P90X Rut Busters Check In - week os 2/21

Ruppie, THANKS for running for me! I only wish your running would firm up my ass!:7

Still sick. After a cup of Theraflu I started to feel better so I WALKED on the treadmill at about 3 mph but 8 incline. I really wanted to to the "on deck" P90X workout (Back and Biceps...I think) but the energy level was low and I am trying to avoid a relapse! I also did CoreMax #2. I moved a little. Don't tell DH, this is getting me out of laundry!:7 :7

I think YogaX is on deck for tomorrow and I think I will be able to do it. Might help a lot!

HEY!!!!!THAT REMINDS ME.......so I told you I was traveling last weekend, well, I did YogaX while at my moms and I was getting into "Crane" pose!!!! I can't hold it for 60 seconds but I was holding it and getting back in!!!! Everytime I do it, I do it better! HOORAY FOR ME!!!!

Ruppie - I agree. This board has been a great motivator and I'd love to continue it beyond the 90 days. We'll have to think of a new name for ourselves at that point!

Sarah - Don't overdo it and be well. I agree that a few crunches are better for you though than doing the laundry. Tell DH we said so if it happens to come up in conversation.

I did P90X chest shoulders and triceps for the first time this morning. Are they joking with all those pushups? Never the less, I enjoyed it and am sure it will help me with my Ima Challenge, if it doesn't kill me first. Looking forward to Yoga tomorrow with my new mat.

Did my Imax 3 tonight!! I like that workout more and more each time i do it (okay,only did it three times, but still;)
Tomorrow have back and biceps (p90x style) planned.

Ruppie, i know what you mean with the chest and triceps. I usually use 12's for french presses, but she has me so fried by that time, i'm down to 8's!!! its all those push ups i think!! they are so good for the whole arm/shoulder, everything but the wrists:-(

Sarah, hope you soon are feeling better! I haven't had the flu yet, but everyone who i know that has has been sick for days! Just start slow on the treadmill when you get to feeling better.

I don't know about you all, but i have a hard time deciding everyday between hardcores and p90x. Last week i did all hardcore strength, this week all p90x strength.

Hate to admit this , and i never thought i would, but i'm starting to actually enjoy Tony. I did chest shoulders triceps on tuesday and he had me cracking up. Some of his funny comments...can't remember when, but the one where he makes up a word (supercalifragi something, i don't know but i find myself LOL)
 
Oh yes, i forgot to add... way to go on the yoga sarah!!
i think we are all making such huge fitness leaps with our little rotation. And lets not forget our Ima challenge!!!
 
Good Morning Ladies! I did Yoga this morning (w/out my mat! GRrrr….) and had a pretty good workout. I was not into this as much as I have been in the past but I got up and did it. My wrists are still bugging me – too much strain, I think.

Beachbody has been a total disappointment to me! They have terrible customer service and even their supervisors can’t seem to get my order shipped. As I climb their corporate ladder for help, I find it hard to believe that it takes a customer service director to get products shipped – two weeks after they were ordered FEDEX. I am going to try a few local stores today to get the things that I need and cancel my order with them. It’s just been too time consuming and way too frustrating.

Margaret – very jealous that you have a new mat for yoga today! (See above!)

Ruppie – glad to have you back again. I could “hear” your frustration last week and it is gone now. I would love to check in after the 90 days is over!

Ima – Hope you continue to feel better. Take it slow and get lots of rest (and let DH do the laundry ;) )

Dominican – I usually just have water during my workouts. If I am doing cardio, sometimes I will throw some electrolyte replacement in it (I used GU2O) and rotate that with water. If I am really dragging or very tired, I will use either a half or whole packet of energy gel (GU is my favorite). Basically, this is a shot of carbs that sustains you through your workout. I prefer not to eat anything but sometimes in that early hour (or on the weekend during an extra long/tough workout), I need it. For me, it is the difference between really jamming out the end of the workout and feeling solid throughout it or feeling lightheaded and losing form.

Wendy – that’s it. I am doing IMAX 3 this weekend. Your motivation for this workout is making me wonder what I am missing!

Hello ladies, this morning i did leg style from HC. it was hard and it felt good. tonight i was going for some upper body workout but my daughter was sick so i will do it tomorrow b/f going to work.

Well, I did do YogaX today but I am still sick. Actually, my babies are in really bad shape so that has been time consuming. Had to do YogaX though, love that one! I watched my reflection in a full length mirror to try to perfect my form...what a stupid thing to do when sick!

Anyway, something is better than nothing. I feel better tonight but very worried about the kids...too many fevers!

Ima - I'm jealous! I desperately want a full length mirror by where I work out so I can check my form! I think it's a great idea- I just can't find a reasonably priced one!
I hope you and your kids are feeling better soon! It must be tough when they have fevers!! I don't have any kids but when my husband gets sick he tends to get a really really high fever for a short time and then is fine. Like it burns out the virus or something. When it first happened when we were dating I was so nervous, I got him medicine from the store to bring down his fever, and I got him the nighttime one to help him sleep. Then I spoke with my mom because I was worried because his fever was so high, and she told me to be sure to wake him every 2 hours to check on him. But I just gave him the sleepy medicine!
Anyway, I guess my point is good luck with your sick babies, it must be tough. I think I have a lot to learn before I have any...

So today I did back & shoulders & biceps Hardcore. It was pretty good - I'm still feeling my triceps from chest & triceps the other day.

I in no way feel like doing any work today. I had class in NYC last night and it took me about 3 hours to drive home in the snow!!!!

Hey ladies :)

I bought a band yesterday to do Legs & Back this morning. That kept me on schedule until my BB items come. I cheated a bit today and did Core Max Segment One instead of ARX. I woke up w/the worst headache ever but didn't want to put off my workout. Gotta keep Rut Bustin'! I started and ten minutes in, almost stopped and gave up. I was having a hard time pushing myself, stretching (putting my head down), etc. I took aspirin and kept going and after a bit, it let up. Then afterwards I started talking myself out of abs so I put in something new to keep myself interested. Better than skipping, right? ;)

I think that I will add an additional week to phase two b/c I feel like I missed out with no band on Monday and a substitute band today (and a substitute band on Monday of next week too). That will put me a week behind you guys but I really don't feel like I am getting the full force of the rotation this week for that reason and the fact that I have been DOG TIRED this week and drained.
 
Well, been offline for two days and don't know how long this is going to last. I don't know what is going on with this computer. Somewhere spyware got loaded on and now it is slowing down and i can't close windows without control/alt/deleting. how frustrating. i have norton antivirus and adware and neither are touching it.

Anyway, thurday i did legs gym style. I have to say, it was so so for me. typical leg workout cathe style. I like a little variation and i like heavy real gym style as my legs are thin and i need to build muscle mass. i had absolutely no doms from it at all.
Friday i felt like some cardio, so did hardcore extreme #3. I really like this one!! It's tough! I hadn't done my back and biceps for the week yet, so i tacked on biceps from hardcore and found i could go really heavy because i was only doing the one body part.

Today i have a baby shower, and promised to take my daughter shopping for paint for her room, so not sure how productive i'll be. Maybe a short spinerval.

Hi All -

This morning was Kenpo X and then a did Step Blast through the first blast. To tired to finish it! I'll be in Orlando all of next week, but will take my P90X DVDs. I don't know how much of the workouts I'll get in, but I have good intentions. I'm helping my sister out with her sons wedding. I may have to redo next week also.

Did KenpoX yesterday and trying right now to figure out what to do today. It is a rest but I am itchig for some cardio. I am going to do the Hardcore Extreme workout #2 with the high impact and low impact intervals. }(
