Hi everyone,

I started using anti-aging eye products last year and need a good eye cream for preventative care. I don't really have any aging signs yet, so basically I need something to keep the area soft and smooth. I have been using Avon's Anew products, but only because my friend sells it. I'm not really crazy about it and am looking for something different. I will be 32 in February and really want to take good care of this area. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!

I hear TNS Recovery Complex is very good.

But my Nana used Oil of Olay for 50 years & died a beautiful woman, so that's what I'm sticking with.

Hi, That's great that your thinking of it now because the earlier you start the better,i am a few years older than you ,36 , and was starting to see some yucky stuff around the eyes ,not alot but it was enough so i started using Physicians Advice 24-hour Time damaged skin memory eye cream and ointment, you alternate the cream(intensive)one day and night and the ointment(gentle) the next and ive been really pleased with the results. My husband uses it too and i can really see the difference. Its sold at HSN.com at the beauty section just hit the see all brands and click on Physicians Advice and it will show you all thier products. It comes in 2 tubes that last a long time and is very reasonably priced!

The secret that I have heard over and over is vaseline. I use this nightly. I am 27, and have been using this for 2 years and I love it. My skin is so smooth.

Really Carla? I put it on my lips every night but I'm afraid to use it on my face--doesn't it clog your pores?

Hmmm...I have the vaseline sitting in my medicine cabinet. I will try that tonight. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!!

Isn't it funny that the cheaper stuff can be just as good. My grandmother is 82 and has always used Avon Vita Moist face cream. I'm not kidding when I say she looks younger than most 60 year olds. She has VERY few lines on her face. Of course she swears that wearing a hat and never letting her face in the sun is what made the difference and I'm sure that's true. But you bet I have a jar of Avon in my cabinet!

The best recommendations I have heard is to be vigilant about sunscreen and avoiding tanning.

As for myself i am a reformed sun worshipper.

I now use Clinique Stop-signs. But only because it was at Costco. I have tried Arbonne, which I like. Oil of Olay. I would try something different every year and see what gives you good results.

I enjoyed looking through that one book, "Don't go to the makeup counter without me" . Can't remember the author. You could browse the book in Barnes & Noble. I found the feedback very helpful. She gives honest reviews on thousands of products.

Good luck!

I'm curious about the vaseline myself.

I use Oil of Olay in the morning and have been using it for years. At night I use Jojoba oil. It's a great moisturizer! I have sensitive facial skin and my pores are easily clogged, but Jojoba oil is gentle and doesn't clog. I also use Retin A for exfoliation at least twice per week.

I do need to find something for the eye area. I'm 36 and starting to develop lines! x(
