OoOoOo~Clean/Tidy/TGIF~oOoOoO

Kl. good news about Milla. I went to my sons school for a parents meeting concerning the up coming test. Why do they stress the kids out so much...perhaps they don't prepare the kids for the test? I spoke to a counselor and got a hold of some old tests so that my son can practice.

kl. Fiber One bars???? Spill it please. Don't tell us it has horse hay in it;)

Kate good going with the non-treat at at school.

Lisa I hope the rest of the day goes well.

Morris....oh Morris...what's going on with the test?

Klaudia - I rarely buy the FiberOne bars because I know they are chock full of sugar and all that, but I alternate once in awhile between that and the kashi because it is a lot cheaper than the kashi. However, is there anything else in there that I need to know about???

Here you go...

Shellac
Just in case you haven't eaten your fill of bugs, here's another opportunity for insect consumption. Shellac—which is used to make that shiny coating on jelly beans and to give fresh fruits and vegetables that perfect, glossy finish—is made from the excretions of Kerria lacca insects that are native to Thailand. Again, vegetarian lobbyists have urged the FDA to require that labeling indicate if fruits and vegetables are coated with an insect-derived substance. The FDA wouldn't go that far, but, according to Jacobson, it did require produce packers to disclose whether any coating used is animal- or vegetable-derived. "But it would be on a placard or on the box of produce, not in bold type on the fruit or vegetable itself," says Jacobson, and not necessarily displayed to grocery shoppers. "And I don't know that the regulation is very strongly enforced," he adds.

Lisa, I was doing the same thing-alternating with the Kashi. Now I just buy the Kashi and Quaker Simple Harvest-not as much fiber, but no shellac, either.

Robin, what grade is your son in? Is it a standardized test? I hate those!

I PASSED!!!:D:D

I am so relieved. i then went sho[pping and got a great dress to show off my super cut arms:cool: (the ones from last weekend went back based on popular opinion.) came home and mowed the grass and off to get kids - whew it is 3:15. oh, and i did some circuit ub stuff (didn't know i'd be mowing the lawn, which really is a full body wo!). now i can look forward to tonight.

kl, great news about mila! so much is dependant on getting a good teacher, isn't it? what do your kids do during the summer?

kate, yeah on the clean eats and prek done.

lisa, i hear ya on the buisiness. hope things slow down soon.

robin, what do you think of the 10 min solutions?

eats are awesome today, and i am feeling good. having some tea right now and off i go. and soooo sorry to hear about the fiber 1 bars. they totally hit mysweet tooth just right. the one i had yesterday was so good, not fiber 1, but something from the health food store made by "gnu." kind of pricey, but a good splurge to avoid the bakery:eek:

anyways, if i am not back later, i will be tomorrow.

Hi Everyone!

Well I took today off to burn vacation but I have been running all day. I had a con call this morning, then off to physical therapy. Got some more exercises to do at home. I need to strengthen my right quad - it is weaker than the left. Then I did my errands. The only thing I have to do tomorrow is dry cleaning. Chris had to get dressed for work today so I couldn't go.

Angie, Thanks for the tip about lose it. I actually use the daily plate app since I can log on with my computer or use the iPhone app. I am glad France feels like home.
Katie, Enjoy your rest day! I have a hard time going 2 weeks straight with my workouts.
Klaudia, ^5 on the ab definition. Keep up the great work. Great news about Milla.
Robin, I hadn't heard that about the swine flu in NY. I am glad the news has stopped making it the top story.
Lisa, I understand busy days. I am hoping this weekend is calm.
Morris, congrats on passing! Which gnu bar did you have? I have seen them but I didn't know if they were any good.
Kate, you will kick your sister's butt running tonight!

w/o was KB Surge
b: oatmeal w/ almonds
s: almonds
l: grilled chicken salad

I am off to get a snack now.

Hey all! Just finished watching the season finale of lost. That show is quite addicting!

I used my cal counter all day and it was good! Eats were good and I feel lean!

Klaudia thanks for ruining another food... No big deal for me tho. Just don't take away my clif bars.

Morris enjoy your new dress! Post pics of your super cut arms so I can be motivated!

Ok going to bed. See you in the am.

Congrats Morris!! Glad you found a dress! Post pics of those arms!!

Klaudia - I was right...bug poop it is. I'm at the point where I try to eat relatively healthy and hardly buy processed stuff so when I do, I just shrug some of it off. It is hard to not buy processed though. No more FiberOnes for me. Back to Kashi and maybe I'll even do the larabars since they have them at Costco now. I don't think I could give up the occasional jelly beans though. :p Oh and congrats to Milla! Please tell me the larabars are bug poop free!

Colleen - I hope you have a relaxing weekend also. Those are the best!

Angie - Rest well!

Back from the school program and debating if I should go into work. Probably just work from home and get ready for the weekend. Planning on an uphill stroller walk today. Kashi for bfast with a banana. Lunch? Probably leftover chicken.

Lisa

Way to go Morris!! We knew you could do it!! Post a pic of your dress and of you in it:) My girls dance til the end of June, then Milla's always been in a speech program and Danica takes tennis, golf, and drama!! This year I'm not sure what we'll do since Milla's speech therapist says she doesn't need therapy over the summer:)

Colleen, a vacation day is better than a work day no matter what you end up doing:)

Angie, sorry about the shellac;) Just looking out for my clean and tidy peeps! Your clif bars are safe!

Done with Plyo Legs! Whew! And now I need to shower-again!

klaudia, yay milla!!!

Lots of positive energy here today!

Kate, good job on the eats. Have a great run!

Wish me luck-I'm off to get my hair did:)

Kate - Come to think of it, I think it was giving me bad gas too! I got a Costco size of Kashi bars today anyway. DH will eat the FiberOne, lol. He totally doesn't get too phased by things like that.

Klaudia - Hope you like your new do!

Dinner is made and it's only 1pm here!! Did that so I could wo in peace without worrying about timing and needing to get things done.

Lisa

Lisa, Dinner in the crockpot? Hope you got your WO in!
Mike pretty much goes along with whatever I tell him about food grossness stuff! Except his WO drinks....I REALLY wish he'd quit with a lot of that stuff.:(

-
Did the run with Laura. I have mixed feelings about it. Def didnt run the whole time. We did laps around the middle school track. She started out faster than me but I eventually caught up with her and I recovered much quicker...which I think is more important. Please tell me it is!!:D I was ready to run again beofre she was. We're going to meet up again Sunday and do the actual course.

Kate - OMG, DH does those drinks too. He swears he picks the "good" ones....which I say there really are no "good" ones. He finally is just doing a vitamin pack now which is a step better than those stupid drinks. We have to come up with a plan to get them to stop, lol!
