Good evening ladies!
This morning was ruthless core and flex. I really like the core work in this one. Works you but does not drain you. No workout tonight. I worked late and my DS was here for a visit.
Deb...have a great trip! I think having 6 monday's off sounds devine!!!!!!!
Josie...wow... Your ride is just about here how exciting!
Lynda...I am in real need of a pedicure. My dh is working mothers day so perhaps this will be my treat. Being the GM there is no way he can have mothers day off. Restaurants are way too busy! Forgot you and Deb do not the high impact!

This morning I did Jazzercise Hiit (47:00)
Have a great trip, Deb, and good luck on the trials! The hotel we stayed in Boston (Copley Place Marriott) actually charged for internet access in your room and it was free in public places, but I never wanted to use my IPad in the lobby. It was a really expensive hotel, too, because of its location. Terribly slow elevators!
Lori, I can do some impact, but not those plyos for my knees. I substitute a boxer's shuffle for all of the jacks in RK too. Just enough impact. Yep, everybody goes out on Mother's Day. We will be too.
Finally, some mild weather here!

This morning I really did not workout. I was kind of stiff so I did some stretching and foam rolling. I felt really great afterwards and was just what I needed. Tonight I did my Flex Train combo with LL&A's minus the abs.
Lynda...thought of you while I was doing my plyo squats!
Well...my brother is back in the hospital. He called me yesterday and sounded terrible. I knew immediatley something was wrong. He has fluid build up somewhere near the surgery area that is causing him pain. Then today I get a text from my nephew that he is having surgery again. I have placed a couple of calls and have heard nothing. I know this generation is all about texting but in a case like this I think a phone call would be nice. Ridiculous.

No workout for me today. I'm going to go visit my mom and dad and take them out to lunch then shopping for mom. My youngest DB sent me a huge bouquet of tulips for Mother's Day along with a beautiful note saying that I have been a great example for him and a second mom to him. He made me cry. Tomorrow I have my last long ride of 77 miles with lots of hills, so Sunday I will probably be a couch potato

This morning I did not work out because our power went out at about 3 in the morning and didn't come back on until 10. Apparently due to a fire. A really large area with no power. We have a generator, but it doesn't work for the whole house and all of DH's meat freezers and his electric fencing.
Lori, that is so worrying about your brother. I really don't do much texting. Very hard for a retired English professor to mangle the language that way. Have you been able to speak with your brother's wife?
Deb, 10 dollars is cheap. At the Marriott, it was 12.95 per day. How are the trials going? Can you post any videos perchance?

Lori, I am not a fan of texting either. there are times it's useful but I seldom do it. a phone call is so much better.... or voicemail. especially when it's more complicated than confirming appts for example.
the pancreas is in the middle of everything.. much potential for problems. hope he gets adjusted properly and continues his recovery.
we did a lovely hike on wed. 10+ miles but I got pretty sore from it. DH thinks my boots are getting too worn and that may be true. I skipped working out (except for yoga) Thursday and will do something later today. most of the soreness is gone today.
hotels are getting just like airlines where they charge for anything they can get away with, and just about everyone would want Wi-Fi so almost a given most people will pay for it. I don't like using electronic devices in public places either.

Not sure what the workout plan will be today, thinking upper and lower weights with some barre.
So finally was able to speak with my nephew. Brother is still in hospital and hopes to be released today. They did laparoscopic (sp?) to clear out the infection that was discovered and inserted a drain. Hopefully he is on the mend. Poor guy. He has been through a lot this past year.
Josie...so nice of you DB. What a wonderful thing to do. Have a great ride today.
Valerie...I agree worn boots have no support and can throw everything off. Great hike!
Lynda...3 hours is a long time. Hope all the meats stayed frozen. We have a generator too. But will not run the entire house. We use it when necessary for the freezer, heat and sump pump. I think every home owner in Massachusetts needs one!

most years we get frequent power outs of 3 hours... no need to worry about anything...just don't open the freezer door and let the cold air out. we have had a benign winter. no substantial power outs at all.
I did Burn sets bi's and tris and core 1 yesterday just before dinner. will do the other half of burn sets today. going out to dinner with cousin and wife later today.
Very wet outside .... the last couple days and my hummer population gets absolutely frantic around the feeders. a lot more activity when it's raining. they move so quickly it's not possible to do an actual count. I have 4 feeders and sometimes there are 15 birds on one feeder..... instead of spreading out to all 4 they tend to mob each other on one.
Lori.. warm wishes for your recovering brother.
Josie good luck on your ride today..hope you get pleasant temps and a tailwind.

Good morning from Ohio!
Kylee qualified in both events she was entered in and took 2nd and 1st places! Keegan was having an "off" day, but did manage to squeak by with a qualifying score in one of his events. It was a long day but a lot of fun.
Josie, that was so sweet of your brother and you as well with your parents!
Lynda, unfortunately, no videos were taken. John had the iPad with him but with holding on to Keegan and trying tosaty out of site from Kylee in the ring, he wasn't able to take one. There was a little "mayhem" while Kylee was in the ring; a couple of the crated dogs in the grooming area started a barking ruckus, which got all the others riled up, then a couple' from Kentucky that had never been to the show before and came just to watch with their 7 month old Wire somehow let go of their leash and the little dog was running all over, which really got the crated dogs in an uproar. Kylee tarted to stray away from me (she was doing an exercise off leash) but she decided it was better to stay near me. Afterwards the judge told me she was close to calling "exercise finished" and would have let me do it over. She was pretty proud of how Kylee did not run out and get in the middle of it all I was too!
Valerie, time for new hiking boots? Would love to see a picture of those birds on the feeder!
Lori, I hope that your brother is ok, and back to healing. It sounds like a set back, but one that he can get beyond. Good that they caught it and treated him right away.
Judy, how is your FIL doing?
We have the banquet tonight, then on the road very early tomorrow,

Best Buy Geek told me she can see all of my files on the hold hard drive so they should be able to transfer them Keep your fingers crossed!
