OT/ favorite Halloween tales

I was thinking about a funny Halloween story that happened on Halloween when I was dating my hubby. We went to the state mental hospital to their annual haunted house. It was about midnight and I was driving and straight ahead there was this black cat laying in the middle of the road looking right at me and it didn't get out of the way, I tried to swerve to miss it but I ran over it, so I thought. I hurried and stopped the car to help the cat and looked all over and there was no cat in sight at all. we drove around and around and no cat, it was like there was never a cat at all. My hubby (boyfriend at time) said it was spooky for sure.

I don't have anything scary but when I was about 13 we were outside on Halloween watching the trick - or- treaters go by, as we were a little beyong that age-wise at that point. We were blaring this boombox and all of a sudden we heard this booming sound and we had a complete power failure in our area of Maryland. Very weird as it was suddenly pitch black and all you could hear was AC/DC's "Highway to Hell" coming out of the boombox at full volume.
