Good Afternoon!

Last night was the 2nd night in a row I've been up half the night so needless to say I didn't get my full workout in (no time for intervals). I did:

2 3/4 chins
10 double arm swings
5 burpees
35 swings (double, single and alternating)
3 turkish getups on each side
10 single arm swings on each side
20 alternating swings
15 double arm swings
10 cleans each side
8 military press each side
10 front squats
5 windmills each side
10 slingshots each side (keep going around your waist with KB) (could've used a higher weight with this)

Used 13# dbbl for turkish get-ups and 20# KB for the rest.

Deanie - I saw the 12 min. kb workout in OD and printed it out. Looks good to me. Nice to hear you didn't have to deal with the screamer today. I didn't order my DVDs yet but will very shortly.

Gin - How are you feeling today? Did you workout?

Good Evening Girls!

This morning I overslept (guess I needed it!!) and ended up doing (don't laugh!!) IMAX2 w/u, interval #1 and stretch!! It was about 18 min., I barely broke a sweat, but it was something. This week has been crazy with being sick and lots of activity at school and holiday activities,etc.
I am starting to feel back to normal finally.:)
Hopefully tomorrow I can do BC (original). Maybe next week I can try kb. So glad you both are enjoying them so much.

Real quick post to say that I did original BC and SM#2 this morning. I had to modify a little on the last 2 cardios of BC. I was starting to feel dizzy.:( Definitely feeling better though.

Good Morning Ladies!

Today I did Flow Yoga with Jennifer Lynn. Really loved this practice. It's one I can really grow with and had a little bit of everything. It's separated into four quarters. I only had enough time for three. Did side crow pose and got up into headstand with my legs crossed but couldn't lift them up. My balance and flexibility were good this morning. (I wonder if KBs are helping at all?) There were some interesting arm balances and she did 3 legged planks, pushups and updogs. There was a good core segment and my core felt strong today. She also did dolphin pose which is a forearm stand leading into a headstand.

Deanie - I ordered Providence! AOS is having their 12 days of Christmas sale and they had it for $39.99 and no shipping so I couldn't pass it up.

Gin - Glad you're feeling better. Even an interval of IMAX 2 is better than nothing. Good to ease your way back into things.

Marcy~ congrats on Providence!!:D I am doing that tomorrow. I didn't know about the 12 days of christmas sale, I am going to have to check it out daily. I still have Firepower and Santa Monica on my wish list. I hope you have no problems with your dvd being shipped to you!!

Gin~ I'm glad you are feeling better. Doing something is always better than doing nothing;) Its good to ease back into working out...

I was about to cancel STS and my DH insists that its already paid for, just get it....I am sooo on the fence about that! :confused: Can you tell I am driving myself crazy with should I or shouldn't I cancel??? 99.9% of me is sure I will never use it or only use it once, but that .1% says I already ordered it, and its something different each week, so......
 
Deanie - They've already had Empire State on the 12 day sale. I was so mad I missed it. They haven't had Newport on sale yet so if that one is for sale, I'll probably get it too since it's hard to find them anywhere else. I think Santa Monica's the one with the ropes, although I think you can do it without them. I think there's 6 or 7 more days to go.

I thought you canceled STS already. I checked out Collage and they are going to sell each Mesocycle separately and Ab Circuits separately. I asked them how much Ab Circuits was going to sell for and they said it will be $21.95. There's supposed to be an STS update today or tomorrow. I'll probably wait for the update and if I don't like it, I'll probably get Ab Circuits from Collage.

From the way things are going, I doubt they'll be here for Christmas. Not that I really care anymore. I preordered back in March.

Marcy~ I was all set to cancel, but DH was looking over my shoulder! If he wasn't there, it would have been done. Sometimes he is right about stuff and I jump too fast, so that was why I am hesitating;) I also would like to see about the update and then I really will make a decision. Santa Monica is with the ropes, but you can edit them out or do some other cardio in place of the ropes. Newport is tough, but you will definitely want to have that in your collection!! I saw they had Empire State on sale (Just now- I didn't know about the sale before you mentioned it) and was ticked!! I paid 52$ (shipping included)!! Oh well....

I don't care when STS comes out either...I preordered back in January:eek:
FYI- Cathe is selling each meso cycle separately and the ab dvd separately too.
 
Finally Friday!!

Good Morning

today was Providence! I used my 20#kb and all I can say is WOW WOW WOW and Holy Workout Batman!!!:eek::eek: My tush is sore already, and washing my hair in the shower was not fun!;) I was wiped by the end of the workout! I was fine and moving along (even skipping some 1 min. rests) until the tactical lunges!! I also was so warmed up, I was able to get down really low on the flip and squats. (and I flipped!!:D exciting!!) I did do 1.5 min of snatches at the end for the bonus challenge:) Anthony did 3 min!!

