P90X.....

I love the series, but I am having a hard time sticking with the program. I mean, I have so many of Cathe's and other workout tapes, that I want to use them all. What's a gal to do?

I can't be without Cathe, omg Legs & Glutes, Imax, Cardio Kicks and so on and so on. Does anyone have a P90X and Cathe rotation, that you'll like to share. Thanks so much.

P90X is outstanding...but let's face it Cathe's fun!!

Here's a sample of my week:

M - Chest and Back, (opt. turbo Jam 20 minute workout just for fun.)
T - HE #3 add L&G standing or GS Legs
W - Shoulders and Arms (add turbo jam AB JAM or Core Max your choice)
T - S&H Legs & IMAX III (can do int. 1-5 or your choice or all)
F - Any Cathe kick box or Cardio Party TJ with core work your choice
S - Muscle Max, PH, or any other total body endurance.
S - rest

This is a rough sample. The following week I switch and do Shoulder's, Chest, Tri's on Mon and Back and Bi's on Wed. Fill everything else in with Cathe's. I never use P90X legs or other P90X workouts for that matter, but the upperbody workouts are unbeatable. If you feel burned out go to Cathe circuit workouts for a few days and then back to P90X. Something else that may prove useful would be to go heavy with the P90X for a few weeks and then switch to lighter weights for a week or two and concentrate on your form. This brings in the Hypertophy Specific Training principle. I often add a core work out at the end of other days as well. Be creative. If you just get in the two upperbody workouts in a week and keep changing things up you will continue to see results!!

You can substitute some Cathe workouts while following the P90X rotation generally:
KPC or CC for Kenpo X
An IMAX for PlyoX
S&H Chest and Back for Chest and Back
A Cathe lower body workout for Legs and Back

You could also extend the rotation a bit and add in an extra cardio day here and there

When HC first came out, I posted a rotation using Cathe workouts (basically GS) in a P90X-like rotation. You can find it by searching the "rotations" forum. You could alternate weeks of strictly P90X with weeks of Cathe.

Thank you for all your suggestions, I’ve decided to continue with P90X, but do project me. If that means throwing in other workout tapes, it really doesn’t matter, right :) :) The end results, is a toner, leaner and muscular body. Keep up the good work everyone.

Kathryn,

I just received my P90x DVDs....I have printed your P90X-like Hardcore rotation and it looks wonderful, but I don't know enough about P90X to incorporate it successfully into my Cathe workouts. Do you have suggestions and recommendations of how I can do it? So far from the forum I've read that P90X is weak in the leg/glute area and cardio, but very strong in the upper body area. And as we all know, there is absolutely no way I am going to do 90 days of a P90x rotation without my Cathe workouts...hehehe;-) .

I have all of Cathe's DVDs so don't be afraid to recommend DVDs that I might not own ;-) If you could possibly recommend a rotation incorporating both on a weekly basis I would greatly appreciate it.

I've been very successful so far with Debbie's rotations (aka "my favorite" fitnessfreak); I have to say her rotations are actually taking me to another level of muscle definition. I'll never be big (I'm not genetically inclined), but I can get really defined. My pictures are recent, but I honestly do look even better (sculpted) with so many thanks to Debbie's rotation choices and Cathe's DVDs!!!

Before I start P90X, I do want to finish out this month of Debbie's "Strength 4 Week Rotation" and learn a little more about P90X. Your help would be so greatly appreciated:) .

Ah, and some day, I will get to my all time goal of A-jock's Faux CTX rotation....LOL. Well, we all save the best for last.
