job with your walk, stretches and ab work.

Cathy-Great job with the zoo walk, IMAX 4, ICE Metabolic Total Body and P30 stretch. It is going to be very hot here next week. I agree, 70’s is really nice. 90 and above is a bit too hot.

This morning I did ICE Low Impact Sweat workout one, 30 minutes, 150 calories burned, average heart rate 117, and maximum heart rate 141.

Valerie, great job with the park walk for an hour and 20 minutes, stretches, and abs. Our weather is just the opposite. It has been mild but is about to get very hot.
