P90x Increases flexibility

P90X has soooo increased my flexability. I just restarted a rotation (tried to do one over the summer but didn't really follow the program like I should). Finished week 2 today. Last night I subbed S&H legs and during the hamstring stretch where you are on the floor and reach and grab your foot, I usually can only grab as far as above my ankle. Well last night I grabbed my foot without even thinking. Once I realized it I was like COOL!! Flexability is not my thing so I am glad to see it improving.

I'm glad to hear that, I ordered p90x a couple of weeks ago. I wish it would arrive already, everyday I'm looking in my box with hopeful eyes and there's nothing there! So sad, Cathe's stuff comes so much faster. But, it's great that you've had good success.

Heather, where do you live? I live in CT and it took me almost a month to get P90X. I know how frustrating for you it must be to have to wait so long. That's why I rarely order from them now.

What workouts do you think helped your flexibility? I have the series but have never done their yoga workout because I don't want to devote 90 min to yoga. One of my favorite workouts of the series was Core Synergistics. It gave me unbelievable core strength!
 
I think it's the yoga that has helped. I am only 2 weeks into this and can see a difference. I did also do stretchx last week. I know what you mean about devoting 90 mins to yoga. Before when I attempted to do a rotation I totally skipped the yoga. I think I maybe did it once. I will say though, that I feel very energized after the yoga. We'll see. I am trying really hard to stick as close to this rotation as I can. It's very difficult for me though, cause I am used to working out 4-5 days per week, not 6.

I had good flexibilily increases with P90X as well. I think it's not only the yoga, but the stretches within the workouts (especially the shoulder stretches, which are very effective, IMO).
 
Yeah, I agree Kathryn that there is quite a bit of stretching going on in the workouts. And that Saunders cycle at the beginning of KenpoX is a good one. Although I hate it while I'm doing it ;)
I started week three today and have not missed a workout yet (expept abs x1). but that is really good for me, cause most weeks doing 4 days is all I can accomplish.