Gin~ miss "chatting" with you- it seems you are always in a rush. I hope this weekend is relaxing for you.

Marcy~ Did you kb today? If you can do Providence and then do interval cardio- I am going to bow down to you!!;):p That was one hard dvd! I did stretch max #1 when I finished. There was no way I could do anything else!! I also am going to avoid sitting today as much as possible. LOL

Good Morning Girls!

Today I ran and I think I am finally starting to feel back to normal. Tomorrow is my long run of 6 miles and hope I'll be able to do it.:p

Deanie~I miss chatting with you both in the day also. This time of year it is tough to keep up with everything and then being sick made me fall even more behind. Saturday I can catch up with cleaning, shopping, etc. but Sunday DH's family is coming in to visit.
Sounds like a doozie of a workout you did today. Already sore, huh?:eek: Will tomorrow be rest?

Marcy~I got the Pain Free workout yesterday in the mail. The one that you had heard about on VF. I did the 45 min. beginner dvd last night and thought it was good. Maybe I can straighten my back, become pain free and headache free after doing this. That sounds reasonable, right? Thanks for telling me about it.

I canceled STS!!!:eek: (sorry Gin)

It was actually easier to do than I thought....
I just am not excited about anything that I've seen, and I am very excited about the kettle bells, especially after doing the last 2 dvds. I'd rather invest the money in them.

PS- Marcy~ I saw Cathe is selling the ab circuits workout for $19.99 on preorder (it will be 21.99 after)

This morning I did MIC hi/lo (I know, not intervals but it's just what I was in the mood for and it worked timewise). Got through low and medium intensity no problem but modified throughout on hi-intensity. I had problems with my breathing this morning. I finally figured out it's when we have to put the heat up that my lungs close up. Dry heat and dry air are the culprits. For me, it's bring on the humidity!

I also did the 12-min. kettlebell complex workout from mtnathlete.com:

1 Arm Swing Left Hand - did 25
Figure 8 between Legs - full minute
1 Arm Swing Right Hand - did 25
Figure 8 - full minute
1-arm clean and press left hand: 8
Slasher to Halo - full minute
1 arm clean and press right hand - 5 1/2
Slasher to Halo - 45 secs.
1-arm snatch left hand - 3
lunges in place - full minute
1-arm snatch right hand - 3
lunges in place - full minute

I also did 3 turkish get-ups on each side. No 100 swings for me today. I think I should have done the KB workout first.

My whole upper body is sore. Today was pretty much an upper body workout.

Deanie - Congrats (I think!) on cancelling STS. I was just going to wait for the final clip. If I do cancel, I'll keep the preorder for Ab Circuits. You're scaring me about Providence:eek: I don't know if I'll be able to do the intervals on the same day. I don't think I'll be doing 1.5 mins. of snatches. I'll be lucky if I do 30 secs. Those were tougher than I thought, unless I was just too tired by the end to do them. I definitely think we'll need more stretching after doing KBs. I just got Janis Saffell's Dynamic Stretch for an SASE and I just recently got Tamilee Webb's Total Stretch.

I didn't go through a liter of water but noticed I am drinking more water. I'm sure I'll go through the same once I start Providence.

Gin - I'm glad you liked the DVD. I hope it works wonders for you. Glad you're feeling better and I hope you get your run in tomorrow.

FYI- new updates in the STS forums.

After this update, I am glad I canceled. Still no interest, but she is putting up a clip of plyo legs in a few days.

Marcy~ great workout, I may try the complex tomorrow, depending on how sore I am from today.....
 
Deanie - I saw the update. Do you know if Plyo Legs is in Meso 3 or is that an extra workout? I'm so close to cancelling!

Good Morning Girls!

Today was my long run of 6.2 miles. I felt pretty good. My right hamstring is still bothering me though. I am going to do Classical Stretch now. ErrandMax and CleanMax this afternoon.
I met 2 Catheites for dinner last night that I had met on the RT. It was great to see them and catch up.

Deanie~Sorry you cancelled STS, but I figured you would. I'll have to take a look at the kb clip. Are you still sore today from your gruelling kb workout?

Marcy~How was your breathing today?

Good Afternoon

I haven't worked out yet, and not sure if I will today. I was sore in a good way this morning, had to go to services and now we are back, I don't feel like working out. I may later depending on the way the day works out. If I don't workout today, I will definitely tomorrow. either day, I will be doing HIIT on the treadmill.

I have decided to continue with my PUB/PLB and kb weight work for at least one more week.

Gin~ glad you are feeling better. Your dinner with other Catheites sounds really nice!! Are you going to try the kb this week?

Marcy~ I hope you are having a nice weekend.
