CLASSIC/PHASE 2/WEEK 6/DAY 5

Today will be Legs&Back/ARX + and evening kickbox class at the gym. I've got my work cut out for me, ey? LOL My legs feel better today, thank goodness.

I am taking my rest day a day early as I have a family party to attend in upstate ny tomorrow. It's about a 3 hour drive one way to get there! UGH! I will rest tomorrow and get in my usual Saturday run on Sunday instead. I am also hoping to make up the yoga I missed on Sunday as well. :)

I did get a compliment last night at aerobics - someone thought I'd lost weight or firmed up. :7 :7 I told them I was sure trying hard, but just wait until after I finish P90X, you won't recognize me. }( :7 ;-)

Good morning ladies!
(Phase 2 - Week 7 - Day 5 - my version classic)

One word .. OUCH!! OMG .. my biceps are screaming at me this morning!! I did most of the exercises w/12# weights on the biceps .. and 24# in each hand on the rows!! :eek: Yes .. feeling it today ....

.. was going to do the tricep and chest workout at lunch..(I missed this workout).. IF I can .. due to the soreness of the biceps I may have to postpone it and take my rest day today .. ???

Today at work we are cooking again .. to raise money for the American Cancer Society .. OK .. today's menue .. Lasagna - salad - and bread .. MMMMMMMMMMMM .. one of my favorites .. and yes I will be partaking .. OH WELL .. my diet is an embarrassment compared to the rest of you ladies!! :)

It is cold again .. 24 this morning .. but again not complaining b/c of you ladies snowbound and freezing .. but that is COLD for down here!!!

Been a morning already - my brother (Sherrif) just did a huge drug bust .. swat team .. police .. deputies .. the works .. SCARY .. but they got them .. busted a crack house (in an apt building) .. got cocain - crack - money etc .. YEAH .. and he is safe!! Thank God!! :7

Morning :)

Tonight is supposed to be Legs and Back, but I admit I am tired of the legs workout, but going to do it anyways!!! I don't think the legs part is what bothers me, but the back exercises are sort of boring to me ;) S

So here is my plan, I am going to skip the back segments on Legs and Back and just do the legs and then add in Gym Style Back segment only - that should do it for me. I just need a change :)
 
Hi Ladies,

I've been MIA the past few days. I've just been really busy at work and at home. This morning I did back & biceps and will be heading to the gym for some cardio at lunch.
I'm going to a baby shower for my niece and will try very hard to stay away from the cake! No guarantees though!

yesterday i didn't get a chance to workout or check-in. luckily it was my rest day but i had planned to do yogaX..oh well. there's always next week}( :p

today called for kenpo but i subbed for KPC. i haven't done that one in such a long time. it felt good and kicked my butt!!

Hi - just popping in quick to say that I finished Legs.Back - Whew...that's a good one. The different leg exercises were a nice change to simply squats and lunges.

I'm lovin' this system!

Hellllloooo Ladies!

Well did legs&back with arx. Wouldn't you think ARX would get easy after a while? Still quite a challenge. My form is much better now all the way through and I now keep my feet up the whole time for the last exercise - whew!! I'm also so stoked again today because Friday is my weigh in day and I dropped another 2.5 pounds. Woooohooo! My "skinny" jeans are too big - I am loving this! Down 14# total so far and I feel amazing!! Tony's program may be a bit boring and redundant at times, but it sure works for me.;-)

Wendy - I was in the car all last Saturday for a 2 hour one way trip downstate to get our 5th wheel, so I feel your pain.x( Although, since DH works so many hours, we rarely get a chance to just sit and talk so it gave us a chance to catch up. It does however, mess up the exercise schedule, but I know you are good at getting those workouts in. Let me guess - playing catch up on Sunday??? ;-)

Marcia - Isn't is a great feeling when people notice? It just makes it all so worth it. So what are you thinking about P90X? I still like legs&back even though it does get a bit redundant. The one thing I really like about it is that it is not all squats and lunges. I like Cathe's workouts, but I just get so sick of the squats and lunges, even though I know they are good for you.:7

Laura - Hats off to your brother. High fives to him!!:) Tell him I appreciate his hard work and keeping us all safe.;-) It must be stressful to you to have a family member doing such a dangerous job.

Reba - Legs & back really worked well for me. My legs have never been this defined before. Stick with it (even though I know it gets boring). :7 Although, if you're going to substitute, who can argue with a Cathe workout?;)

Diana - Did someone say cake??:9 }(

SunnyD - Don't worry - Yoga X isn't going anywhere. It's hard to do that one on a regular day for me, but to try to put it in somewhere else - ug! I don't think I would ever have the motivation to do that. Can you tell it's not my favorite? It does however, give me those muscle shakes/twitches that I think really do help develop good muscle tone.

Tomorrow is Kenpo and then Sunday is rest - ahhhhhhh! I'll be sitting in front of the TV with a cold one (or two) watching the Daytona 500!! Whooooo-hooooooo. I've been waiting for this since November.
