P90X rotations

Carole....Ohhhhhh okay...I have those rotations. I was thinking you had a "unique" rotation utilizing some of Cathe and some of the P90X. Thanks so much anyway!!!

Melody....so we are brutal eh??? I like brutal....sounds really tough! Yeah brutal...."we're beasts"....real she-rahs!! Yeah...we could terminate the terminator. Boy are we tough!

Wait a minute, how can you look tough wearing glazed donuts on each finger. And yes, they ARE glazed. At least mine were!! How can you eat them any other way!! I only get to the top of the bar for glazed;)

Briee

That's what I thought Briee....I have done P90X with Cathe...but don't know if I have anything to copy??...and BTW...you are making me want to play this Chin-up game!!...:)

Carole...please come play the chin up game. For every ten chinups you get a glazed donut. JK. How did you do with chinups when you did the P90X?

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

Hi Carole. I'm in my 4th week of my first P90X rotation - you know - the first "off week" - and I find I'm already missing that upper body work. I don't really know what's ahead in terms of intensity, having not gone through it all yet. In this off week, do you think it's ok to add in some Cathe upper body - like PUB or a gym style? Or do you think I really need this week off? Off to do Yoga X. TIA

I think the recovery week is a great idea. I took full advantage of the recovery week (you still get worked with Yoga and Core Synergistics) and made good gains in the upper body. That week off of heavy lifting for the upper body made my body ready to go heavier the next 3 weeks.

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

I have to agree with Kathryn. I think one MAJOR reason that I burn out is that I want to keep pushing when a break is what I need and then "back at it". Enjoy your week and then "hit it hard" the following week.

Briee (Carole is miss intense so she may have another answer:7 - like come and join the chin up thread and you'll be be begging for a break - you know we are known to be the MOST INTENSE GROUP on the forum (insert smiley guy ROTF and laughing hard)).

Okay...Miss intense is posting...:+...I do agree with Kathryn and Briee but will add my 2 cents...I most likely added more of an endurance based workout like Power Hour or ME upper body in the recovery week and did not use heavy weights. I would NOT do PUB or the Gym Styles this week. I was still able to hit it hard the start of my 4th week. How are you liking YogaX?....:)

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

Thanks bunches ladies. Okay - I'll lay low or off for this week. Carole - yoga X is long. 90 minutes of yoga is just plain long. Though now that I know what's coming it's not as long as the first time or two. I'm not convinced that I like it yet, but I definitely don't dislike it (how's that for a ringing endorsement? ;-) ) On the other hand - Kenpo X does nothing for me - I'll do Kick Max or KPC instead. Thanks again - and enjoy those doughnuts! :9

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

My P90X came today!!!! I'm not going to class tonight in favor of watching all the workouts today! Is that terrible or what??!?!

They look HARD. I'm so glad!!! No wonder people get results!!

I'm a little bummed, I don't think I can do very many of these I've seen so far with my boot camp class (at least without getting them really p'd at me!!!). LOL

I really didn't expect them to be this HARD looking. I hope I can do this!!! }(

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

Me too Amy!!!

I've looked at most of them , but only done the AbRipperX since I got mine a few weeks ago.
That was tough but doable......thanks to Cathe!

I think we can do this, but I'm scared. Very scared!!!

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

It's definitely a "thank goodness I work out in the privacy of my own home" kind of thing!!! :p

Haven't looked at the AbRipper yet. Just watched Plyo and Core Synergistics. While sitting on my couch and eating lunch, LOL!!!

YUK...I hate donuts!!!!!! Lorrie I did get some subs for Yoga. Baron Baptiste, and Bryan Kest, as both have Power Yoga workouts which are not as long as P90X. I did sometimes fast forward thru the first 15-20 min of P90X Yoga as I liked the last part better..:)...Also like you I subbed KPC for KenpoX most of the time...:)

Amy...be a little scared but everything is modifiable (is that a word??)...:)

Christine...you HAVE to get P90X!!!!!...:)...Carole

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

LOL Christine, all in good time. :p You've got the TLTs to keep you entertained for a little bit, don't you?? And there's always the Power Strikes...

I'm afraid to watch the muscle workouts. Isn't that terrible?? }(

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

We did get her, didn't we?? }( }( }(

Funny thing is, I'm MEETING Christine next month and said I'd share... but she doesn't want to wait!!! LOL, I can see why she doesn't want to wait!!!!

Carole-- my plan was to do a short run most mornings, and do P90X most nights. I won't have time to do a full workout in the mornings, and want to keep up my running since I've been pretty good lately at squeezing in a few miles before work. Do you see any problems with this? I don't want to start another entire P90X thread to ask this question... ;)

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

"yuk I hate donuts"

Sorry Carole...you can't join our chin up check in }( }( }( }(

Briee:p :p :p

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

You ladies are evil! Evil I tell ya!!!

Well, Amy - you can borrow my TLT's when I get my P90X. I have a whole rotation for April alternating a week of TLT and heavy strength training with a week of Circuit and hard core Cardio. I want to seriously shock the heck out of my body. Then I'll start P90X in May so it's TOTALLY confused. If I don't lose these stubborn pounds and gain some sexy muscle, I don't know what else to do...

RE: P90X rotations - Question for Carole

I'm with you, Christine!!!! I've got to take my "before" photo (which P90X tells you how to pose for, LOL) and I'm very scared to see that one!!!

I don't think I'll want the TLTs, so no rush. It seems I will be very busy...

BTW, I got my order of P90X in 12 days. You can, too!!!!! }(
