This morning I did Jane Adams Gentle Yoga for 18 minutes.

Cathy, I’m glad that the air quality is getting better. I hope that your trip goes well.

Valerie, it’s good that you were able to hike in the park with your family. im Sorry about your hip pain.

Hello to Judy and Diane Sue.

Thursday, I did a 45-minute Peloton Full Body strength workout. Friday was a rest day. Yesterday I did a 30 minute Peloton Interval ride and 15 minutes of pt and core work. Today I did a 30 minute Peloton Zone 2 ride.

Carolyn-Great job with Jane Adams Gentle Yoga.

Cathy-Great job with your Yoga/Mobility workout. I hope you have a good trip.

Valerie-Great job with your hike. I'm sorry about your hip.

Hi to Diane Sue

did another 3 hour hike today. this is along the shore but a lot of up and down and yes, my poor hip is not happy. it distracts me from my back. i am starting to sound like a whining crank but thi is not sore muscles. hopefully something fixable if it can be identified. i am sure there is something amiss here so hopefully find out more information between monday and tuesday morning.

am i not paying attention..... what has happened to diane sue? she and her DH were selling and then buying another house if I remember right. but its been a while now did I overlook something?.

This morning I did Rev’d Up Rumble, 41 minutes, 220 calories burned, average heart rate 126, maximum heart rate 172.

Judy, great job with Peloton Full Body Strength, Peloton Interval ride, Peloton Zone ride, PT and Core work.

Valerie, great job with the 3 hour hike. Hopefully you will get some answers about your hip. I’m not sure what happened to Diane Sue. She hasn’t posted on the thread in a while.

Hello to Cathy.

I went to PT today and explained about the hip issues. she had me do a bunch of specific exercises, a lot of them , and one in particular made it hurt. a simple move . i got more sore as the day went on and ended up with an ice pack on and sitting most of the day. Our guests left this morning at 2 am to get to the airport early. we had a intense and frantic visit with them.
I had already asked for an xray of the hip but it was not ordered. until i got a call late today from the doctors office saying it was ordered, maybe they were on vacation last week. . called the testing facility and found out they " don't take orders from outside doctors" anymore. I see him tomorrow so will maybe find out who will do the simple procedure and maybe will try for a CT instead. its crazy crazy. insurance covers it and i had similar tests done at this clinic last year. apparently a new policy. most but not all of my docs belong to this clinic and this always worked seamlessly before . i dont understand why they would turn down getting paid for a procedure they do every day .

Yesterday I did a 30-minute indoor Peloton Walk and a 15 minute Peloton Mobility workout. Today is a rest day.

Valerie-Great job with your 3-hour hike. I hope you can get some imaging done on your hip. I had an X-ray on mine in February and it didn’t show anything significant. I have a follow up appointment in December and if it isn’t much better by then I’ll probably get an ultrasound or MRI. I think mine is some kind of gluteal and/or high hamstring tendinopathy based on my own research of my symptoms. It was getting much better, then I tried running a couple of weeks ago and that caused most of my symptoms to return.

Carolyn-Great job with Rev’d Up Rumble.

Hi to Cathy

Today was a yoga day. I did Jane Adams All Standing Poses Traditional and Flow, then I did STS 2 Chair Yoga. Total time was 44 minutes.

Judy, nice job with the Peloton Walk and Peloton Mobility.

Valerie, I agree with you about insurance coverage. You think that something is set to go then you are told that you can’t use your selected provider because they are out of network. It can be very frustrating.

Hello to Cathy and Diane Sue.

carolyn its crazy!. i used this doctor who is part of the group who did my back surgery for labs late last year and all was fine . i didnt change anything. the group who i use for most things just decided not to acknowledge orders from outside their group. I'm medicare plus supplement. now we have do at least an extra appt after i find out where i can get a silly plain old xray that will take an order from him. its a major group not some off the wall whacko. grrrr!!
the problem is most likely due to irritation of some nerves connected to the L5 the lumbar vertebra at bottom of my fusion. its a common place to develop irritation. it is unlikely to be my hip joint disintegrating which is what i was most worried about. it was irritated and then i did a lot of PT exercises to pinpoint i where the problem was and it got irritated further. doesnt make it feel any better however.
