P90X Results

I just received P90X yesterday and previewed the 1st DVD yesterday, Chest and Back and did it this morning, WOW!!

I read the fitness guide this morning and realized that there are 3 different programs, the classic, lean and doubles. If you followed the lean program did you get the desired results?

I tend to bulk up with heavier weights and I want to lean down now especially for summer. Cathe's Gym Style is my absolute favorite series, but I stopped doing that about 2 weeks ago and kind of stuck strictly with cardio, elliptical, running and walking.

Thanks!

Love P90X!! I prefer the Classic and actually leaned out with that rotation. The Lean rotation did not do anything for me. I also love the P90X+ workouts and just finished a P90X+ rotation a couple of weeks ago. Somehow P90X always does the trick for me and leans out that problem mid core region like no other program :)

Oh, Stephanie.....so it's Amy's Kickbox Surge and P90X for you, hugh? Don't watch any infomercials tonight! LOL

I'm thinking about doing a P90X round starting Sunday (I already own it, Stephanie, :p), while training for a half marathon and am wondering if just subbing running for any and all cardio would work. I'll have to do a search on it.

That's what I did, Gayle. I made sure I did the two upper body workouts each week and my runs. The leg workout I would do a shorter version or lighten up weights - sometimes I would skip altogether depending on my runs that week.

like he says in his workouts:do you want to do 8-10,10-12.or 12-15 depending if you want strength or endurance.because of p90x my push ups have increased to 40 straight leg in a row.sts did not have much pushups so my number has decreased

Ì would also recommend the classic (what I did) or the doubles rotation. The lean rotation never interested me, because every week, certain muscles groups were neglected.

If you want lean, just adjust your weights so you are doing around 15 reps.

Thanks for all of your responses. I'll stick with the Classics and add extra cardio on the weight lifting days.

I did Plyo this morning and I loved it, I never thought I was a plyo person but it was alot of fun!!!

I leaned out with the classic rotation too. The only thing I subbed was the yoga. I ran instead. I'm just finishing up CLX and am thinking I might do another round of P90X next.
