P90X + diet

My bf and I are starting P90X April 1. I'm wondering about the diet part of it. I was wondering how integral it was to the program. Could I maybe eat the BFL way instead? Or even WW?

Also, I've heard some have done a different yoga (shorter). How does this affect the results?

I can't recall all of the different ways people ate, but I do know that not everyone followed the plan. You might want to try a search, or advanced search, on the subject because I know we've all done it differently! ;-)

I am in Phase 3 of an X rotation and seeing awesome results with a not squeaky but a moderately clean diet. I have subbed a different yoga in many times and been fine. I can't compare to what would happen if I did yoga x all the way through every single time but I think subbing is fine. I do Yoga X often enough...it's not like I've completely left it out of the program.

Good Luck!:)

I didn't follow their diet plan at all, but I did watch what I ate. And I made sure to add my own version of their 'recovery drink'(just a soy beverage that had about the same macro nutrient ratio: 4-to-1 carbs-to-protein is the most important) righnt after my weight workouts.

I didn't follow the diet - the soups kind of seemed boring to me, but I ate a moderately clean diet-

My hips have shrunk and my arms feel and look more toned. I definitely have increased my strength! I can actually do pushups (not with the greatest of ease) but I have no problems doing 12 take a quick 3 second break and 12 more - ) much much improved in the strength area :)

The BFL and X nutrition plans are very similar. If you are already converted to a BFL style diet, just keep plugging along. It's nothing crazy or far fetched - it's basically just eating clean. It's trivial to follow, and it's a lifestyle change, not a "diet" you follow for 3 months then quit.
