Pentagenarians & Beyond: June 14, 2026

Yesterday I did a 30-minute Peloton Ride and 20 minutes of Arms & Light Weights. Today I did a 15-minute row, a 30-minute Peloton Ride and 45 minutes of restorative yoga.

Valerie-Thank you, I felt much better yesterday and today. Great job with your mountain bike ride. It’s been a while but we used to go to a Thai restaurant in Dearborn that was very good.

We have a large number of various Asian restaurants here because of the population. using fresh authentic ingredients is key. I loved the green papaya salad but in my lifetime Ive never seen a green papaya in a store! any papaya at all is rare for years and this is the west which is closer to papaya sources. what happens is the best cooks can move from place to place so a good restaurant in June might not be in September. Weve eaten at this place several times now and its always been good. pad Thai is probably the standard easy thing to order but some places make it way too sweet.

another thing that has happened is the meshing of lunch and dinner. lunch menus with smaller servings and smaller prices seem to have disappeared around here. everything is the same price all the time, which is the previous dinner price. I woud rather eat out at lunch but it used to be a bargain. not anymore.
