Over 50 and new

Today I'm doing Cathes BootCamp.
Food was so so today but I have been more aware of what I eat since I joined this check in.
I don't know how to record of the TV either. I have so much to learn!
Off to get some endorphines!

im reading the back of the dve that has boot camp and muscle endurance
i thought i did it the other nite (muscle endurance) but i guess i did boot camp by the description
if i remember correctly i only did 40 something mins but thats the challenge, to each day do a little better..
but for now i have to unwind change clothes and get in the mood..
We must be stupid or something to not know how to record
LOL the kids do it like its second nature
When my kids and grandchildren come they show me how to do all these things LOL and they laugh at me, but they laugh with love..

Hi Colleen and Mariah: happy saturday! I did Cathe's LIC dvd and chest workout from Pyramid. Did good in the eating dept.accept for dinner. Chinese was calling and I had 2 white russian(oops).i plan on being good the rest of the night. Good luck with your recording.~Linny~

I can hardly type i just did all i can do of Boot Camp
and its funny i got to exactly where i did the last time but then was able to do more exersizes just not the cardio of the 7th circuit and only the dumbbells of the 8th then i died
so i have a goal just to get beyond
And i have to be truthful some of the cardio i tweak a bit and a few of the planks and pushups i do my own thing but still working on the same principle

Yum Chinese sounds good, but.. I already planned chicken and stir fried veggies that I cook
and a side salad
I am trying to follow OA which means you plan your meals and then dont stray from the plan unless you have to. Planning means it keeps you from compulsively eating something
Im finding that hard, but as in the exersize im trying to commit
even if im not perfect i can try

Be accountable who did wht today and who didnt
I understand Its Sat and you have the day off. thats ok if its a planned rest day but if you planned to exersize then Just Do It !!!
 
Hi ladies:
Mariah good for you! Boot Camp's a toughy. I did a oldie but goodie: Step Works. Then I did a little Butts and Gutts.I have a feeling I'm going to be a hurtin cowgirl tomorrow.
Just got back for grocery shopping,it seems to take forever now.I'm trying to eat more healthy and I read alot of labels now.

The adoption procedure has finally ended and My daughter and her partner will be bringing home their new child from Russia, Her name is JennaLorraine and she is a beautiful 8 month old girl, coming to live in a home filled with love.
And im now officially a Grandmother again..
 
Hi Ladies,

I do not post during the weekends, because I work on the computer all week long and the last thing I want to do is sit in front of one on the weekends. I walked 3 miles with a group of friends on Saturday and on Sunday I walked in 5k race with one of my brothers and his family, it was fun. Today I will be doing Push Pull when I get home.

Could I join the group? I will be 50 in June. Need a group to keep me motivated and I need to focus more on my eating habits. Will go walking with my hubby tonight and probably some sort of ab workout.

I also do not post on weekends, I also work all day on a computer. Let me know what else I need to do.

hurting is good sometimes lol

I did 1/2 hour of Gilad weights and a small bit of cardio then i thought Cathe on tv was supposed to be floor work but it turned out to be stability which i dont have and i hate anyway (no coordination)
i did about 15 mins of Cathe by just doing what she was doing but not on the ball

And of course you can join us, Tina,,, check in daily and lets keep each other accountable
Josie, you really give yourself a workout
i dont know how to reply and then go back to previous post but was it you that said you did 300 jumping jacks Holy Moley


Yea My friend showed me how to tape a tv program so i hope to be able to tape a couple of Cathe's programs
now i have to learn how to time it and tape when im not home so i can get a nice collection Even though there will be commercials it will do till i can get some DVD's

Hi Mariah, Linny and Tina.

I will be spinning at noon today and doing yoga at 7:30 tonight.
I'm glad that we have more ladies in our group. I'm also a grandmother of a 2 year old boy and love spending time with him.

I had him for 2 weeks over the holidays and we made cookies and went joggig together, he is such a good boy. His name is Michael Xavier.

Mariah, I did not do the 300 jumping jacks. Jumping jacks make me pee. I can do 200 walking lunges, but no jumping for me.

You are all so funny! I did a 2.5 mile walk with my hubby last night and was suppose to come home and do abs but didn't happen. Will do another walk tonight and will do an ab workout!

Josie: Can relate. If I don't go(pee) before I do jumping jacks the dams burst open.
I did Rhythmic step and shoulder workout today.Legs still stiff from sundays Butts and Guts.
We're suppose to get a BIG snowstorm starting tonight. Boy am I glad I have tomorrow off.

Forgive my butting in here -- am over 50, also -- I won't say how much over as I never tell my age.

Thought I'd mention that there is an exercise you can do to help in this pee issue.:) There are some muscles down there -- and of course I can't remember their name right now -- but the FIRM used to do exercises to strengthen these muscles -- and I noticed on doing these exercises (I still do them when I do leg work on the floor) that it really helped with this pee problem.

Geez, I can't remember what these muscles are called. You just tighten them, loosen them, tighten, etc.:)

Hi Mariah and everyone else! I know, I am not 50 but I suggested Mariah post here so must come and offer support. And every interesting woman I meet lately is over 50, so I am a definite wanna be.

The exercises my friends are called Kegel exercises. Take a web search on the topic, you will find what u need.

Today I did a 30 minute Turbo Jam Fat Blaster (someone please explain to me why I like Turbo Jam? i am SO anti-aerobic bunnies; must address in therapy). Then did Boot Camp leg only workout twice with moderate weight. Back spasms will force me to do some stretching later. Or if the snow stops, I will sit in my hot tub, which defintely counts as a workout. It makes me sweat right?

Today I will try to do Supersets. My husband metioned dinner tonight since it's Valentines day. I rather stay home and workout because I know that all of the restaurants are going to be full. Have a great day ladies and don't eat too much.

Dear Hubby got me some flowers today. I made his favorite cookie(White chocolate coconut macademia nut). Will go out for dinner this weekend to celebrate.

just home from work so will unwind a bit then do exersize
not sure which yet i taped legs and glutes from fittv the other day but holy sh.. it looks hard as hell
but maybe ill challenge myself
Im a waitress so im on my feet all day and at the end of my shift today i felt like there was something paper or food or whatever stuck to my shoe.. Took a look and it was the inside of my sole coming out
guess i need to buy new shoes

Happy Valentine's Day Ladies!

Woke up to a vase of flowers, candy and a card from Hubby and my boys. Busy night for us, baseball practice and piano lessons so this was nice.

Didn't work out last night, was too tired and fell asleep early but will do one tonight. Probably something short and sweet, ha, ha get it. :D Too much Starbucks today.
