Oh this time change thing!!!
Got up at 4, got on the scale (like I promised) and went outside to scream!:eek::eek::eek: Didn't want to wake the kids!!!
So today I am starting my WW points and getting back on track.

First I need to do a nice steady cardio. Let me pick which torture, I mean DVD I'm going to do and I'll be back after my itty bitty teeny weeny bowl of oatmeal. :(:(

Morning Ellie and other peeps. Word of advice: throw the danged scale out the window! Of course, after saying that, I have to admit to climbing onto mine this am too. Up a pound after the weekend, which I consider a victory. I'm headed for work and am planning something cardio this afternoon. Maybe I'll dig out Tracey's new step workout, which I haven't even previewed yet. I also have to make a goodie for tomorrow. Our church is a polling place and we have provide refreshments for the voters. See you all later.

Robin,
So glad to see you back!!!
How was Vermont??? Was is beautiful?? DH and I are planning to get there one day, as soon as the boys are a little older.

DON'T tell me what kind of goodie you are making, cause I will want to eat it!! And everything else I can get my hands on today.:eek::eek:

Good Morning to all PEEPS!!!
ellie:D

Good Morniong Ellie, Robin and all who follow.

It's a cardio day for me - will probably do a TM run.

Ellie I just had to laugh at your post (sorry) You just come across so funny in your posts.

I'm counting my WW points too.

I honestly get so tired of watching what I eat, counting points and working out so hard ::sighs:: Ah well ::shrugs::

Robin I did that years ago didn't own a scale and for me that was when my weight went up big time ugh! After I figured it all out I got a darned scale went on WW and did workout consistently and lost those 40+ pounds four years ago. Now I'm dealing with the weight creeping up and the scale is what keeps me focused.

Have an awesome day Peeps my oatmeal is done so off I go to start my day!

Vilma- I LOVE WW points, it's really the only thing that keeps me on track. I had a baby at 40 then peri-menopause and now menopause at 44 si I got SLAMMED!!!:eek::eek:
I didn't even have the energy to diet. But I tried WW online and loved it. I was at goal weight over the summer, but now 6 pounds crept back on. Well, they actually jumped right onto my belly!!:eek::eek:

Obviously I've had a little too much coffee this am. I can't stop typing (talking) I'm answering all threads in OD and Starting threads and PM ing people. ANYTHING to keep my hand out of the goodie bags!!!!

Robin, my DH was so tired of my scale after my 2nd son was born, he ran over it in the driveway!!! Of course I was so sick of his Blacberry that I ran over that first, but still. MY SCALE!!!!!

Have a great day!!!
ellie

I wonder if Ellie's neighbors are mad at her for waking them up at 4:00 screaming :p I agree with Robin on the scale!!

Ellie, VT was nice. The leaves are all past and the snow hasn't fallen (much) so it was very quiet and laid back. We were visiting my mom, who is in a nursing home, so we didn't have much time for fun and games. We did have a couple nice meals out. My mom has lived in VT for about 20 years, but we've never had much of a chance to enjoy the state. When we would visit with the kids, the issues with DS meant we had to stay close to home. Mom and Dad never "got" how to handle him and his unique problems, so we could never take off for a day of hiking. Then my dad died and my mom got frail, so when we visited, we would stick with her. Someday, maybe I can actually enjoy a trip to VT as a tourist.

Vilma, I wish I could be one of those who don't need a scale. But I truely hate how that number influences my feelings about myself.

Morning Peeps~

Wow...you guys are up early and having intelligent conversations! I need a few cups of coffee first while waiting for the fog in my head to clear:confused: I'm planning an outdoor run since the weather is so nice. We are supposed to hit 70 today!

Robin~ Welcome back. We missed you;) The church I attend (ocassionally:eek:) is also our polling place but they never have goodies. That is a nice for you to do especially since they are predicting long lines this election.

Ellie~ The scale is a cruel instrument of torture! However, I do keep mine around and step on it when I'm feeling puffy. I've had to cut back recently because my numbers were up too so I can sympathize with you!

Vilma~ So which CC are you doing today on the TM? I wish I could do CC outdoors but my iPod is old and freezes up if jarred too much. I use the tiny shuffle for outside but don't have my CC's on it since you can't select what you want to hear. I've never tried WW but I've been weighing and measuring out my portions which also gets to be a pain.

Catherine~ So whatcha got planned for today?

