P90X January Starters-Tuesday!

Good Morning Xers!

CLASSIC/PHASE 2/WEEK 5/DAY 2

Well I finally got in CS&T last night around 7pm! I did not do ARX. I will do it today, thurs and sat this week. Today is supposed to be my day for a short run but I can't go to the gym as Joey is sick so I might do Plyo but am actually thinking of a DrillMax cardio only premix instead!}( I will start off with B&G Leg Blast Premix. I am adding one day of endurance leg work per week in phase 2. YOWZAS!:eek: }( :eek: }(

I don't really have DOMS from CS&T but I am "aware" of the msucles I worked. I liked the work out. Some of the new moves were TOUGH!

Okay, gotta go change my little stinker's diaper...when I say stinker you should take it literally! LOL P-U!:7
 
Classic rotation week 1

today is supposed to be Yoga, we'll see. i ain't promisin' nothin', lol. i will check back in later to let you know what workout i actually did.

wendy- i hope little joey gets over that ear infection quickly. i've dealth with many with the boys:( . i love cs&t, it's a great workout. have fun with DM!! oh, i know about those stinky diapers too:7 :p

Phase 2 - week 6 - day 2 - my version classic

OMG .. I just realized I am in WEEK 6!! WOW ... I said I wasn't going to do it b/c the PMS monster is upon me . . but I did weigh and I dropped the 2 pounds I had put on .. and this is w/the PMS symptoms .. so that makes me feel better!!! Not going to do measurments until the end .. b/c I don't want to get discouraged! I have a body fat scale .. Titania .. but I don't trust the numbers on it .. I have a hand held that I use .. (% of fat is ALWAYS higher on it .. dang it)

I am still looking like a bumpy lobster - as I posted yesterday .. I have had some sort of allergice reaction to something .. I have bumps and red patches all over .. they ich YUCK ... must be the new lotion I tried .. :( :( x(

I did legs yesterday .. and taught a circuit class last nigth ..

today it is triceps and back .. :eek: .. oh I feel the pain coming round the corner already .. SIL is going to meet me .. she is catching a workout every now and then .. LOl .. which is good for her b/c she hates weights ..

Wendy hope your little man is better today!

I am hoping today is better than yesterday .. b/c it was a nightmare at work .. full moon .. and people have lost their minds .. LOL!!

good morning!

today was back and biceps....

i kept waking up allllll night... so by the time 4:00 rolled around.... i didn't want to get up... and ARX seemed really difficult today??????????? only thing i can think of is my lack of good sleep last night?

i tried a new cereal for breakfast this morning.... one of the kashi's.... looks like O's but has some heart shaped ones too (since it's a heart to heart one, i guess)... it was yummy! so it gives me something different than my golean (but i LOVE LOVE LOVE golean!!!!!)

so it seems that everyone in this group does something more than JUST p90x..... which, no doubt, adds to the accomplishments of the workout.... i wonder if there are any cathe-ites that do just p90x.... as is.... NO extra workouts or sports???? and what their results are????

oh.... and i have another question: do you gals do 8-10 or 12-15?

last time i started the first week as 12-15 then went to 8-10.... but this time i've been doing 15/16....

Hi Everyone,

I feel really behind this week since I've been sick and not working out regularly since starting phase 2. I did MIS today simply to hit all muscle groups and will pick up with ply x tomorrow. I'm going to pick up where I left off with P90X on Thursday.

db-I do the 12-15 rep with as heavy a weight as I can handle with proper form. Sometimes I start with a heavier weight and can only to 10-12 reps so then I pick up a lighter weight and finish the reps with that weight.

I would love to try JUST P90x .. as is ...but w/my lifestyle, work and fitness classes I just could not manage it. But I do try to follow along the lines of the workout plan pretty closely .. although I am doing more ... but I am keeping the muscles groups "pure" and not adding extra work to the muscles already worked on in the extra workouts that I do .. (does that make sense?) .. for me the added heavy one or two muscle groups per day is something totally different than what I have ever done!!

