Pentagenarians & Beyond: December 7, 2025

Today I did a warmup from Jessica Smith then I did LMR Low Impact Cardio bonus. That was 27 minutes, 118 calories burned, average heart rate 132, and maximum heart rate 151. I finished up with Step Boss Extended Chair Stretch for an additional 16 minutes.

Diane Sue, great job with parts of CDorner workouts, LMR Functional Mobility warmup plus Low Impact Cardio bonus, and Jessica Valant stretching. That’s funny about Li’l John and hip hop music. I know who he is, but I don’t know his music.

We did our local park walk this morning. 1 hr 20 minutes. it isnt raining right now, misting a little. lots of debris in the water. lots of flooded areas. we can go to this area without getting into any problem roads. the mountains are a long distance away, so it takes a while for the rainwater to work its way down. several places were getting their highest levels this afternoon. then we will be seeing more rain. we are hoping it gets colder so we can start accumulating a snow pack. i am being careful what I wish for.

i have two balance cushions. they are Prosource as is my yoga mat. the cushions stay at whatever they are inflated to. we have not had to adjust them or refill them and we use them a lot. Dh uses them for balance practices as I do.

is that not a great indicator of age? knowing who is currently making popular music. i have no clue who Li'l John is. i know some names from doing crossword puzzles but have not heard their music. I only know the name Bad Bunny because of the fuss about him getting the Superbowl contract.
 
Yesterday was a rest day. Today I walked a little over 2 miles with my husband and did a 20-minute Peloton Upper Body strength workout. I've been dealing with some low back and sciatica issues so I've had to back off on lower body workouts a little. I'm going to be seeing a PT on the 22nd and hopefully they can help.

Valerie-Great job with your park walk. I know exactly what you mean about current music. If it wasn’t for Peloton, I wouldn’t know any of the current artists. I probably stopped following current music around 2005-2006. The thing that really got me was hearing the young people at Home Depot talking about “old” music and they were talking about something from 2012. That’s still new music to me, lol!
