OT: When did you say those three big words...

...with your Significant Other? How long were you seeing each other, and who said it first? Did you think it was appropriate timing, too soon, too late?

I have no SO at the moment, but my last boyfriend said it at about 4 weeks which felt really soon to me (but then we ended up being together for 2 years, so maybe not).

Is it a really bad sign that I no longer remember? I do remember that he said it by accident, didn't mean to, and then the jig was up and he was real emabarassed. But all that was 8 years ago and I don't know how long we had been seeing each other at that point. Probably a few months I would guess.

Editing to say the ending was happy, cuz we've been together ever since.

Proberly doesnt count because he was SO grateful haha...........but "later" on in our relationship, he did "mean it" and I could say it back

I said it first. It was 6 months after we started dated. Freaked him out and we almost broke up. Another 4 months later, and he was saying it back.
 
He said it first. More than a week after we met. The first words out of my mouth were: "Are you crazy?!?" Maybe he wasn't. Six years later, we were married.:)

Oh I do remember and it was 20 years ago too. I remember he kept saying that we have to talk. We went to a party at his friends house this is about a month into dating, well anyway I do remember he had the hicups so bad and loud but he did say it and then we got marry within 2 years:).
 
I said it about 6 weeks after meeting my SO. I meant it then and I mean it now (15 months later), but he doesn't love me. I will NEVER say it to another man unless he says it first and means it. Considering I'm living with my SO at the moment and my heart is being broken on a daily basis, I probably won't ever give a man the opportunity to say it to me. ;(

My dh said it first, about 6 months after we started dating. Then it kinda "dawned" on me...I loved him too!

Now 16 yrs later, I still say "it" about 6 times a day!
