I loved the first and second series. Series 3 was too Nate-and Lisa orientated. The character of Lisa makes me heave. Goody two shoes. Nate became a simpering guy trapped but denyiong it. Boring.
THe peripheral characters of the younger sister, Clare, and the gay brother, David, arte so much more interesting, especially Clare, the art freak.
They are programs on HBO and Showtime. I don't subscribe to either but have enjoyed a few HBO series now out on DVD and thought I might watch some others.
I love television, but don't watch 6 feet under, never heard of 24, can't stand Band of Brothers, and wish I had Showtime so I could watch Fat Actress but I'm already paying for HBO and Cinemax, and won't spring for another cable channel.
If it were up to me, there would be a Friends Channel that showed nothing but reruns of Friends and I would quit my job and watch Friends 24/7. Why am I SOOOOO addicted to that damn show??? Am I nuts??
24 is great!
I've seen the first two (?) seasons of Six Feet Under on DVD, and liked them, but didn't watch beyond that.
One show I really like on DVD is "Oz." But only if you can take really gritty drama (and lots of violence, penile nudity, sex between men and drug use!). And hardly anyone has a happy ending. Very well acted.
No you're not nuts Nancy. I love Friends too. I'm thinking of buying the DVD collection but I'd rather buy more Cathe DVD's if I'm going to buy any DVD's at all.
I haven't seen any of those shows except 24. We have DirectTv but no HBO etc.
I'm a Law&Order fanatic. I was sad when Jerry Orbach passed away.
I don't really watch too much TV. I'm always in here when I have free time.

Point of interest: the one thing I don't like about L&O is that they are always filming at the Surrogate's Court in New York whenever I am there. The cables and the equipment and the staff are forever in the way of the lobby check-in, and they have almost made me late for my court hearings! No kidding.
