P90X anyone want to share........

Cathlete
I decided to post this here in the open forum since it wasn't one of Cathe's productions........

What was the number one fitness gain you got from this series of workouts??

Weightloss....
Body fat reduction....
Increased endurance/stamina....
flexibility......
Core strength....(six pack anyone)
Cardio increase........

Let me know what you guys gained from having this series of workouts!
Thanks!

BTW I LOVE LOVE Cathe, but I was thinking about series that my hubby and I could both share and enjoy - - I think he might consider this one..........

P90X is a very advance well put together program, but it does not have the fun factor and beatiful setting or the great music of Cathe's workouts. This program when properly follow will acomplished all of the above, but it is not fun. It is mainly weight training, core and abs. The leg workout is not as good as Cathe's. The cardio workouts are effective but boring.

If you love Cathe you can achieve the same results with the Hardcore series, using the Gym Style workouts, Imax3, KM or KPC. I have both, but I love to workout to Cathe more than Tony from Beachbody.

Thanks! So Hardcore series and P90X are about the same as far as format?? I cannot get Hardcore until Christmas, and cannot wait!!!

I don't think that replacing P90X with Hardcore would work entirely. There are a few P90X workouts that you really cannot sub for, specifically the upper body workouts. Reason is, P90X includes some intense push-up and pull-up segments that cannot be replaced.

HOWEVER...I would replace:

Kenpo with KickMax or Kick, Puch and Crunch
Plyometrics with IMAXI, II or III
Ab RipperX with CoreMax
Core Synergistics with Muscle Max, Gauntlet, Power Hour, or Muscle Endurance

I added GS Legs and PLB to the P90X rotation and it worked beautifully!

Towards the end, instead of doing P90X Legs and Back, I did the pull-ups from P90X and the leg work from HSTA. I played HSTA, did a leg segment, paused it to do the required pull-ups, hit play for another leg segment, paused for pull-ups...made for an EXCELLENT workout!

Maybe you could just buy a few of the P90X workouts instead of the whole series and then the entire Hardcore series.
