opinion about the new serie

I did not want to order the new serie since it does not really have a focu. It's a mix of everything. I am really dying to get Gym Style but I know that the 3 day split would be tempting and I want to limit myself because I can go crazy and order everything. I want to control myself... not in a good money position right now and I would like to get the high step when I can.

Anyhow, my question is do you think the new serie would give a good weight workout or Gym style would be more intense. For Cardio, I only have Body Max 2 (which is great), Low Impact and Drill Max. Great workouts but that's only 3. Off course, there is so many premixes that I feel I have more than 3 workouts. But I feel the new serie would give me more variety on the cardio. It's just the weight segments. I mean it's 30 min of everything. Is that going to be a more fun or intense serie. What do you think?

My email is a mess of a bunch of info... sorry. The truth is I want:

-GS serie
-The new serie
-The hight step
-the 3 day splits coming later
-oh and a barbell.. i don't even have a barbell

and I feel this is too much $. So may be I will only get the 4 day and 3 day split from my list now. My birthday is end of november, i would ask for one of these things.

Life is so hard... I want it all LOL

Since the new series isn't out yet, it's hard to give any opinions on it. It's a gamble to preorder--you never know if you'll love it or not. I'm sure it will be fantastic, so I never hesitate but for some people it's different.

Hi Darine! Personally since your $$ is tight right now, I would suggest you stick with the new series (4 day split) just simply b/c of the 23 premixes. You can make the weight training segments longer if you want. The Gym Styles are very long weight training segments & the premixes I've never done. Can't comment on that. There's just much more cardio variety for you in the new series. You don't want to do strictly step. You'll be overtraining. Now go buy that barbell too!;)

Happy working out! Kathy:D

Haha. Thx. I agree. You are right, it's time to get a barbell :))

Hi Darine,

I would wait for the new series. The Gym Styles are great (they're my favorite strength series) but the premixes are only timesavers and there are only 2 on each DVD whereas the new series like Kathy said has 23 premixes so there will be so many more options. I am also looking forward to the new series because it's heavy lifting. If you'd rather have a little more endurance, I would go with the Gym Styles but if you want heavy lifting and cardio, I'd go with the new series.

The new serieS doesn't have a focus?

I disagree: it's focused on getting in both cardio and weights (heavy weights) in a four-day-a-week split routine. It's definitely much more of a rotation than most of Cathe other series (the exception being CTX).

It's hard to judge a workout before it's even out, but I think the 4-day weight split with heavy weight from the upcoming serieS would give an excellent weight workout.
