I am so very sorry for your loss Carolyn. You have been through so much this year. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Sunday I did a 2 mile walk and Live Weight Plate Abs. Yesterday was a rest day and today I did a Peloton Recovery Ride.

Carolyn-I'm thinking of you and sending you hugs

Hi to Valerie, Cathy & Diane Sue

Carolyn please take as much time as you need off of posting. i am so sorry about this awful turn of events.

we did a tough mt bike on monday. a new one that turned out to just go uphill. . it was a long tough climb and too much debris on the road to race back down. a yard walk yesterday and today we walked the local park for an hour and 15.

Monday night right after I'd made supper, bye-bye power. We'd had about 1/2 an hour of heavy winds and just some light rain. Didn't get it back until mid morning yesterday. I'd tried to go to the zoo Tuesday morning, but they had limited power and were still clearing paths, so weren't letting people in at that point. Went on to my parents. Then yesterday they had moved out estimated restoration to 6:30 pm (the 5th estimate) and I headed back to my parents and got half way there when DH called to say the power was back. Ended up going to K'zoo and heading home after lunch. This morning I have to leave at 7:10 for a car appointment, so no workout again today.

Carolyn my thoughts are with you.

Hi Valerie, Judy and Diane Sue.

Yesterday I did #590 Fit Upper Body and Core Live Workout. I really liked this one and added it to my favorites. It is similar to the LMR and LMR2 upper body workouts.

Valerie-Great job with your uphill mountain bike ride. That sounds tough! Nice job with the walk too.

Cathy-I'm sorry about your power outage.

Thinking of you Carolyn

Hi to Diane Sue

Yesterday, I did LMR 2 Elevated Strength Lower Body, 53 minutes, 173 calories. I finished with Senior Shape Mobility Stretch 14 minutes, 50 calories. total time 67 minutes, 193 calories. I had a mammogram today so not work out.
I took my dog outside yesterday morning and spotted a long black snake near the pool under a tree. Harvey ran and stick his nose on its head. I called him into the house. Dog not the snake.
My granddaughter that is pregnant was in a bad car accident Saturday. Their car was totaled. They put her in the hospital and kept her overnight and did a contrast CT and checks on her an the baby. Her son and husband were okay. Her side of the car was so bad they could not get the door open. She has bruises, but thankfully is okay. They induced labor today since it is due the 11th, just in case the placenta may have been damaged. We are still waiting on the baby to come out.
Things have been so busy lately I do not get on here as much.

Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. I will be praying for you. My heart goes out to you.

Judy, nice work on 2 mile walk & Live Weight plates, and Peloton Recovery Ride yesterday. Good job on today's #590 Fit Upper Body and Core.

Valerie, nice job on the mountain bike ride and yard walk and Tuesday's Park walk.

we rode our regular trail this morning, and surprise, it was being partly resurfaced. it is asphalt but tree roots over time crack the asphalt after raising it into long ridges. got much worse last year, so bad that they sawed off the tops of some ridges so at least it was flat. this morning a bunch of trucks and a crew were scooping up the asphalt and laying down a new surface in the bad sections. there were no signs saying anything was closed so we rode thru some of the scraped areas and walked around others and did the whole 15 miles anyway. other times they have closed the trail during repairs but it wasnt closed so we worked around the problem section. I suspect that it should not have been done that way but we were several miles into the ride before we found there were issues.
I doubt we will repeat that last mt bike trip again. the road climbs for a long way beyond where we stopped and it wasnt that interesting. we will try another road this weekend. so many roads got washed out in december storms, there arent many repaired yet. a closed road is best to ride on as long as most of the road still exists and doesnt have huge washouts.
bummer on the power out Cathy. we have the biggest issues in fall and early winter. not much wind and rain in spring and summer here.
diane sue hope your grandaughter continues to do ok. what a scare.

Shopped yesterday and got Nick's brakes inspected, and MIDAS checks more than brakes. Everything was fine, and as long as I gave them a 5 star review they waived the $24.95 charge. Happy to do it. LOL This morning I did 4DS HIS cardio and LMR2 Balance Fusion. Reports are that some hummingbirds are back in MI, so I put out some food and we'll see if we get anything.

Valerie sounds like it's challenging to find a good place to ride right now. I hope what you try this weekend works better.