Wave to all peeps who follow:)

Peeps Check-in

Peeps:

Good morning! I was missing in action this weekend because I was sleeping and working out to detox from the heavy food I ate last week.
After a rest and recovery week, I got back in the game and kicked off my new rotation Saturday morning with the 4-Day Split Kickbox cardio premix. This is my favorite cardio kickboxing workout. I had a food hangover Saturday morning after an episode of comfort eating Friday night, and I felt heavy and weighed down. I could feel every ounce of the weight I gained in October. My feet and knees were not happy.

After a restorative nap Saturday afternoon, I went to the club and gave my first Cardio Coach workout a whirl in the pool. Mercy! Running sprints through 4 feet of water was more challenging than I anticipated! My butt was burning during the sprints and the hills. I love Coach Sean! He knows just what to say to keep me pressing on. This workout was far more intense than jogging in the pool on my own. I cooled down and enjoyed a soothing water workout after Volume 3. I love my OtterBox! Having my favorite praise music in the pool will add so much joy to my journey.

I started reading the Intuitive Eating book again, and I am eating when I am hungry and choosing a good balance of fruits and/or veggies, protein, and whole grains.

My cycle started yesterday morning. That explains the intense cravings I experienced Friday.

I am returning to my beloved 4-Day Split this month and looking forward to revisiting Cathe’s November 2007 rotation that gave me such great results. It will take a few days for my body to detox from the heavy food I ate last week and adjust to the time change. While waiting for my energy to be restored so I can focus on heavy weights, I played with my favorite cardio premixes this weekend and enjoyed the double cardio premix Sunday morning. Lower Intensity Step makes me smile, and Higher Intensity Step gives me a burst of energy. I am still enjoying Cathe’s dancy step choreography on the floor. Fun, fun, fun! I love the chest and back work in this series and look forward to officially starting the rotation this week.

I am looking forward to a Zumba party at the club tonight!

Ellie, you are so funny! I can count on you for a good laugh! If you think the scale is bad, take a "before" picture like I do! The scale does not tell the whole story. The camera does not lie! I am hoping to have "after" pictures to share someday. I have plenty of "before" and "before that" pictures. LOL!

Robin, a pound is a victory! My pounds are more social than that. They always come with friends! LOL!

Vilma, enjoy your cardio today!

Catherine, have a great day!

JJ, I prefer to pull out the scale when I am feeling lighter!

Hugs and waves to Dani, Karin, Wendy, and any other Peeps who visit today!

Blessings,
Heather B.

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

Heather~ Welcome to the wonderful world of cardio coach. Sounds like you had a great workout! Isn't Sean the best?;) Have fun with your 4DS rotation.

JJ

Hey Peeps....

Just ignore me! I noticed I'm at post #899 and shamelessly wanted to hit 900

Back to your regular programming!

JJ

Guten Morgen, Peeps! :)

Wow, I'm putting on a pot of oatmeal for us and a pot o' joe! LOL!

Taking a quick break here--I've got 40 airline tickets to book TODAY!!--but wanted to commiserate with my Peeps--my scale is climbing up, too! And I CANNOT afford new pants (all my weight goes to the thighs) nor do I want to buy new pants so I'm kicking it up, too. Ellie, I saw your post yesterday and I'm in with you on this (and all the other Peeps fighting this right now!) I'm so glad I have this group to turn to for support and encouragement...

So today I kicked off my new plan with 4DS High Intensity step and Stretch Max with the stability ball. Then Houdini woke up early--thanks to Mr. Needy yowling at ther door--so it was a scramble to get ready. But I started with a good workout and a nice bowl of Kashi French Vanilla Go Lean Hot Cereal (yummy...tastes like a rice pudding to me) with golden raisins. Today's lunch is homemade pasta and bean soup (can't remember how to spell the Italian name of it) and red leaf lettuce salad with olive oil and squeeze of lemon and Greek yogurt with Greek Thyme honey. So with Cathe's nutrition tracking system, I hope to somehow manage my thighs! LOL!

For those who didn't check in over the weekend, Houdini's Halloween pics are posted on my page.

Oh! JJ--The Candy Corn outfit is from Target, believe it or not, and was a whole $10!! :)

Second Oh--I did my winter clothes shopping this weekend...Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft were having HUGE sales and I went to the Loft on Sunday and got 10 things--5 sweaters, two tanks, a long-sleeved shirt, bracelet and a necklace for $202. I saved more than $140! (Everything I bought was on sale and they took 40% off the sale price and then gave me a card for $25 off my next $50 purchase.) LOVE IT!!

OK, really gotta go...I'll be back later for personals!

:) Wendy

Hey there Peeps!

