Can anyone tell me about this series?
I've seen discussions on this forum about P90X and am very interested in purchasing it so if anybody can give me feedback on these workouts, it'll be great.
Can I incorporate Cathe workouts along with this? or should it be done its own rotation alone?

Thanks

Christie

Go to Beachbody.com and you will find information about this system. There are 12 workouts plus the how to bring it" but it is a instructional video. The 12 workouts are: chest and back, plyometrics, shoulders and arms, yoga, legs and back, kenpo, stretch, core synergistics, chest, shoulders and back, back and biceps, cardio and ab ripper. In the weight workouts the number of reps and how much weight you use depends of your individual goal: 8 to 10 reps if you want muscle size and 12 or more reps if you want endurance. In the book that you receive with the program you will find three rotations: the classic rotation, doubles (you add more cardio the hardest rotation) and the lean rotation( the easiest)and other useful information like eating menus etc. There are three blocks or phases. Each block consist of three weeks of intensity followed by one week of recovery. The weight workouts are the best I have done. There are lot of pull ups and push up in the workouts.P90X and Turbo Jam are the best purchases I have done this year.

In videofitness you will find a P90X thread named The Power 90X (P90X) Reference Thread. Go to the VF reader forum, then go to frequently Asked Questions and then to Video/DVD FAQs and you will find the thread.

In this direction you will find reviews of the workouts: http://www.sfu.ca/~ltoth/P90X/Reviews/p90x_intro.htm

I love this series...I'm in my 2nd month and love the results so far. I plan to incorporate cathe in probably another 2 months.

BTW: The bands with the door attachments work well for me instead of the push up bar. I've heard some women say they bulked up too much for using the bar but that may not be for everyone ya know.

Thanks so much for detailed infomatuon.
Do you do any of Cathe workout with P90X or would that be too much?
Are these workouts very different from Cathe workouts?
And how long is each workout?

The workouts on an average are about 60 min each. YogaX is 90 and CardioX is like 30 I think! I did 2 rotations and got awesome results but I also ate very clean. I did use some Cathes along with P90X as it didn't work my legs enough. I also did an extra shoulder workout a week too as it is my fav part to work. The workouts are quite different than Cathe. P90X to me was definitely worth the money...:)...Carole
