Pain in ribs

Cathlete
I have been exercising for about three months and I noticed when I workout I get pain in my right side in the ribs, but when I get used to the routine the pain goes away, but when I start a new one I get the same pain for about a few days, it goes away after I stop exercising for the day. but comes back the next time I workout, this will go on for about three days till I get used to the routine. I do stop now and then to get some water. I am still trying to work on my energy and strength, is there something I can do to get my strength and energy going? I always feel so tired. I take tons of vitamins and try to eat healthy. I could really use some great advice. I would like to feel like I did before I got ill.

Not Cathe, but...

I get the same pain too! I've been attributing it to ab exercises like oblique crunches. The pain is noticable when I start a new type of ab routine. After a few days it goes away, but sometimes I'll feel it again when I do the cobra pose in yoga, or when I lie prone.

RE: Not Cathe, but...

I do ok on the ab works it is when I do the step workouts. I have tried taking Ibuprophin before I workout and that doesn't work, I have been stoping more often when I start a new one and drink more water, but I do get frustrated because of the pain.

Could it be a "stitch" pain? Whenever I start some new aerobic activity, like running, interval training, etc., and am not in top shape and go to fast, I get this pain on my side. Maybe you are going too fast on the step? Just something to think about.

Take care.