Well, I've been MIA for a few days again. I ended up getting busy last week, working on some more pressure washing & sealing, & was unable to keep up with posting here again. I think I'm going to end up getting busy again this week too because I'm probably going to end up going to one of our properties & helping out again. But I'm at home today, doing laundry & housework, so I thought I'd "peep" in. To catch up, I finished out 4DS last week & also did a kettlebell workout on Friday, followed by a nice yoga routine. This week, I'm back on BBC.

My DH & I will be celebrating 20 years of marriage later this month & since I'm out of work, I figured that we would just do something sort of low key & inexpensive... & I was totally fine with that. After all, it's not about what we do together but simply being together. But he has decided that we should do something nice & get away for a few days. So we booked a vacation to Aruba at an all-inclusive resort! I am so excited! I just had to share...

Ellie - I can totally relate the the perimenopause thing. My body hasn't been the same since I began that journey & I'm just trying to get used to it. I just can't seem to shake this weight I've gained since I started, no matter what I do, how much I work out, or how clean I eat. I've heard that it gets better afterward, though. At least I hope it does...

Robin - Glad your trip to Vermont went well & I hope you enjoy your cardio workout this afternoon!

Vilma - I'm one of those who doesn't weigh often. I always used to go by how my clothes fit but since my body has been changing lately... I mean, everything is like shifting or something... I started trying to weigh occasionally. Well, after weeks & weeks of workout out really hard & eating really clean, the dang thing still isn't moving in the right direction so I've stopped weighing again. It's probably better that I don't, at least for now anyway. Hope you enjoy your TM run later!

Catherine - Hi! Hope to see you back later...

JJ - It's supposed to be 70 here today too. I'm thinking about washing my car later. Hope you enjoy the nice weather too.

Heather - I'm also in love with 4DS. I want to do it every week but I know it's better to mix it up so I do... reluctantly. Hope you enjoy your Zumba party tonight!

Wendy - Gosh, it sounds like several of us are battling a little bit of weight gain & I'm also grateful for this check-in. I need to check out your halloween pics. I bet they're great!

Well, I better scoot for now. I need to run out to the store but I also need to finish up the load of laundry I have in the dryer first. I hope everyone has a great day & I hope I can find more time to post this week too.

Take care Peeps!

Kel

Hey gang!!! I did 4ds double cardio this evening and my eating has been good today. Woo hoo!!!

Kel, good to see ya. Wow congrats on 20 years!!!

Wendy, thanks for the pot of joe and oatmeal ;) Glad you got your workout in before Mr Needy woke Houdini.

Heather, I love 4ds-enjoy your rotation!!

JJ, did ya get in that run? Gotta love 70 degree weather in Nov

Robin, did you say you have HLMB? I can not remember if you liked it or not. I like it, but some of the moves are just too dancey for this chick.

Hi Peeps!

Ellie: You crack me up girl! I can totally relate to both the scale AND blackberry! I "dropped" my BB last week in Dallas and just got my replacement today! I was totally LOST without it over the weekend! I also wish I was not so driven by the numbers on the scale and let it dictate what kind of day I was going to have! I tell myself "no, do NOT get on there today" but I find myself checking EVERY morning... and depending on what it says, I either feel pretty good or very shi**y. It hasn't budged much for the past few months but I am certain it is my lack of discipline with my eathing. My workouts are staying steady (with the exception of my trips lately) but as long as I'm home I'm working out!

Catherine: Good for you on the wo and eating good! I so need to get it together!

Kel: Congrats!!! on your anniversary! Not a lot of people can say 20 years together anymore! Aruba - WOW, I hope you have a fabulous time! We haven't taken our official honeymoon yet (married this past May), so are always looking good ideas... when ya goin?

Robin: glad you made it to VT and back safe and sound!

Wendy: Well, I made it to Sam Moon last week! I don't wear much jewelry except my wedding ring, but it was cool to check out all the earrings, necklaces and was on Purse overload!!! What a place (all three of them) Thanks for the suggestion... I did a little trolling the mall too, but didn't really buy anything. Sorry your workout got interrupted this morning, but I'm sure you burn more calories than you realize chasing after Houdini!

JJ: LOL on the post count bump :) How funny! I was thrilled to finally hit 100!

Heather: Keep on keeping on! sometimes you have to stumble so you can pick yourself up and move forward to good progress! If it was easy, everyone would be doing it!

Vilma: glad to hear others are using WW online... I am a member, but can't actually remember when the last time I logged in was! I am quick with the excuses, and whine a lot about not seeing results, but do little to get a handle on my eating... I really have to be 'in the right frame of mind' to make that sort of committment because my eating is SO out of wack... UGH! why is it so darn hard to start! I know I can do it, just can't get started! :(

cheers all!