I try my best to keep it to 12 - 15 .. striving toward 15 or more .. but sometimes when I up the weight I am doing good to get to 10 -12 .. and if I exhaust b-4 10 I drop down to a lighter weight and finish out to the full 16 ..

One other thing .. I am the one that blows it on the clean eating .. I eat "good" .. and most of the time fairly clean .. but when DH cooks I usually blow it .. but try to limit the portion size .. so there is no figuring calories .. or protein v/s carbs .. I just eat like I always have trying to up the protein a bit and cut down on the fats (try)

I wish I could follow the eating plan and the exercise plan to the T .. b/c I KNOW .. I have NO DOUBT my body would go thru some major changes w/amazing results .. my goal since I can't seem to do the eating thing to the T .. is to do my best and improve definition and loose some fat ..

:7 .. that is my hope anyway ..
 
alright ladies, i cannot tell a lie. i ran on the TM for 4.5 miles, while previewing YogaX, does that count

i just can't wrap my brain around a yoga day and a rest day. so i've decided i will do yoga on my rest or stretch day. that way i also get one long run (long for me, lol) in.

diane-glad to see you are feeling better!

poochy- some of the exercises i shoot for 8-10 and some 12-15 depends on the body part and if i am trying to build or strenghten...does that help at all? probably not, sorry.

Good Late AFTERNOON :)

Sorry I have been missing lately - - got super slammed at work lately.

Anyways after my bout of the cold, I just figured to say that was good enough for my rest week and jump into Phase two.

So I am doing whatever comes after back and biceps and arx - I did that one last night and it was AWESOME! I love the weight work so far in Phase TWO :) LOVE IT! Good variety.....the cardio is going to bore me to death, so I might be switching out KenpoX for Drill Max or KPC....

I do the 12-15 reps and will probably be buying a 25 pound dumbbell this weekend for my back muscles :))))))

I love the weight workouts so much, I might do another rotation following with the bands and just sub in Cathe's cardio and outdoor jogging, because it should be the season right around the corner!!!
 
Hey Xers!

I ended up doing the B&G premix plus B&G abs and had to stop there. Joey was not napping well so I didn't have time for cardio. I thought I would go to the gym tonight for a short run but I am dawg tired so there was no way THAT was happening! I am still hangin' on to this cold and it's killin' my energy. x( If all goes well I will get in a short run tomorrow after my shift is over though and when I get home it's back and biceps time!!! }(

I have lost endurance in my legs. It was totally obvious to me while doing the leg blast premix today. I am so glad I decided to add 1 day of leg work in phase 2. I will probably continue it in phase 3 as well.

Sunny, You are funny! Well, atleast you previewed yogax and NOT while sitting on the couch with popcorn and a soda!:7 :7 :7

DB, I've had the Kashi cereal you had this morning. I love it. It's similar to honey nut cheerios, etc. only better!:9

Reba, Go on and change up the cardio! I don't think it's a big deal! I haven't followed the original cardio rotation at all except for week 1! LOL I like the work outs but I need to keep up with my running and other stuff so I forgo them for the most part. I may put them in the rotation I do following completion of the X just for a goof though!;)

When I am done with X I am going to concentrate on lifting heavy with the same rep count using the machines at the gym. I will do 3 days of weights like the X does too. I am not sure how I'll handle cardio yet. I have 2 months to figure it out....I HOPE I can do it! LOL :p

Alright...I the couch is calling me BIG TIME!

Evening all -

Why does plyo always kick my @ss after recovery week? I can swear that I am losing cardio stamina. My heart rate now gets way up there and now it just seems to stay there. Cathe is going to kick my buttocks when I start doing those workouts again.:D

DB - I am doing P90X and ONLY P90X! I'm not near as crazy as all of you are:p Timewise - I am working out now more with the X than I used to with Cathe. Most of her workouts are an hour long and lots of the X workouts are 60 + ARX. And then there's YogaX...............

Hey Wendy - hopefully you got some good sleep - glad the little guy is better. My hand chapping is from the pull ups, not push ups. I guess I'll just have to deal with it.:(
