P90x

Well i got it yesterday.
I reviewed 1 tape chest.
All it does it push ups and pull ups through the whole thing. I don't know I am going to review them all. I think i am just more into Cathe's tapes.
Was looking for some changes. Something different or to incorporate, but I am not sure this is what i am looking for.
I am going to review them all and try them once.

Hey Anne:

Just wanted to let you know that I had the same reaction to the chest/back tape when I first looked at it. But after doing it once I found myself really looking forward to it. BTW, I don't have pull-up bars, I substituted bands and weights.

For what its worth, Chest & Back was mty least favorite of the P90X DVD's. I liked the other P90X uppr body workouts ALOT better!..:)...Carole
 
Give it a chance, Anne.

Push-ups used to be my most hated and feared exercise, but after doing P90X, I'm totally addicted to them.

I still presently struggle with pull-ups, however. :D
 
It's nasty that C/B is the first workout in the rotation! It kept me from doing P90X for a long time. When I finally did approach it, I was still skeered of Ch/Bk, so I started the rotation mid-week with Shoulders/Arms. When I got around to Chest/Back, I did the push-ups (most on knees and first), but because I didn't have bands or a pull-up bar at the time, substituted heavy pullovers and 1-arm lat rows (1 side each set, alternating) for them for a while, then got the heavy set of B-Line Bands from Beachbody (but because their bogus door attachement didn't seem very effective or safe, had to wait until I got a good door attaqchement from www.sissel-online.com until I used them).

Don't let your first impressions of Chest/Back keep you from waht many of us found to be an excellent system. Look at Plyo X (more effective done than viewed!), Core Synergistics, Shoulders and Arms.
