Peak Performance

My suggestion for a new series is a Peak Performance series; something that contains integrated workouts that progressively build to a peak. The idea came from reading something Cathe said about building up to being fit to film the Hardcore series. Certianly, we're using the product of that; how about the process? I would envision the series being graduated, and including needed recovery periods/workouts.

(FYI, VFers, this is Kyra.)

I like the title!
I also like the idea of incorporating recovery workouts.

Also, including a workout in a recovery week that would focus on building support muscles, functional moves, and on pre-hab and injury prevention, as well as core strength. Moves for the rotator cuff, scapular retrations and protractions on the stability ball, knee stabilization exercises (1-legged unweighted squats, for example), moves using the medicine ball the work the shoulder girdle (for example) in different directions, rotational moves using the medicine ball.

(I just started a HC rotation with Back/Shoulders/Biceps, and believe I was able to hit it strong because I've been doing more functional type workouts to help build those support muscles).
