Good morning!

I have just received my package from BeachBody.com....YEAH!!! :)
Has anyone followed the Eating Plan that comes with the package? I was going over the book last night and it seems really time consuming.

Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help!!

My only thought is that I agree with you about it being time-consuming :D

I'm doing my first P90x rotation and not following the nutrition plan at all. IMO that plan requires a level of dedication (obsession?) that I just have no interest in. However, I've done some of the recipes and they are tasty.

I did the P90X rotation for the first time a year ago, and started out doing their nutrition plan. I agree with Sparrow. It is time consuming and I didn't lose weight on it, even though it is a healthy plan. My problem was that starting with this new training program I was so hungry! However, I did use some of the receipes and they're really very good. I just followed my own healthy eating plan.

Hi,

I just started P90X this week, and I'm trying to follow the eating plan. However, I'm finding I'm starving late at night. Two nights in a row I've eaten waaay more than I planned late at night. I think it's because I'm getting off to a late start each morning because I'm up so late at night. (I'm still not adjusted to being home yet, and my wacky sleep schedule is throwing everyone off.)

Since I still have a lot of weight to lose, I'm doing the lean rotation. I'm enjoying it so far, but I don't think I'm getting the same cardio nor am I getting as much strength training as I was when I was doing the GS and Cathe's other cardio. I do, however, feel a lot less wiped out after working out this week so I'm going to stick with it for awhile. I think I'm going to add some Cathe back into the rotation next week.

As far as food, to me the plan calls for more food than I've been eating, but less carbs (i.e. starchy carbs like bread and beans, not veggies). I decided to follow it because I really want to see results, and also because recently my workouts had started becoming tiring rather than invigorating. Anyway, since I'm on weight watchers too, I've decided to switch to core because it works better with the eating plan. (I'm still counting the points to make sure I don't go over -- especially a concern since two nights in a row I binged on light cream cheese and sesame water crackers.)

I agree it was a bit time consuming to plan, but once I went through the recipes and decided which ones I could incorporate into my family's eating style, I was able to compile a grocery list which took with me when I went grocery shopping. Now I have all meals for the week somewhat planned.

Sorry for the ramble. I guess I've been wanting to talk about this with someone all week. :)

Take care!
Pamela

Thank you all for your opinions on this.

I have started to do the eating plan, but I'm not sure how long it will last! For me it is very time consuming, as I work full-time outside the home and have 2 children.

I have read the BFL book...I was doing that until I received this program. Would you recommend BFL over this?

Thanks again!
Jennifer

I still consider myself a novice, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but while I enjoyed reading BFL, I found the exercise routine to be too little to effectuate the types of changes I'm looking for in my body. I tried it for two weeks, and I actually gained weight. (Not much weight, and it was probably water, but still it wasn't a move in the right direction.)

I am thinking of trying some of the recipes from the P90X eating plan but I'm not, and never have followed it. For all the reasons mentioned above. I don't believe in diets in general. I believe in portion control. I eat 5 or 6 smaller meals a day. I prefer whole foods to processed but I'm not a clean eater. This plan is helping me lose weight and lean out. And it's saving my sanity!;-)

I didn't use their eating plan, though I did try one recipe for a salad dressing!

I beieve in eating whole foods and a balanced diet, not some "diet plan."
