Oh man, do I want peanut butter. I want a nice yummy PB sandwich for lunch tomorrow. Yes, I'm already planning ahead! But do you know what that stuff does to the fat intake? x( And here I am, trying to be so careful. Am I destined to be peanut butterless for the rest of my life????

Okay, in all seriousness.... I'm gonna splurge!!!!

GASP! Fat???!!! Peanut Butter??!! Something that you think tastes good??!! Oh no! Call the food police!! Enjoy!

Ahem, aren't you forgetting the Fluffernutter? If you're gonna do it, you might as well do it right! lol

PB is just fine in moderation. I think lots of people on here eat it. Try the natural stuff, maybe. Don't freak, it's not the end of the world if you ingest the ooey gooey goodness ;)

What is wrong with Natural PB as long as it fits into your food allowances( if you count calories c/p/f ratios). I eat a tablespoon every day }(

I'm eating natural PB on toast right now. Yummmmmmm! You can eat it and still lose weight. I don't eat it every day, but on a day like today where the rest of my food is very low in fat I'm actually eating it to UP my fat intake for the day.

I actually make "lower" fat natural PB with every jar. First dump all the oil off of the top of the jar and then blot any that won't pour off with a paper towel. Then, and this is the important part so that you don't end up with cement PB, use ONE electric beater to mix it up with. This whips the PB a little, lightens it, and very evenly distributes the remaining oils, better than I can ever accomplish with a knife anyway.
Then store as usual, but if any extra oil appears on the top, just blot with a paper towel. I don't know how much this lowers the fat content, but it has to be some (that's what I keep telling myself anyway:p ).
BTW, this doesn't really alter the taste or consistency of the PB very much at all, unlike the lower fat versions they sell in the store.

It's a staple at my house, I can run out of milk, eggs, etc. but there had better be PB (and bread)!! It my healthy fat that fits nicely into my food allowance. One tablespoon, not every day, but at least four days a week.