Diane Sue that's scary about your granddaughter's accident. I hope she and the baby are fine.

My thoughts are with you Carolyn.

Hi Judy.

we did another mt bike this morning. first drove to the great big road washout to see if it was possible to get around and if we actually wanted to do that. it is HUGE, a giant gaping hole. . supposedly about 130 feet across and 70 feet deep. the stream goes a long way back up the hill it came down gouging out land as it came down, so there is not a little walk, but a kinda long one pushing a bike up and downhill, over logs and boulders. we walked to where it crossed the creek which required a short wade. we didnt go down the other side. it's possible........ but we know what's on the other side and its nothing all that exciting. any actual trails are at least 10 miles each way with substantial climb besides. the road itself is asphalt and there are other problems like slides and other smaller washouts along the way. we decided "no" and drove to a road we usually ski during winter except this year there was no snow. we rode it for about 2 hrs an hour and a half uphill and about 30 min back downhill. a beautiful day out with lots of grouse booming and trilliums and violets blooming. a nice day in spite of it not going the way we planned. we are hoping the forest service might be able to fashion a work- around using existing logging roads that are not open to public use. im too old to likely ever get up this road again. so many memories of past hikes and our adventures on the PCT. the last time it washed out it took a more than a decade to get it patched and this much worse.

Today I did LMR Elevate Metabolic Strength workout, 43 minutes, 159 calories, 101/142 heart rate. I followed with Senior Shape with Lauren Kickboxing, 33 minutes, 199 calories, heart rate `16/`70. Total time 76 minutes, 358 calories. We went to see the new great grandbaby this afternoon. They should be going home this evening. They are anxious to be back at home with their 2 year old son again. He has stayed here the last two nights. So thankful they are okay. Seeing pictures of the car was shocking.

Valerie, good job on getting in your 15 mile ride with some walk arounds and today's ride.

Cathy, nice work on 4DS HIS Cardio and LMR Balance Fusion. I want to do the balance work. I may have room in our bedroom. I can only use my dvds in the room because the workout room does not have a TV in it.

Hi to Judy

Prayers for Carolyn, you are in my thoughts.

Today I did Gloved Up and Sweaty and Live Metabolic Mania. I had ordered a few more things from Cathe's sale and they are arriving today.

Valerie I'm glad you were able to find an alternate ride. That's a big hole!

Diane Sue, I use my 6' round mat for the balance workout, though there's no floor work in it. I'd say if you have 6' in one direction and 4' in the other it would be possible. The only move that takes up much space is the 2 walking moves and you could always turn and go the other way if the space wasn't there. I can do the walking moves on the mat, though I have small feet which helps.

Today's workout was Pilates Posture workout, 29minutes and Osteoporosis friendly abs 10 minutes. 39 minutes total 92 calories. That is, it for the day except for outside walking with my dog.

Cathy, I have about a 3 foot space facing the tv and 6 foot length. I have to use a mat because my husband put my glass desk mat under my desk I brought with me. Walking could be done up the short hall we have in our suite to the bath. I have Cathe's regular mat that is longer than my older ones. I did pilates and abs since family went for a run by the lake this morning so I had access to the workout room. I just picked something from youtube. I need to check the workouts I have on my external drive. I have Strong and Sweaty, Step Boss, Perfect 30, Fit Split, and Fit Tower downloads. My tablet has portions of those but I only downloaded workout I might use when traveling on my tablet.

Thursday I did a 60-minute Peloton ride. Yesterday I walked for 45 minutes and today I did a 45-minute Peloton ride.

Diane Sue-Great job with the LMR2 workouts, Senior Shape with Lauren Kickboxing, Pilates Posture workout and Osteoporosis friendly abs.

Valerie-Great job with your mountain bike rides.

Cathy-Great job with 4DS HIS cardio and LMR2 Balance Fusion, Gloved Up and Sweaty and Live Metabolic Mania.

I mostly took the day off today. did groceries, pet food shopping, some veggie planting and weeding. tomorrow we will do a longer road bike ride that we do every year except last year for the first time we missed it somehow. Dh's knee got injured and i think there was some road resurfacing going on so we couldn't use our normal route. Ive been doing 2 full sets of stretches and ab exercises every day since we got back. 3x some days. i sure got stiff and sore but it seems to be getting better finally.
