Pentagenarians & Beyond: 03/23/2025

I did XTRAIN Bis and Tris timesaver which was 26 minutes and 75 calories burned. I was very cautious and used lighter than usual weights with this workout. My bicep and tricep on my right arm are still bothering me off and on and I don’t want to make it worse.

Judy, great job with Peloton ride, Arms and Light Weights, Peloton Strength, and HiiT Row.

Diane Sue, great job with LMR Functional Lower Body, CDorner Mobility, CDorner vertical step, and LMR Pilates Fusion premix. Happy anniversary. We will celebrate our 55th next month.

Hello to Valerie, Cathy, and Shannon.

Today I did STS 2 Body Parts Biceps, 38 minutes, 136 calories, heart rate 103/136 followed by STS 2 Total Body Stretch, 23 minutes, 58 calories. Total time 61 minutes, 194 calories. We finally got the crate and put Harveys bed in it and were able to go out to dinner and drop off a package to UPS. It was easier than the smaller crate. It should get better over time. Most of our dogs were younger when we crate trained, and house broke them. Harvey doesn't need housebroken.

Carolyn, nice work on X Train Bis and Tris timesaver today. I did not go as heavy as usual today. I did not want to push things and got too heavy. I feel weaker and even lowering some was tough. Are you planning anything for your anniversary? My husband was going to set up a cabin, but then we had all of this problem with Gertie and her leg bleeding and needing care, and then we got Harvey and can't really leave him with someone else till he is trained well. We had a nice dinner at an Italian restaurant today that has a variety of good food. I got salmon with a mango sauce and asparagus. The side is orzo with a parmesan sauce.

Valerie, they always start warning about fires and safety when it is so windy and dry. I am always getting warnings on my phone about thunderstorms in 30 minutes and then we get none or a few sprinkles and that is it. I am sure most people sort of just expect it to not happen. I do not go out of the house without checking first.

Today I did a 45-minute Peloton ride, 10 minutes of Arms & Light Weights, a 10 minutes core workout and 20 minutes of foam rolling.

Diane Sue-Happy Anniversary! Great job with LMR Functional Lower Body, CDorner Mobility & vertical step, the LMR Pilates Fusion premix, STS 2 Body Parts Biceps and STS 2 Total Body Stretch. I’m glad the crate arrived. Hopefully it will work well for Harvey.

Carolyn-Great job with Xtrain Bis and Tris timesaver. It was a good idea to go lighter with your right arm still bothering you.

Hi to Valerie, Cathy & Shannon

Shopped yesterday, today I put together a yoga workout that was some of LMR Yoga Fusion and all of Restorative Yoga. We're finally going to touch 70 here today and it's rainy. My sisters area in NC is still under evaluation. There are emergency vehicles stationed by their neighbors and they continue to check. My sister talked to a firefighter through their doorbell and he was glad they were gone and to stay in FL. Neighbors got fined for going back for a few hours. The main fire hasn't moved much closer to them, but an ember set off a small fire behind their development, that has apparently been contained.

Diane Sue hopefully Harvey will settle in soon so that you can go places.

Valerie they are doing what they can to put in fire breaks, but you're right 5 miles is not far. Especially in an area with so much downed wood.

Hi ladies. I am able to take a deep breath. What a week. My boss is out of the office for the afternoon, so maybe I can get some of the work done that I'd originally planned to do, LOL. I have massive eye strain. I was already having problems and scheduled an eye appointment earlier than my regular annual exam. This week has not helped matters any. I am steering clear of computers this weekend, so maybe I'll see y'all next week. Sorry I'm not doing personals. I hope everyone is okay!

Today I did P 30 Low Impact HiiT and the Extended Stretch. That was 38 minutes and 206 calories burned. My average heart rate was 125 and maximum heart rate was 153.

I finally preordered the new series. I was undecided about it, but I do want the low impact cardio.

Diane Sue, great job with STS 2.0 Body Parts Biceps and Total Body Stretch. We don’t have anything special planned for our upcoming anniversary.

Judy, great job with 45 minute Peloton ride, 10 minutes of Arms and Light Weights,10 minutes of core, and 20 minutes of foam rolling.

Cathy, nice job with your yoga mix of LMR Yoga Fusion and Restorative Yoga. I hope that your sister’s home continues to be safe from the fires.

Hello to Shannon and Valerie.

yesterday did only therapy work. today I did 25 on the spin bike, then then the new upper body workout. cant think of the name of it. i had looked at it thinking it might be ok because its not that intense but too many moves took weight overhead so I havent done it in almost 2 months. did it today and seemed ok. Ive been doing curls and triceps work and countertop push ups so i havent been doing nothing.

Today I did STS 2 Body Parts Triceps, 41 minutes, 133 calories, heart rate 96/141. I followed with STS 2.0 Mobility #1 18 minutes, 49 calories, and CDorner Upper Body Mobility from her 30 day challenge, 11 minutes, 30 calories.

This morning I did an IMAX workout I put together and Live Legs: Strength and Stamina. That one is pretty fast paced and has both weighted and non weighted exercises. That one is Cathe's first live back from shoulder surgery, and she doesn't use any equipment. Does some of the movements, but is basically just instructing. My sister's area is still under evacuation orders. Yesterday helicopters were dropping water 2 miles from them trying to dampen the area. The fire has crossed into NC, but is going more south. That's not good because it's a far more populated area.

Yesterday I did 20 minutes of full body strength work in the morning and a 45-minute Peloton ride plus a 20-minute stretch in the afternoon. Today is a rest day and tomorrow I will be working. I probably won’t be around much for the next few days. I’ll try to check in later next week.

Cathy-Great job with your yoga mix, IMAX workout and Live Legs: Strength and Stamina.

Carolyn-Great job with P 30 Low Impact HiiT and the Extended Stretch. I’m looking forward to the new series. Having more low impact cardio options is always good.

Valerie-Great job with the therapy work, spin bike and the upper body workout.

Diane Sue-Great job with STS 2 Body Parts Triceps, STS 2.0 Mobility #1 and CDorner Upper Body Mobility.

Hi to Shannon

Today I did CDorner Cardio Fast Step #457, 61 minutes, 344 calories, heart rate 126/152, 5,735 steps. I finished with Raw Stretch Flow 20 minutes, 49 calories. I got 10,382 steps in today! Total time 81 minutes, 393 calories. We just had a hailstorm hit and it was loud. I was worried Harvey would be scared, but with all of the pounding he did not react other to come and check me out.

this morning I did Live Kick, Punch, Cardio and Lower Body Balance Discs and Foam Rolling. Stayed on the tight spots from my leg workout yesterday. Trying to figure out how much workout equipment I want to take with me on my trip. The fire south of my sisters is now 9% contained. It's a couple miles from then still and so far that fire break is holding.

Diane Sue that's great that Harvey wasn't bother by the hail sound. I've had dogs who had issues and having 80 lb dogs want to park themselves on your lap for hours isn't fun.
