HI gang, I have to make a BBQ sandwich recipe for a baby shower tomorrow (using hamburger) and I thought somebody might have a really good lowfat recipe I could use. I am on Weight Watchers and can't seem to find anything.

Thanks. Marcia :)

Hi, I got this recipe from a low fat/light cookbook of mine. I havent tried it yet and it's actually a recipe for BBQ sauce for a 2lb portion of ribs, but it might work....

1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 8 oz can lower-sodium tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
3 Tablespoon honey
2 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon mustard
3/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Spray a cold medium skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Cook and stir onion and garlic over medium heat for 2-3 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in tomato sauce, water, honey, lemon juice, Worcesterhire sauce, mustard, celery seed, and pepper. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until sauce is desired consistency.
